All of you are doing great!

Thursday - LS Pilates, weights, crunches and walked 2.5 miles at lunch (and yoga with DH)
Today - I completed all four miles of the Biggest Loser Walk DVD. Using my heart monitor I burned 511 cal and my average heart rate was 140 bpm. Some of the moves are similar to LS workouts. There is a lot of jogging and strength training in this workout. It was tough at times but I was determined to finish it.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I did the 1 Mile again. It's the DVD with weighted balls (which I substitute cans of green beans lol) but I didn't use them this time. Earlier I did some strength training (bicep curls and wall push-ups) and thought maybe I should just lay off. I had been using them everyday though, I don't think they're hard on my arms.

It was still a good workout though. I can feel my legs "popping"! Hehe.

Karen - the 5K with a twist is actually a 5K (3.1 miles). there are markers at the end of 1 mile, 2 mile and of course at the end of 3.1 miles. you can jump off at any of those markers. this one is just Leslie with no background walkers. i think you can watch a piece of it at collagevideo. hope this helps!

Cathy - I modified the jumping jacks. I started to do some, but backed off after a few seconds. My sides are a little sore from the side turns (bowling moves). I guess those muscles don't get used that often. I don't think I will try the complete 4 miles anytime soon. Two possibly three miles is enough of that workout. But I do love it. It was a challenge and I need a challenge right now.

Garland - Keep up the good work. You don't want to get discouraged so just stay at the level you are comfortable with.

Today - 3 Mile Bootcamp - my heart rate averaged between 116 and 122 bpm with 257 calories burned.

Have a great weekend everyone. Still cold and overcast here. High in the low 40's and foggy.

Thumbs up

Hello everyone I am 5 for 5 today: 5 days, 5 watp workouts.

Today I did the 1mile Walk Diet dvd.

I sure didn't want to do it tonight but knowing I didn't do it would've lasted much longer than the 15min or so it takes to just do it. I'm working on making this attitude a permanent one.

Everyone's doing so great, it's really an inspiration.

I'm not feeling great this morning (argument with my boyfriend last night) but I decided I could do the 1 Mile Express Walk with the resistance band. It was a little easier than the other walk but I had forgotten how much the resistance band works. My arms definitely felt the burn. I'm glad I went ahead and did it.

I wonder, is it harmful to do the band/ball arm workout everyday? I heard you're supposed to wait a day between working out arms. But maybe that only applies if you lift heavy weights?

Garland - I don't know - I usually do an arm workout then leg workout.

I managed to find an Australian distributor for some newer WATP DVDs. I should get them in the next fortnight. I can't wait.

I am still doing the WATP 2 mile. I go to WW and had my regular weigh- in today. I am 0.6kg lighter!! WOOHOO!!

My son is thinking healthier and wants to join me for WATP LOL. He is my motivation. "Cmon mum, let's do the video". He even gets my hand weights out for me to use. LOL

Everyone here is so dedicated! I am impressed! I did one workout last week and I am hoping to do much better this week. I would really like to get in at least 3-4. Thanks for being so inspirational!

Hey everyone! So nice to sign in and see all of the work being done here!! You guys are great! I didn't do any formal exercise over the weekend. Did get out yesterday and spend about 30 minutes helping fiance re-distribute hay over grass seed he had planted out at his place.

Was back at it this morning with the 3 Mile Weight Loss walk w/ 2# hand weights. I tried using the 10# vest I bought. I took it off after the first mile, as it seemed to be bothering my left shoulder/shoulder blade area a bit. I had neck surgery in the late 90's and that area has always given me problems since, so I don't want to irritate any nerves. I will carefully use the vest and see if I can work up to wearing it longer.

Have a healthy day everyone!!

Happy Monday morning ladies!

Great News! I finally reached Onederland!!!! I am so excited. I have been stuck at 200 since Christmas Day and this morning when I weighed in I was shocked to see 197.5. Those extra workouts and cutting a few calories have really paid off.

Sunday - 5-Day Slim Down (miles 2,3 and 4) calories burned 321 (heart rate ranged between 116 and 132).
