12-15-2004, 09:54 PM
Oh my goodness haven't we been busy ladies just posting away. Geez, so overwhelming trying to catch up. I will do my best...
Marti~CONGRAT'S on the new car!! It is gorgeous! Nothing like having your booty warmed up eh! Have you used that yet? It is nice and looks so big next to you. I was going to say yesterday that if all the oil drained out of the car you may have to replace the ngine but was trying to think positive for ya. A car with no oil is no good! Too, I would check into the place who changed the oil and having them fix it considering they put the plug in or did they? I know you said they said the plug wasn't the right one but would be fine till the next oil change but did they take the plug out that was in and replace it with a different one? If that is the case then they should be held liable. Anyway...enjoy your new car! I had V take a pic of mine when I got it, well after about a month but didn't like the pic of me so never posted it.
Jane~you are too kind but thank you so much for the light. I will be on the look out for it! :thanks: glad you have a nice time with Mary and with your DS & their hubby's. I really miss getting together with my sisters, heck my brothers and their families too!
Ellen~CONGRAT'S on the weight loss! :bravo: About moving...we do plan on moving but not for about ten or so years. I have no intentions of moving any sooner than that if then. We just bought this house this past Feb. and are getting it the way we want it so no way are we moving soon. Hope Kobie is doing a little better. The kitty pic is sooooo cute! I would love to have a kitty but DS#1 is allergic to cats bad. So no kitty until he moves out.
Susan~you are not mean! And like someone said if they are saying you are mean I would quit frequenting those sites. And loved what Rocky wrote! What a sweetheart! Hope you get to feeling better sweetie. (((((HUGS)))))
Julie~sending good vibes for all the doc visits and hoping you get some answers soon. :goodvibes: :lucky: I too have been watching Christmas movies every night for about a week now, of course the weekend was even more. Last night I watched Carroll's Christmas, I liked that one.
Katy~WTG on standing up for your rights. Don't like the skinheads-scary!
Katie~sending goodvibes for Mike to get his license. :goodvibes: :crossed: :lucky: I will PM you my address-yeah we did close the PO Box last month so if anyone sends anything there it will be returned. We didn't leave a forwarding address because all that went there was junk.
Hope I didn't miss anyone and Hi to everyone else
Well, today was Wal-Mart Wednesday, UGH! Didn't get there early enough to beat the crowds. It being so close to Christmas more people are out and about. Also, didn't get the game at Target yesterday and didn't see it at Wal-Mart but did find another called Fact or Crap. The name cracks me up-it's a question game and you have to decide if the question asked is a fact or pure crap. Still want to get the Scene It one-maybe later. Let's see what else...oh...our couch came in but not the chair. Not sure how they ship things but wouldn't you think if someone had an order for furniture it would all be shipped together at the same time? Well, the chair is supposed to be here tomorrow, supposed to be being the key words...other than that not much going on. Trying to catch up on laundry. Headache is still hanging around but not as bad as it was when I woke up-the reason for my late start this morning. Really need to quit staying up so late and falling asleep with the tv on and that second pillow under my head.
Take care ladies and have a good night. See ya tomorrow
12-16-2004, 12:20 AM
Hello everyoneÖ..how are you all doing?
Letís see hereÖ..not really much new on this end. Brandon is getting better with each passing day. Last night he went to bed at about 1:30am, and woke up at 2:30am just screaming his head off. I tried giving him his pacifier, that didnít work. I turned on his vaporizer, that helped a little but then he started blood curdling screaming again. I picked him up and walked into the hallway with him and he went back to sleep. So I donít know if he had a bad dream or not.
Cristi~ That is just too crazy about them closing down the shops and the schools. The only time I hear about schools being closed here in MI, is for weather purposes or break ins. Everything that we read online about croup, told us that he would have had a cold or the flu before getting croup. It seems to be that he is getting the cold after having croup.
Ellen~ I canít help but poop, I mean pop in. In fact I have to run and get Brandon in his pajamas and see if he wants any solids, other wise it is a bottle and off to bed. Thursday it is time for Christmas shopping! And I have to admit, we put Brandon in a facing forward car seat now. The only reason we put him in it is because with him being sick, we wanted to be able to see him. And plus he gets sad when he canít see either me or Tommy, and since he is just now getting his cry back, we didnít want him to have any setbacks. I have to admit, I am a sucker for facial hair. Tim does not look anything like he normally does. With the facial hair, it made his face look slimmer, without it, his face looked a little chubby.
