Default My weight is bouncing. any ideas?

I weigh myself every day, because its what keeps me motivated. But here have been the past couple days.
saturday:145
sunday:149
monday: 146
tuesday:148
wednesday:145
thursday:147

I'm totally bewildered. The first time it happened i figured i was bloated, water retention from the stuff that i had eaten the day before. etc.
But this morning was the third time it happened. Ya, i ate a little more than normal yesterday, but i also went to the gym and still ate relatively healthy stuff.
Is there an explanation for the up and down numbers?

I'm not a "featherweight" but I caught this on the front page. I'm having the same problem, my weight is bouncing around the same 5lbs for the last two weeks. All you can really do is look and see if there's anything you can improve with your diet/exercise, and ride it out.

Weight fluctuation is normal, that's why sometimes it's not good to weigh in every single day, having said this, I also weigh myself every day and it can be frustrating... Really take a good look at your sugar, sodium and processed carb intake, make sure your diet is super clean...

My weight has been bouncing around too. I was bouncing around between 142-144lb last week and this week it is 144-146. What the heck is going on with me?! I have been calorie counting and staying withing 1200 calories, so I couldn't have eaten my way up to 146.

I think its the curse of the 140's! I swear I think our bodies really fight us at this point... Maybe because (at least for me) it will be the smallest I have been in my adult life.. and body fat levels at that point are getting good and low

So, I think that it just takes a lot for the body to let go. That's just my theory!

I agree with Dedikayted as well. I stoped weighing myself daily a couple of months ago because it was just too frustrating to see the bouncing. If I have one slice of pizza it goes up the next morning 2 -3 pounds even though there really is nothing wrong with having once slice of pizza. I only weight myself once a week now and that seems to work better for me. I know for my body sometimes it can take a couple of weeks to see change.

I can SO relate. 147-149 appears to be the window in which I will sit... FOREVER. sigh. Its helpful to know that others are experiencing the same thing...but I worry that, especially as many of us are closer to goal, that it might not get any better than this!
If anyone reads these, bounced around in the 140s forever and finally moved downwards again, please let us know if anything specific worked for you...other than eating clean, exercising etc.
good luck all!

How long have you been weighing daily? I've been doing it long enough to know that would be crazy erratic for ME. But maybe that's normal for you. I get weight fluctuations. I'm up a full pound today for no good reason. But my up blips are never more than a pound unless it's over the course of a couple days or if I ate really horribly the day before. I tend to drop to a new a low and then bounce up before dropping to a new low again.
