Hey everyone! I hope you've all had a great Monday!

And, Iconised Ghost, hope you're having a great Tuesday! (It's funny, I got to holiday in NZ 6 years ago and I have never changed the time and date on the travel alarm clock I used...I keep it on my desk to remind me of my awesome trip. I only had a brief visit in Auckland, got to do the Rangitoto island hike though, great stuff!)

My Monday has been fantastic! I baked a birthday cake for someone at work today, and I only had the very tiniest of a sliver of cake (2 small bites really) and was able to resist anymore. Not to toot my own horn, but I make a darn good cake, LOL. They are very hard to resist!

I was totally craving something fried around lunch time, so instead of eating my homemade soup I had brought, I walked to the grocery store and grabbed a Lean Cuisine Chicken and Artichoke Panini (actually, I grabbed 10 different Lean Cuisines to keep in the freezer for such cravings since they were on sale...some pasta ones, some Mexican ones, some pizza ones, and some Chinese ones). It totally satisfied that fried craving (and kudos to whoever I saw suggest these to feed unhealthy cravings).

When I got home, I shoveled snow for a good hour, so my GoWear Fit is reporting a total of 1 1/2 hours of moderate activity today and almost 9000 steps!

Sis, I am so excited for this. I just went to the gym and upped my membership, which will now include tanning and the massage chair for free. I needed another reason to go to the gym and I found it. So off I go!

Miss you guys
Oh my...well a message chair would do it for me too! LOL!!!! Glad you're back! Now Where's our Dr. Echo???? LOL!

{{{{{{{{Dixie}}}}}}}}}}}} I am soooooooo happy to see you. Happy you are getting better and most importantly, pain free! This is awesome! I had a similar issue back in 06 and my docs were negligent, I got a BAD staph infection and I almost died. What was supposed to be a day procedure and then home to my comfy bed was a month long ordeal and hospital stay. It sucked. But anyhooo. I was also sad and disappointed that you disappeared and lost interest in the challenge and almost didn't come back, but I totally understand now and I am sorry if anything I said hurt you. I MISS you being our fearless leader. (((HUGGLES))))) Stick around girly!!!!Maybe something can be worked out for you to come back!

I saw this great quote and thought I would share it with the Blue Team...

"Clear your mind of can't." Really made me think.

Hope all had a great day!

haha i loved going up rangitoto the first time too, but schools here tend to have it as a school trip, plus with relatives coming over and showing them it too, I had done it around 5-7 times and swore never again

congrats on the cake and 9000 steps!

Mercy - Ok, I'm finally back from all the holiday craziness!

Dixied - Wow, you did have a rough few months. I'm glad to hear they've got you on the mend now though. I can't even imagine all you've dealt with in the last several months.

To all of you fine women , lets rock this challenge!!! I've been a slacker to say the least since November, and though I have maintained (still in the mid 160's), even through an Italian holiday season, I'm ready to get back on the horse and get this weigh off for good!!! So tomorrow is a new day. I went to the store today, got some healthy goodies and I'll be logging it all in to my Fitday starting tomorrow. I have no excuses anymore. I am the only one that can change things.

It's hard to push myself sometimes because I am very comfortable at this weight. But I know better things are ahead if I push myself to get there. I made a promise to my step daughters that I would take them to the beach more this summer, we live literally 5 minutes to the ocean, and I went once last summer. Once. I was too embarrassed to be in a swim suit. This year, I WILL wear a bikini and I will look hot! I never promise them things, so there is no backing out of this one. I have to do it.

So, all that said, here's to a great challenge and even better, here's to getting to know all of you new friends, and more cheering on of the returning ladies.

Wow, Dixied, so sorry to hear all that. That sucks! So glad its all over for you now but more sad to hear you hadda go thru all that. Please don't apologize. You know I had to go too because of work and our business growing all the sudden and I felt bad too. But we are both gonna be around for this one!!

So glad to have you back!!!

Selina

Oh, hi to everyone! Been gone the entire day today, it's after midnite and I'm working on work and can't wait to go to bed. Will try to write tomorrow. Was OP today! Yay!!! Gotta try to get exercise in soon. May not be able to keep up with the log thingy because I'm lucky to post on this thread once a day or so but I will post here when I do find some time to do extra stuff!

Nite!!

Good morning Ladies! I hope everyone had a good night sleep.

Dixied - I am so sorry to hear of the pain you endured... You are a true testament of a strong woman.

mageorge -
LOVE that quote.. thank you for sharing that with us!!!

Mary - if you are still having troubles getting your sig. badge into your sig. I had posted how I was able to do mine in the last chat thread.. I hope it helps! If not let me know!

I am kind of in a rush this morning as I have to be on the road early as I finally am having my appointment with a gastrointestinal specialist today, which is two hours away. My doctor here has been testing me for celiacs disease as I appear to have adverse reactions to anything with gluten... Hopefully I will have a few more answers today...

I will be back this evening to check in! Have a great Day Everyone!! May God Bless us all with the strength and courage to stay true to our goals to become healthy woman!

Morning!! Had a great day yesterday. Worked out for the first time in about 1 1/2 months. Feeling a little sore this morning but in a good way. Food was good yesterday, I did end up changing up my menu a bit never got to making the cheesecake bites will try again tomorrow on that front. Today is my b-day so we are having dinner here with the kids. I modified my menu for the day. I will only have a sliver of cake.

Dix-So glad you are back. Sorry to hear about your health issues but very happy you are doing fine now. I missed you while you were gone.

Retired-love your pic!

Have a great one!!!

I can relate to you more than you thinkUs Italians, we eat during the holidays, no getting around it. My family has been very supportive of my efforts and my sister from San Francisco was in town and she has lost over 70 pounds in the last year, but even with support, I managed to put on 5 pounds, and like you, I think I have gotten very comfortable at 139 to 140 ish.

So, lets bring it up a notch! I am going to start a DARE CHALLENGE today, hope you me and Diva!

Well my menu was spot on yesterday for my type of eating. Exercise~ so so. I just can't quit coughing once I take a deep breath! I did do enough on the wave my buns, hips and abs feel it though. I'm going to just try a 30 min walk on the treadmill and see if I can contain the coughing. Gosh it's been about 10 days since I got that darn flu and cant believe I still feel yuck!

Speaking of the wave~ I love that thing. I cant believe how much it hits the lower abs!Right where I need it.

Dixie~ wow I am sure glad you are on the mend. That sounds like quite an ordeal. Hugs

Angela ~ good luck at your appt!

I can't remember who mentioned as challenges run over time about people dropping off. I don't mean dropping off for major medical or personal reasons just giving up on getting healthier. I'm new here but did try challenges elsewhere. I am so guilty of just dropping of the challenge if I fall off plan and go binging. So I want to make it a goal right in front of all you lovely ladies to stay the course. If I fall of plan I vow to come be 100% honest and tell you I am floundering. I'll do the same in by blog.

I hope everyuone has a fabulous day!

Angela - Celiac's is not as scary as you think. My DH, MIL, SIL, SD, and GrandMIL all have it, and we suspect I do too. We just found out last May. I have researched it to death and can give you a million and one bits of knowledge. You just let me know and I'll provide you with more info than you can imagine. Once you figure out what is ailing you, you will feel a bazillion times better. Plus, if you do have it, it makes you eat cleaner, more whole foods, fruits, veggies, lean meats, etc. I could go on forever. Just PM me
