I weigh daily and aim to keep my weight between 133-138 (although down to 130 is fine too). I only worry if it's been over 138 for several days running.

I like to stay at no more than 2 pounds above goal. My weight doesn't fluctuate much, so any more than that is an actual gain, not a fluctuation. I haven't been at goal for several years though, and my new "goal" is 13 pounds above the original one.

This system has been working well for me for close to a year now and I've only hit 142 on a couple of occasions (and I'm FAR from perfect in my maintenance habits).

This is really encouraging, thanks!
Just back from holiday, didn't pig out, so hopefully not too much damage done!

I would say I *generally* control things pretty tightly. Coming back from a vacation it's not uncommon for me to be up 4-5 pounds, but it comes off pretty quickly when I focus on it.

I definitely have a "red line" weight as well and that's usually only about a 2 pound gain before I hit it.

I have been maintaining for a year. I weigh everyday..and like others cut back if I am over my pound range. I was keeping between 125-128. Now I have crept up to 128-31. I am going to focus on getting below 128. I am happier there and tend to stress out less when I am there.

I read somewhere that the optimum maintenance is keeping within 3-5 percent up or down of goal.

I have a happy maintenance range of 133-138. I used to hang around 133 more, but with a bit of indulgence I hang out at 138 most of the time, which I'm OK with, but I'm thinking of tightening up a bit to get back down to 135. I weigh everyday, I really need that accountability. I find I get more obsessive about food when I don't weigh (if I'm away for a few days and don't have access to a scale) than when I am able to weigh every day.
