Thanks Diana! I really do need to ease into the new stuff and quit trying to hurt myself. I'm still sore from that first 25 minutes of Yoga I attempted back on 11/30. I've always been pretty flexible even though I've been overweight all my life and then obese in my adult years. Now that I'm older, I hold more weight in my stomach and my joints have worn out...not so flexible anymore, I guess. Sucks to get old, but better than the alternative, eh!
Hum, I wonder if you should still hurt from the 30th and hoping you did not injure something. Some yoga tapes are dangerous with head/neck stands or over extentions. I'm a senior as well and hurt after doing things also, but after one or two days am generally fine. That weight all in the tummy is a pickle too. I must need to practice more unconditional love on myself.
I'll share my favorite stretch and flexibility CD with you. "Total Stretch for beginners" by Tamilee. No pain, only gain.

I have not worked out on a regular basis in a couple of years. I feel so much better after working out so I am not sure why I put it off so much. I am determined to get back to living a healthy lifestyle by eating better and moving more. My goal is 500 minutes of cardio exercise for the month of December. Good luck to everyone!
I just bought a gym membership on Nov 30 so this thread seems appropriate. My goal is 30 min cardio 5x week. Weekends are just bonus since I can not guarantee having the time available.

All this cardio is working!!! Hard work pays off!!!
My left foot has mild plantar fasciitis, so I can't run fast like I used to. I am taking it slow. I will probably do something about it after I reach goal. For now it's ok.
Thanks for letting me know of the error, workinglikeadog! I sometimes don't catch those until the end of the month -- much better to fix them in the beginning.
