Default I'm New Here!!!

Hello all! Here's my story...

So my weight has hovered around 130 ever since I was about 17. At 5'4" that is a fine weight, but leaves some room for improvement... especially since I'm probably the definition of "pear shaped."

This summer I was wined and dined at an internship, and went up to 137(8?)lbs! I got back down to 130 in September/October and have maintained since then.

I got out of a 3.5 year long relationship in September, and in the last few months my ex has really focused on being healthy/going to the gym and has gone from a "barrell chested" 215lbs to a very lean and nice-looking 185lbs. Not to say that his loosing weight is my ONLY reason for wanting to do the same... but it is frustrating! We are still friendly, and he's been offering me advice on what to eat (e.g. he thinks I eat way too much sodium) and how I should be working out.

Now, my goal is to break into the teens in a healthy way - eating lots of protein and "slow" carbs and working out almost every day.

My plan was to stick around 1300 cals or so, allowing for a little more on the weekend so I'm not depriving myself for frear that a few drinks will push me over.

I've been great about going to the gym (except the past two days because I've been sick!) ... usuually when I start a workout regimine, I get a little obsessive and run for 3+ miles and spend hours at the gym... needless to say I get exhausted and quit pretty early.

I've been focusing on keeping my gym time around an hour... 25-30 minutes of cardio and then 30 minutes of weighs/toning exercises.

119 is obstensibly my goal... but its really an arbitrary number... aside from the fact that it would be lovely to be in the "teens," I really want to see some PHYSICAL differences... more toned arms, legs, and butt!

I'm moving to a new (big) city next winter, and I want to look great and have some healthy eating/gym habits for when I start my high-powered (desk) job!

Anyways, happy to be here and for any help this forum can offer me!
