Default Feeling Discouraged, Need Support and Motivation

I have been on MRC Plan since february 25, 2010. I was so excited to start MRC. Yesterday I went for my weighed in and overall just lost 14 lbs Im soooo discouraged. I cried at the center, on my way home, and at home. I was so depressed yesterday and still depressed today. I have increase my exercise and water last week. I was hoping to be down 265 but instead 271.5 (ugh). I dont know what to do!!!! Any advise will help!!!

I don't know if this is helpful at all....but when I read your post I thought.....You're down 14 pounds in a little over 5 weeks! I know with me I wanted it to go quicker than it did.....but you're almost 3 pounds a week gal! That's good!

i Can understand, it's hard to know that you have worked so hard and you dont see the results you think you should see.

You are doing great though!! your body will figure out what is going on and sometimes you may lose more. Hang in there!!!

Moten-I think you are doing great. At times it does get frustrating b/c it is a lot of work that we are putting into this journey, but remember we didn't gain overnight either. Keep your head up... you are doing great!

Hey you are doing really good! don't give up on your self.. You are getting there. Remember, it took a while for the lbs to come on and it will take a while for them to come off.. Keep going you will get there..

I completely understand how you feel. My home scale and the gym scale were saying two different things. So, I got rid of my home scale and bought a digital. They say it is best to only go by the weight of 1 scale. I also try to weigh naked. Hope that helps

My home scale is 2lbs lighter than MRC. I just add 2 lbs in my head every time I weigh. I figure that MRC's is probably more accurate. I usually weigh in at lunch, so I've eaten breakfast, and had a ton of water. That might be the difference too..

I've hoped the losses would be more too, but in the end I remember that I'm loosing. A pound here a pound there.. It all adds up.. You're doing great..

Porchmom .... you're doing great!! 14 pounds is awesome. I know we all hope the weight will magically disappear, but it doesn't work that way. We didn't gain it in a month, we won't lose it in a month. Hang in there. And all scales are different!

I think you're doing a great job! I think setting a goal to drink at least 100 oz is good. That is one of the things I've taken from other peoples post and it did seem to give me a bit of a boost. A tip to get more in is right when you get up in the morning grab a 20 or 24 oz glass and drink it first thing in the morning.

You are doing a great job, 14 pounds of fat is gone, pick up 3 five pound bags of sugar for a visual of what you used to carry around. 14 lbs is no small feet and you didn't put it on overnight so it's not going come off overnight. Stick to the program, it works!!
