Ugh. Failed experiment today. I tried to go to the gym after dinner, instead of before lunch. Totally didn't work. As it turns out, doing cardio after eating a giant bowl of home made pho (incredibly delicious and surprisingly low in calories) is impossible. I just couldn't do it.

So, my poor showing for today:
Worked my arms.
15 minutes elliptical.
5 minutes treadmill (before admitting defeat).

Tomorrow I will work my legs and back, and do 45 minutes elliptical. And then I'll go and wait tables in the evening.

Baffled - PM me your pho recipe? I'm addicted but always go out for it...

And its so filling - no wonder you couldn't do your cardio after.

Hi there! I’ve been getting motivation walking, and then logging my minutes on the Lime Walk Out. I’ve been logging the time I spend walking & it’s certainly a great reminder of how small steps all add up to a healthier and greener lifestyle. You find out how all kinds of great info about calories, steps taken, how you're helping the env, all just by logging your minutes! They're working towards getting us to be healthier & greener by walking and help us reach our collective goal of 24,900 miles--the equivalent to an entire lap around the earth!

Its on http://www.lime.com/walkout
They also have food and health articles, and a meditation rooms that was pretty fun!

Hi Austingirl! Welcome to our little corner.

I am taking accountability for the fact that my sole exercise today involved carrying, assemblying, packing, and tying 75 individual lucky bamboo favors. oy.

No formal exercise for me today. My mum is coming for a 5-day visit so I've spent several hours cleaning the house, and I took my dog on a nice 45 minute hike.

A question for those of you who do weights--The hip adductor is *killing* my inner thigh muscles. I've been doing tons of stretching, and yesterday I dropped the weight from 50 to 35 pounds to give myself a break, but my inner thigh muscles are still really sore and tight. It's uncomfortable to walk! What am I missing??? This is only two days of working my legs--should I expect the discomfort to diminish over time?

Cheers!

Baffled - how many reps can you do on the machine before your muscles give out? I don't do the abductor/adductor machines because my trainer said they don't do much, and this depends on your goals, but my trainer advised that the weight is too high if you can't do 10 reps for 2-3 sets...some of the other people on here do different programs with lower/higher numbers of reps...

Stupid gym closed when I was in the middle of my workout...holiday weekend, but I was unaware. Got in 35 min on the elliptical before they kicked us out.
