2 Mile Power Walk With Friends w/ weights and 10 pound vest.

I ordered the above last week when Leslie was on QVC. It came with another DVD that has 3 workouts (1 mile, 2 mile and 3 mile) and 2 pound hand weights. They arrived yesterday. I had to leave early for work so only had time for a 2 mile today; thought I'd buzz through this one......I was surprised! I REALLY worked up a sweat and WOW....the arm work with the weights was really intense (at least for me). I had stacked weights to equal 3 pounds each side, but reduced back down to 2 pounds for the second section that used them. My arms are really tired....but in a good way!

I got a new dvd- Walk Slim, did 2 miles with resistance bands during final stretch. She made me cringe when she said you can work off a meal with this workout. I hope no one takes that seriously. Otherwise, a nice change of pace.

Karen - I agree. I don't like it when any exercise guru makes false promises. I guess if you had a meal under 250 calories then it would be a true statement. I love to hear encouraging words, like this will make you healthier or increase your energy, but false promises turn me off. At this age I know what works and what doesn't.

Last night - Tough, tough bicycle ride (45 mins). I have never been so soaked. When I was done with that workout I needed a shower. I also took my 2.5 mile walk at lunch.

Wow, Leslie is usually pretty realistic about these types of things. Interestingly in the new one I did today, she reminds us that although we may be soaked in sweat...it does not indicate weight loss or water-weight loss.

AnnieDrews, I bought the same DVD and have used it three times so far. I am really out of shape so the one mile with the hand weights was really hard for me. Your two mile with the handweights AND a weighted vest--wow, I'm inspired!

It is copyrighted 2007, so I am not sure if this is new. It has a firm band included. In the first mile I believe. It is new for my Wal Mart.

Yep, I was really surprised how tired my arms got. I've not done arm moves like that before. Good for us, though...Yes??

1 mile slim down, resistance bands, horse back riding today. Weather will be warm and overcast. Rest of the week it will get really cold. Glad to ride today. Glad to WATP rest of the week. The weather does not effect my work out indoors.
