Yeah, I think I'll be pleased if I can follow Anita all the way through!
I did Day 12 yesterday - finding Level 2 really hard! My ankles and calves are pretty sore, I think from all the jumping. Lots of substituting on the plank moves too. I hope today gets a little easier...
I started the 30 Day Shred last night with level 1. I am pretty out of shape right now, so it was very hard. I think doing it every day will be too hard on my body, so I am going to do it every other day with some sort of cardio (probably walking and my pilates video) worked in the alternate days. It will take me 60 days to do it, but I will feel safer pushing myself because I won't be as worried about injury.
I followed along with the video and did my best, but wasn't able to do all of the segments the way I am supposed to. I tried to modify the best I could making sure that I was still working hard. Instead of jumping jacks, I ran in place. And during some of the large lower body moves with the upper body moves, I put my weights down for about half of it.
I used 5lb weights which were probably okay if I wasn't doing the lower body things at the same time. And, for the chest presses, I think 5lbs was way too light. I think I will use 3lb weights and a set of 10lb weights as well for the next time I do the video.
After it was over, I felt great and I still do the next day! I'm looking forward to doing this and can't wait to see the changes in my body. It's the perfect compliment to my weight loss so far from eating changes.
I started this on Saturday and rested on Sunday (Sun is always my rest day). I had day 2 on Monday and on Day 3, I must have done something wrong because my lower back hurt the next morning. But it did not stop me from doing day 4 last night! I knew if the pain was bad to stop, but it didnt actually bother me. I'm looking forward to the end of these 30 days to see what kind of results I get. Now, if only my home didnt have so many stairs, I'd be okay.
I missed doing Day 4 on Tuesday night because we didn't get home until 10:00PM. However, I did Day 4 Level 1 last night. Day 5 tonight! It is getting easier and I am not having to rest as much during the cardio and the push ups.
I did Day 14 yesterday. My ankles were really painful again and swelled up in the evening afterwards! I think I will take a rest day today, and get back to it tomorrow.
I've been bad. I was going to start up level 2 this week. But then, I had midterms...and company over. THEN, I got sunburnt, so it's so painful to move. I can't imagine doing level 2. I know, excuses, excuses.
I hope, *fingers crossed* I'll start level 2 tomorrow. Congrats to everyone who is keeping with it!
I didn't do day 5 last night. I have been sore all week and had an early start this morning, so I decided to take a break and pickup with day 5 tonight. I have to say taking it easy last night was a good idea. I went to bed early and woke up ontime and have minimal soreness! I feel great!
Whew! Day 16 today.
Some of those plank moves on Level 2 are still so hard.
Day 17 is going to have to wait until Tuesday. I bet it'll be really hard after taking that many days off. UGHHHH.
Day 15 (Friday) i skipped.
Day 16 (Saturday), I did Level 2
Day 17 (Sunday), I tried Level 3 (rock star jumps - she must be kidding!).
Day 18 (Monday), i did a Yoga DVD instead.
Back to Level 2 today... hope everyone had a good holiday!
