  • For those who liked last month's challenge and want to do it again/join in.

Set a goal for the month of May on how many minutes you want to spend on your Wii workouts!

Log your workouts each day (what workout & how long) and at the end of the month we'll see how we did!

Also use the thread to discuss workouts, what you like and what you don't etc.

    Good luck.

(phrasing just plain stolen from vertigoskyy's May challenge )
  • Hey guys, hope it is OK that I'm starting the thread about to do some Wii now.

My plan is 30 mins 3 times a week.

    I pledge 360 mins

    Week 1: 1st-8th
    30/90
    Week 2: 9th-16th
    0/90
    Week 3: 17th-24th
    0/90
    Week 4: 25th-30th
    0/90

    Total:
    0/360
  • I'm in again! Last month's challenge really motivated me. I'm going to do 30 minutes at least 6 days a week. 20 minutes on the strength/yoga routine I have on the Wii Fit Plus and then at least 10 to get the heart rate up. So that's 780 for this month.
  • I'm not counting minutes, but last week I started the 30 day Wii Active Challenge - so my goal for the month is to complete that on schedule - so, at least 5 Wii Active workouts a week.
  • What sort of things are included in the Wii Active?

ETA: I've got 18:23 on my piggy bank. I sure hope it changes color when I hit 20 hours. I'm stupidly motivated by those color changes....
  • Yea, I think it changes to silver but let me know! xx
  • Quote: What sort of things are included in the Wii Active?
It's got a lot of different activities - sports: boxing, tennis, basketball, volley ball, dancing, jogging, inline skating

And then strength excercises like squats, lunges, upper body resistance band excercises. . .just a bunch of stuff.

All the activities are combined in different work outs - there are pre-programmed ones for various things (like upper body, lower body, sports, marathon training, etc) or you can set a routine of your own. It comes with a resistance band and a legstrap to hold the nunchuck (although the strap really should be bigger - I had to lose 60 lbs before it would fit - although I could usually get the excercise to work with the nunchuck in my pocket).

Anyhow, they have a 30 day challenge where they give you a series of workouts over 30 days - and you can pick if you want easy, medium, or hard. It's really a lot of fun.
  • I tried counting minutes last time and well so many things happened that it just didn't work out. So I think I want to change my strategy a little bit. Instead of counting minutes, I want to count workouts. I used to be great at doing 3 workouts a week. However, now I'm lucky to get 2 in. So I'm going to aim for my usual 3 Wii workouts a week. I do other Wii workouts but not on Wii Fit.

Goal is to get a little more in shape and then move to EA Active and do the 30 day challenge and complete it.
  • my goal is 1260 min for the month. starting tomorrow
  • 30 minutes on Active this morning!
  • 61/1260
  • I missed Wednesday and Thursday due to a crisis at work (and especially on Wednesday I really missed doing my Wii time; by Thursday I was too pooped to miss much of anything...). So now I'm at work on my regular shift and I managed 41 minutes including my now slightly lengthened strength and yoga routine but it was a pretty pathetic work-out that's for sure. The "instructor" kept commenting on how shakey I was. I was tempted to quit part way through but I didn't! And I even tried a couple new things.
  • I'm still wicked tired tonight but I did 56 minutes and my piggy turned silver!!!
  • Ok, I would love to join the Wii challenge!

I'm going to work towards completing 1000 mins of exercise by the end of the month. Time to get moving!
  • Can I join?

I would love to do this!

My goal is 100 min a week.

I try and do 20 min every other day, but will gear up for a little more!

    Total for month, 400 min!

    1 - 20
    2 - 0
    3 - 27
    4 - 0
    5 - 25
Weekly total = 72 (close, but only 5 days

    6 - 25
