If you can report back when you get the specifics, I would appreciate it. I don't see a coach, and I thought I read somewhere on the forum that they can be used interchangeably, so I've been doing just that.

Thanks everyone for your answers on my olive oil question yesterday.

Great weigh-ins today... we can do this! My second weigh in was today and I'm down 2.4 pounds this week. I wanted Biggest Loser weigh-ins, but I'm not spending the entire day exercising, so as long as I continue moving steadily downward, I'll be happy. My long term goal is 62 pounds by July 1, so I'll be close if I can manage to loose 10 pounds a month. From what I've seen here, it's certainly doable! With any other diet I've been on, for me that would be an unrealistic goal, unless I spent the day in the gym, which I certainly don't have time to do.

I will get back to you Monday. I hope they can be used interchangeably.....I LOVE lime, actually prefer lime to lemon.

Great losses. Love reading about them.

My coach is okay with lemon OR lime used sparingly.
I also use True Lemon & True Lime. These are powdered and are 0/0/0

Anyone that eats tofu had any slow results?

Day 3 here I come...!! Have a great day all!
I am a vegetarian and my main proteins for dinner are tofu, eggs, and Gardein Chick'n Strips. I usually just rotate these throughout the week. The sheet that I have includes plain tofu in the other protein category that is allowed.

There are many vegetarians around here who are on IP. I try and balance with lower carb vegetables since tofu (and other fake meat products) do have some carbs.

Are you eating something with sugar alcohol in it like malitol? Or maybe a lot of broccoli that you aren't used to? They would both cause gas. Ketosis can also be recognized by bad breath, your deodorant doesn't seem to make it all day anymore, and you suddenly have more energy.

Any kind of herbs or seasonings (read labels to avoid sugar or table salt additions) walden farms products make nice marinades or glazes.

A tiny bit of lime zest would give a lot of flavor with no carbs.

You can do it! The rewards for diligence way outweigh the temporary sacrifice!

Everyone processes differently so you will have to look at what you are eating. I have heard people complain specifically about cauliflower, rutabaga and omega 3 capsules. I think that if you usually didn't eat very much fibre before your body may need to adjust. Try upping your water intake when you eat your veggies and don't forget to have a good variety of veggies.

I have been told that if you are following the diet then just trust that you are in ketosis. Other symptoms people describe are: being not as cranky as first week, metallic taste in mouth, bad breath, loss of cravings, weight loss...

That is awesome! Are you planning on doing a 5K?

Congrats!!!! You're so close and I can only imagine the feeling once you hit your goal. The real triumpth is that you have succeeded from start to finish and stayed with it. I'm so excited for you! It's very inspiring to me to see so many people reach their goals and makes me believe that I can too once and for all.
