JennyG, swae85, gtech, JennT Chey, net knee, primm and Michelle! You all are amazing! Suite, you just give me inspiration by all the support you give and only +.8 after vacation WooHoo!
So now my excuses start.....I didn't weigh in last week because my DH had long overdue surgery last Monday correcting an old injury on his arm. Then I spent a lot of the week sitting around...excuses, excuses!
I am up 1lb at weigh in this afternoon.
Group total is now 65.3 Sorry!
But I got on my bike and did 30 minutes of serious pedalling when I got home! Wish me luck on my vacation that starts next week.
WTG, luvmyfam! By the way, nice to see another NEPA-er on these boards (I moved to New England for school but I was born and raised in Scranton)
gtech2mit10,
Hello! We've actually only lived here (about an hour south of Scranton on I-81) for about 3 years. But my dad was born, raised, got his Bachelor's, in Wilkes-Barre. He moved to MD in '66, for a teaching position. My mom was born & raised in Bucks County, graduated from West Chester, and moved to MD in '67 for a teaching position. I guess they met in '68 or so, married in '71 (I was born in '74). Dad worked on his Master's at Scranton in the summers, and he finished it in '78, right around when my youngest sister was born. His mom's side of the family is all still around W-B. Reminds me, we're due to go see my Gram soon . A college friend is from Scranton as well, and dh's sister got her Bachelor's of Nursing there in '99.
As for me... Well, I was born & raised in Maryland . Went to college out east of Pittsburgh, where I met my dh (who was born in Williamsport, PA, but was raised in northern VA). We married out that way and lived there until October '99. Our son was born in that area in '96.
Then we were up in the Finger Lakes region of NY for about 6 years. Our daughter was born there, in '04, and in Aug/September '05 we moved down here. So we've kind of been all over!
Still, NEPA is one of those areas that are in my blood, because we spent so much time visiting my grandparents, especially in the summertime.
I noticed MIT in your ID name. Is that where you are now? A cousin who is from Kingston went there for his Bachelor's. He graduated long before me, though. Probably about 10 years ahead of me.
Up a bit due to vacation and DD wedding. Had fun, but ready to get back into my normal routine.
Up 2.6 for two weeks, totally know why, did not journal and measure all the time, but did alot better than the old me would of done given these same choices, so I'm happy that it wasn't more.
Group total- 72.75
Good Job to all the Flexer's that lost last week. Hope we all an OP week, and stayed focused.
Everyone is doing great! I love how we all are so positive and can put a gain in perspective comparing it to how our 'old selves' would have behaved! The longer I am on WW the more I appreciate the fact that I recognize old habits and avoid them, but don't stress out about the going out to dinner or having a barbecue. Great inspiration from everyone!
congratulations everyone!!! i think we are all doing awesome!
kahnfv: 2.4 pounds lost is great! my view is that any month with a loss is a good month. good on you for working towards your goal!
