Last Friday, I said no to pizza. We went bowling for professional development (where just us officers can hang out), and the bowling alley was serving free sandwiches (the philly cheesesteak variety) and free pizza. I am a firm believer Imos's pizza is almost as good as sex. I managed to say no even though they bought out 4 free pizzas per lane and then kept refilling the tray when they were empty. I drank about 6 glasses of water over 2 hours just trying to stay full. Thank God my commander ate alot of pizza!!

Today I said to all the easy temptations of a mall - was stuck there for hours and didn't have anything to eat before. Went for my on-the-road standard: Subway Veggie Delight on whole wheat; all the veggies (subbing spinach for the useless iceberg lettuce) and only mustard for a condiment. My mother said that was so *boring* but I stuck to my plan. If I'm going to blow my calories, I'm going to hold out for something better than the food court of a mall!!

Had coffee with friends in a place that serves the best cinnamon rolls in the world. But they are enormous. My guess is 850-1000 calories AT LEAST. I was also starving. I had a large soy latte which is good protein and not a bad mid morning snack especially given my run this morning.

The sad part was my friend estimating the roll was "about 10 points" No way.

God I am ravenous today.

MTA: Lordy, I just looked up a classic Cinnabon and that is 750 calories so I think these were closer to 1500 calories.

The good and the bad: I said NO to my second rep on the bike... eh. that's 15 min I prob could have used... but don't want to.

I said NO to a Reeses cup package calling my name while I was cleaning earlier. I said NO to the ice cream in the freezer, and that wasn't hard today!

That's not the kind of no we're talking about here ...

Today is a smooth day...

I had to say no to another serving or wild rice... I love wild rice, I could eat the whole pot... I kept it to 3/4 cup...

I had to go into Manhattan today. I must have walked by 100 pizzerias, bakeries, and Chinese take-outs. I said no to all of them, and stuck with the cheese sticks and walnuts in my purse. I had a good number on the scale this morning and do NOT want to screw this up!

I said no a teeny bit does that count?

Took the kids out to the pizza place for lunch today. When I lost all my weight I went there once a week, but I havent been there since summer. Clearly I need to eat more pizza. ANyway I like this place because it is by the slice. Although the slices ARE big.

Ordered a cheese for dd, a hawaiian for ds and an extreme veggie for me.

Took the kids to the potty and came out to find a cheese, a hawaiian and TWO veggie slices. The very tip of my slice slid off when they were bringing it to the table so they brought me another slice. !!!! ds scalped it of all of its olives and I ate a bit of the crust. Which kind of balances because I usually eat ds' crust and did not. I was starving from my run so I TOTALLY could have eaten both slices. Especially since the kids were eating sooooooooo slooooooowly.

i had a very frustrating day - spent over 3 hours stuck in a traffic on a precious Saturday. I tried to wait until I got home to go to the bathroom, but couldn't. I went into a Wendy's and just used the bathroom - didn't get any food, even though i was hungry and stressed and have been CRAVING fries all week.

Came home and ate salmon and salad instead.

OK this is pretty weak but I said no to red wine which I prefer and had white instead because I know it will affect my workout less tomorrow.

I said "no" at about 11:00 am, when my husband called home (he was out running an errand) and invited me to meet him for brunch. I'd already had breakfast, I wasn't hungry, and I certainly didn't need to eat a redundant meal.

Of course, I did regret having to turn down my husband's invitation!