Julie~ Awesome news on the appointment to talk with the PCP. If you have any more questions, or you just want to chit chat, feel free to email me.
Marti~ Thanks for the info on the blood color, I will have to remember that. Yikes! That sounded like how I felt this past weekend. It seems now, that he has what has been going around as well. Two of our nieces have runny noses and goopy eyes, and Brandon woke up Wednesday morning with a goopy eye. So when it rains, it pours! As for the pedialyte, he has been drinking some since Monday. He doesnít really like it now, he would much rather prefer a bottle of formula. So I think it is safe to say that he is better from the croup.
Angie~ Thanks for the information about fevers. He only had them when he had the croup. The highest it got was 100.0 degrees (F). His head and his hand got really hot when he had the croup, but now they are fine.
Jane~ Brandon is doing better today. He is still kind of tired. In fact he has been sleeping since we got home, about 10:30ish. So I am going to go and get him in his pajamas and see if he is hungry. Since he was sick, I have been letting him tell me when he is hungry, as oppose to before when I was feeding him every 4 hours like clock work. But I might feed him every four hours to get him and keep him hydrated. Although he has been drinking and eating so much these past days, I donít have any concern with him getting dehydrated.
Ellen~ Brandon is getting better with each passing day. He still has his cough, but that we can handle. (no more barking seals!) I had Christmas music playing the other day, and he would fall asleep until I put country music on! We are getting so excited to see his face. He has already tried crawling under the tree to open some presents. Yup Tommy did get his license back. (hence, another reason why I havenít been on here.)
Katie~ I have gotten little sleep in the past couple of days, but it is all worth it when get shows signs each day of getting better! I had to laugh when you said your 18 year old told you it was late and you needed to head to bed.
Kate~ Brandon is doing better. In fact he just woke up, but I think daddy is going to take care of him for a couple minutes so I can finish posting. Not happening on that one, daddy just brought him in to me.
Marti~ Congrats on the new car! Oh my goodness!!! It is so awesome looking! I love that color!
12-16-2004, 07:11 AM
Ellen - love the Mickey Mouse!!!!!! Wish I was going back soon to visit him, boo hoo.
Cristi - we have the game, Fact or Crap. Mary bought it for us last Christmas, and it's fun. Sometimes it's hard to tell which is fact and which is, indeed, crap, lol. You should get your package tomorrow or Saturday. I'm going grocery shopping at Walmart today and don't mind the crowds unless people are rude. I can't take rude people.
Julie - good luck with all the testing you guys are going through! That has to be nerve-wracking! I thought they already tested your uterus?
Mindee - glad you're keeping that little guy hydrated. Being a mama is a full-time job, isn't it? The benefits are great, though - those smiles and hugs are priceless!
Angie my dear, where are you?
Hello to Katy, Marti, Katiecat, Kathy, Susan, Sue, and everyone else reading this.
Well, as I mentioned to Cristi, I'm going shopping today and I do believe I'll invite one of the twins. It's Makenzie's turn to go.... or is it Madison's?? Oh well, Mary will know.
I'm fixing Italian chicken and potatoes today in the crock pot. Just quarter several potatoes and place them in the bottom of the pot, add 1/3 cup water, layer some chicken breasts on top of the potatoes and drizzle ff Italian dressing on top. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours. Mmmmmm Very good, and healthy, too.
Have a good Thursday, and I'll see you later.
12-16-2004, 07:26 AM
Good morning ladies.....
I worked an extra hour today so I'm coming home late. Brought a picture up on the internet at work on the computer next to me to remind me why I'm working extra!! :D
Ellen--No you didn't offend me.....you can tell me I'm cute!! I was just saying you're silly because I truly don't see me that way at all. Didn't you girls see that belly bulging?? I tried to lean a bit to hide it. :D
Jane--Thank you for the compliment. All you girls have just made my day. Now...if only I can work on shrinking my forehead!! What I see is a huge target! I really need to tone up my muscles again....when they're not toned I feel huge! Anyways, I camoflauge myself well.
