March seems to have flown by, and I can't believe we're at April already! The weather is warming (ok, some days!) and it's a great time to set goals, make them happen, and put ourselves on the path to being slimmer for summer! This monthly challenge has seen some awesome successes and has provided motivation for many of us to just stay on track and keep our long-term goals in sight, and I can't wait to see how everyone does this month!
The rules of our challenge are simple. We are here to provide each other some accountability along the path to weight loss, so just set a weight loss related goal(s) and I'll add it to our goal list for the month of April. When you reach your goal for the month it will be turned RED in our goal list!
We will have a sister thread for exercise goals, April Exercise Challenge, and all your exercise-related goals can be posted there; this thread is for weight loss goals specifically.
We love to hear about your success as well as your challenges throughout the month, so please share them with us. We're here to support and encourage each other to be our best.
I won't be home tomorrow morning to weigh, so my starting weight this morning is 143.5 lbs and my goal is to get under 140 lbs this month. Not sure it's do-able at all with how things have been going lately, but there's definitely no harm in shooting for it!!
Count me in! I need to stay on plan, I've been on plan for 2 weeks and am not seeing any loss, I know that any day now I am gonna feel like 'nothing works' while I know I need patience. So I am joining this to stay on plan. All my goals for a certain weight are impossible to determine since I appearantly am losing a thousand times slower than when started this journey.
Obviously it would be great if I could lose like 5 to 10 lbs. But if I don't that's fine too. I started weight lifting this week so my body will be in a rut anyhow.
O0o can I join? I've been finding daily weighing disheartening and the 12 weeks to take off challenge just ended so I'm looking for a new one! Also excitingly I just broke through a plateau but now need the added motivation (and kick up the ***!!!) to keep going down. I considered joining the sarg's bootcamp thing but I'm more than a bit confused by it tbh and maybe a short term thing would be better for me like this! I'm not really sure how to lay this out. Do we weigh in weekly? What day? When you say there's a list chickadee where is that?
I'll go see if I can find the exercise thread cos I really want to up my exercise and REALLY need the accountability.
Anyway here we go: Current weight 31/03/12: 143.2
Goal weight for 01/05/12: 139.2
Yup I'm just going for 4lbs cos more than that (for me) is unrealistic I've found especially after this awful plateau plus anyway I can always up it when I hit it! Also I'll just be so excited to finally get beneath 140.

PaintedButterfly: You can weigh as frequently or infrequently as you choose - totally up to you! I will make a list that captures everyone's goals tomorrow or Monday and post it here. If the April Exercise Challenge thread isn't up yet, it will be later today or tomorrow! gardenerjoy runs the exercise challenge, so just look for the April thread from her.
philana: We're right about at the same spot, and the weight is coming off exceedingly slowly at this point for me too. It took me three weeks to see a loss recently, and I'd just be thrilled if I could lose a pound every week! Metabolic adaptation is what I'm chalking it up to these days (which means the past two days, lol, I have a different theory all the time!). Anyway, I'll be right there with you this month.
I'll check in with everyone else and make the goal list tomorrow or Monday, whenever I'm at a computer again!
I've just started my plan and I'm going to start running again, so I'm going to be a little ambitious and shoot for 2.5 pounds a week. My weight tracking day will be Monday, but I find that if I don't weigh daily I tend to go off track.

Total Goal: 12.5 pounds in April.
I tend to weigh every day too but I find just recording once a week is best for me so we sound similar . I think I'll do Monday's as weigh days too cos it's always good to do it with others I find and hopefully a few people will weigh in on the same day
chickadee:I am so impressed by what you achieved already! I can't even imagine having so much willpower! I don't know if there's any difference between our bodies at this point given that you come from a higher starting weight, but it's nice to see we are at the same place right now! I could use some support. I just looked over my journals and I've been battling these few lbs since january actually. I've not been on plan the entire time but I am pretty sure I've been onplan for atleast 6 weeks and when I was offplan I did not eat all thise onplan calories back. So I am a bit baffled by the slowness of this.
