Hi everyone! I've been out of pocket as I have been moving into a new home! Almost done with the last minute stuff at the old place. My son promised me to hook up the DVD player today and I hope to be back to my routine tomorrow or Thursday morning. Expect to see me as I get back to being accountable for my exercise. I've actually missed it!

Good morning,

On Sunday I walked 3 miles using the Ab Belt (not my favorite). My five-year old granddaughter watched me work out and was not sure what I was doing. She kept clapping her hands and telling me I was doing a great job (my cheerleader). She is something else.

Yesterday I was just burned out, but still busted out one of my dvds and walked 2 miles of the boosted walk and then lifted some weights. I also walked 2.5 miles during lunch. I really notice that I am walking a lot faster now and I am averaging 16 min walks. We have a park near my office with a one mile lap around it. Since there are no streets to cross you can really get a powerful walk in. I bought some Reebok Simply Tone shoes and keep them at my office. They are really comfortable and add a little bounce in my step. Not sure if they do anything, but they are comfortable.

Tonight is Pilates/Yoga night.

Cathy Thanks for asking. Yes I did decide to go back into work on Monday. I was told that I would have to take the pay cut if I stayed so I gave my 2 weeks notice. Brought the resignation letter in today. My last day will be Sept 10th and then I am taking my 18 days of personal leave. They were not going to give me full pay if I took it in one lump sum. I have not been actively looking but will as soon as I am done. It is hard to do that when your at work until 3:15 every day. I do want to get to the VA hospital (it's 30 miles away) and pick up a new application to get turned in. So guess I am going to be taking a breather for a bit. But not to long.

I'll be glad when this is all over it has run my blood sugars up a bit and no telling what my blood pressure has been.

I worked out with 1lb weights and Tony Little last night and boy am I sore today. Had some old VHS tapes of his and then today did a 1 mile walk focusing on arms. I am cutting back a bit on the length. Just feel wore out.
