Thanks Nellie -- I hope to make a Costco run while in the city this weekend -- yippee! I'll look for it. Can you tell I wasn't much of a cook even before going on SBD?

Lauren, I didn't cook much until I started trying to lose weight. It has been the biggest asset to me I think. I've spent some money buying spices, olive oils, untensils, cooking accessories, etc. I enjoy trying new recipes and I get to eat some tasty things without having to go out for food and not know exactly what is in my food.

I have a friend who has been doing SBD for a while now and she said that was the biggest thing for she and her husband -- the cooking. I agree. Sometimes I feel like my DH's personal chef, but he is learning, too (just a little more slowly) and I think he'll be able to help more and more as time goes on.

It does make going out so much more of a TREAT!!!

Not enough vegis. Also you cannot count iceberg lettuce as anything and it is best to just eliminate it from your diet cuz it takes up space that good nutritious vegis could go in. Also I noticed you saying you were still on Phase I but yet you mentioned eating some foods that are not PI foods.

Maybe just start your two weeks over and really get the vegis down (follow PI to the letter) and be strict about your nut intake and really read those labels and get rid of those foods that are sabotaging your hard work. You can do this just need a few adjustments.

Default You guys are amazing!

Thanks so much for you help. I have gotten so much great input. The consensus is....not enough Vegies and DO NOT CHEAT AT ALL. Ok, I can do this. So today, 10/18 will be the new start day of my phase I. I will not cheat I will not cheat I will not cheat...that is my new chant. Wow, I'm so thankful to all of you. What a great support group! I will update my signature and keep you posted. Thanks again.

Vegies, vegies, vegies!
