Basically. But you don't have to post your weight if you don't want (even though some of us choose to), just the change in weight at each weekly weigh-in. It does look as if at the start of the month people post their weight, though. And yes, then we add our loss or subtract our gain from the group total at each weigh-in. That just makes it easier to keep track as it goes.
For instance, At last week's W/I, I was up 2.2 lbs from the week before. So I had to subtract that from the group total.
Hopefully this week will reflect a loss for me, and then I'll add that amount (say 1#) to the group total.
At the one WW meeting I did attend, they did the same thing. I think it's cool to see how much we've lost collectively.
This is how I do it, but everyone's different. The main thing is to post your results and the group total of pounds off, sorry to start off with a gain, but I know you guys will wipe that out in no time
6/27 ---> 157.4 | -0.6 ~~~ 17.2 off
7/01 ---> 158.0 | +0.6 ~~~ 16.6 off

I hear ya!! Me too!! Although I do have one more left on the 12th and then a baby shower on the 13th!! I have got to stay FOCUSED this week and not eat like a starving goat!!!
