I am 5'4.
My perfect weight is 117-120 lbs.
I weighed 138 before and that was way too heavy for me.
After 125, I start getting a definate stomach, love handles, back fat and cellulite.
When I am 120 my stomach is flattwe. I have little cellulite and no love handles. I feel much more comfortable in my body at that weight.
Under that, I start getting too bony and that is also uncomfortable.
Weight sits different on different people however.
Since fat tends to go to the middle of me,
I personally think I look "more yummy" (lol) at 120
5'4.5" and 150 is perfect. Below that I look gaunt. I am somewhat large boned and XL Hat size; clothes size 6-8 at this wt. Lots of variation among us, wow!
So I am 5'3 (a little under the topic I know). I started at 135-140 and was wearing a 6/8 or size 29 pants.
At about 105/107 I hit a size 0/2 size 26/27 (depending on brand).
Currently I am 102 (my lowest since High School) and I still have cellulite. Whoever said weighing under 110 gets rid of cellulite was dead wrong. That being said, I have tummy troubles and bloat easily so I don't really look 102.

I'm between 5'4 and 5'5", since it depends on who measures my height. I'm a little under 120 lbs now and was 130 lbs for years. I looked great when I was heavily active and wore a size 2 at 130 lbs. Then, I got lazy and still weighed the same, but started looking heavy and bought a few size 6 pants. I'm now a size 2 or 4 depending on the brand, 36/25/36 measurements. Your boobs may stay! There's hope. I'm a 36dd and have "curves" that are there even when I'm under 110 lbs. Ideally, I'd like to be just shy of 110 lbs again, but I would have to eat under 1200 and I'm not there yet.
Weight depends on the person. If you lift weights and are active, a higher weight might look perfect. I was under 110 lbs, started working out hard, looked great at 130 lbs in the best shape of my life. That was when I looked like a bodybuilder. Now, a lot of that muscle is gone and I need to be at a lower weight to look the same (I still look bigger at 120 lbs than I did at 130 lbs while lifting heavy)
Hi, newbie here. I'm 5'4.5" and due to having fibromyalgia, have very little muscle so aiming near the lower end of the healthy bmi chart.
Currently 122 lbs (down from 142 when I started in September 2015) and that's probably a pretty healthy weight, except that my belly is currently 34" (was 36" when I started). To not be at risk of diabetes it apparently needs to be less than 32" so I'm going to keep going until that happens. No idea what that weight will be as the reduction in my waistline has been painfully slow compared to the loss everywhere else!
Hello. I, too, am a newbie. I am 5'4" and my perfect weight is 117-120 lbs. I currently weigh 147.3 and am dealing with severe water retention. I gained 15 lbs in a week. My face, hands, abdomen and feet are swollen. Hypothyroidism and PMDD are a pain in the patootie. I can still fit into my European size 28 (US size 6-8) jeans from H&M. At my ideal weight, I wear a European size 25-26.
Hi, I agree with much that's been previously stated. I am a firm believer that your frame size and muscle mass determines what is the healthiest weight. When I graduated high school in the 80s, I was 95 pounds at 5'3.5" but looked healthy. I was very physically active but not athletic. I married two years later at 105 pounds and looked much better. I have a small frame, first wedding ring was a size 4. Now at 139 lbs, I look a little chubby with belly, back, and arm fat. My boobs look bigger though because the surrounding fat is gone!
I'm happy if I stay between 119-125 but I do have a very slight build, but at the age of 52, It's difficult to get under that. My body looks fabulous at 118, but my face looks healthier and more youthful when I'm nearer to 125.
I'm 5ft 5 and 9 stone 7 (fluctuating between 9 stone 7 to 9 stone 9 for past week or so due to birthday binging! oop) and have reached a point in my weight loss where I feel good about my body again.
Before I gained over 3 stone around a year ago, I weighed 8 stone exactly for many years which many people thought was way too low for me but I just thought was normal because I'd been that for so long. I used to dream about having bigger boobs and now they're 32D which I could only dream of in the past (I had been 32b forever)! It's crazy that I finally have them naturally, so yes, I currently see myself as slim-ish but with boobs and butt at 9 stone 7.
I'd still like to lose a bit more though, or at least get in better shape for the summer. I'd love to wear shorts this year and not worry about cellulite or jiggle as much!
I'm 5'4.5, my goal weight is 110. My ideal range is 110-115. I know that will go up as I get older, might want to take on a few lbs once I hit 35. In my profile picture I am close to 115 lbs. I can see why some people might not like being that thin, but I felt pretty hot. Also I have a small frame...I wear a size 3 shoe in kids lol.

I'm 5 foot 5 and I think at 133 I looked really good, but I carry a lot of weight in my butt and hips which i don't mind it there so much, haha. I'm not aiming for a flat/toned stomach, just gotta lose the extra pounds that have crept up on me over the last few years. I think it really depends on your body type and what your goals are- if you are looking for toned or just if you want to be at a healthier weight than you currently are. And where you feel more comfortable- different people look great in 130's and others feel more comfortable lower.
What an interesting thread! I know it's been quiet for some time, but I just got here so . I'm my most healthy at < or = 120. Really, truly, 115-117 but at my age I don't think I'll ever see that again. Underneath I actually have a pretty slight frame. I carry tons of weight in my boobs & otherwise it distributes pretty evenly all over. This last time I gained, I saw more weight concentrate in my midsection than ever before. That is concerning. In the 150s I'm in size 12/14 bottoms & XL tops & look dumpy & short no matter how nice or sloppy my clothes. In the 120s I'm usually in 6/8 bottoms & M tops & look put together & average height no matter how nice or sloppy my clothes. It's fascinating to see it happen. If I get overwhelmed by some other facet of life, my family's health or finances or a major change of some sort...I tend to self-soothe with junky, easy food & too much of it. When the event has passed I'm able to re-focus on what I know is best for me. It's discouraging that I struggle to stay the course during those types of events.

Reason: clarity
Hi all. I'm new here so I'm just wandering around at the moment looking for some informative and helpful threads. I joined because I want to lose about 30 pounds. I'm 5'4" and currently weigh 155. 125 is my goal weight as that is the weight I was for much of my life and I felt great. Then age, menopause and most recently a couple of years into retirement and the pounds packed on. The weight gain is of my own doing and I'm well aware of it but now I'd like a little support, information and a place where I can keep track of what will hopefully be a weight loss. So I think a "good" weight is where you can do your best for yourself and your health.