Cristi--The people who changed our oil....took out our old plug saying it was stripped and it needed to be exchanged...and that's why they put another one in even though it wasn't for the make of the car. So I know that they're reliable. James talked to the manager and told them that he's getting an unbiased opinion (is that what I want to say??) from another mechanic before he brings it over to them to fix the problem. And the manager said that if it was their problem (which it is) they WILL fix it. So I'm hoping.
Mindee--Hope little one is feeling better soon. It's hard being a baby and not being able to say what hurts and what he needs. Hugs sent to him from Auntie Marti!
Well, I'm getting very tired so I better get to bed.
I will come back in the morning. (my morning!) :)
12-16-2004, 01:56 PM
Here is the update on our Toyota......
The shop we took the car to, to have it looked at and verify that it was the plug called us this morning and said "yes...it's the plug" they said there was a puddle right under the plug area before they checked it, then they put more oil in to see and it just leaked right out. They tried tightening it and it still leaked.
So...James called the Toyota place and guess what? They don't remember telling me that they changed the plug to my car! (it's only been two weeks) so I'm sensing that we are going to have some problems!! James called his friend who looked at it and said that it doesn't matter if they didn't document it on our receipt, they are still reliable because they were the last ones to change our oil, and that is part of the process....making sure everything is ok to go.
Frustrating that these people who have been really good to us w/all our car oil changes and anything else that we've needed done to the car are now saying that they don't remember!
I wish I had them verify it when I paid the bill when I got the change and made them write it down, but I didn't. (being the girl that I am and having trust in these people---also being mechanically challenged!)
The shop that has our car at the moment, James' friend, said to just call him if they cause any problems because he'll help us.
What is going on in this world when people can't admit THEY messed up?! (I know that they're thinking that it's a lot of money.....and they're right!) but we shouldn't have to foot the bill for their mistakes.
Anyway....had to share that.
Where is everyone this morning???

Thank you for such a warm welcome! I am looking forward to joining your family, if you all don't mind one more member! I have read some of the posts and this seems like the place where I would like to be. :)

Thank you so much! Wow...I feel like i'm "home" already. I'm anxious to learn more about you all. Not much to me..well that's not true. I have about forty extra that needs to go somewhere besides my behind. I have a puppy and a husband in the same house and a 24 y.o. son that lives in New York. Other than that, I'm pretty bland...until I get to know you all ;)
12-16-2004, 04:09 PM
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/extra%20pictures/footprintsinyouheart.jpgHi Ann just one thing, watch out for Ellen she's nuttier than a fruitcake, but don't tell anyone I told you its out little secret OK
12-16-2004, 04:12 PM
Marti: What a beauty!!! I love it.....
UPDATE!!!! Well I went for my test yesterday and I'll get my results tuesday, but as far as the baby issue goes...they basically said there is nothing more they can do for DBF!!!! So they ref'd me to a fertility specialist to tell me what options I have!!!! Basically they doc said... How badly do you want a child? And what extent would you go to??? He got into donor sperm?? Which I have a bit of a problem with.DBF says that he would agree to that because at least the child would come from me and it would be ours, but It would also be hard for me, knowing its someone elses!!!! So I have to go January 5th to have a full checkup with this new doctor.....they dont know if DBF even has enough of a sperm count that they would be able to do something like in vitro....So the glitch now is that my health insurance will only cover fertility testing if Im married!!!! So Im waiting til the 1st appt to see what they say before I make any decisions on where to go from here?? I know it will all take a long time no matter what I do, but its just all overwhelming...so needless to say I was very upset and still am over this.....
JANE: I did go to have the uterine test once already, but now they are checking to see if the cyst has gotten any better.
MINDEE: I did get your email, you havent been forgotten...Im just waiting til I have some time to really sit down and let you get the full story here...so bare with me,,I will get back to you!!!
Hello to all the other girls, Katy, Angie, Cristi, Sue, Susan, KatieKat and anyone else I may have forgotten
12-16-2004, 04:18 PM
Ann~a big WELCOME to you! Look forward to getting to know you. You will love it here, the ladies are GREAT!
Marti~hope you are enjoying that new car! Hey, I think whether it was documented or not they are the ones who checked the oil last and if the plug was stripped that is their fault and they are liable and I definitely would fight them over it especially if you have to get a new engine. Regardless of what has to be done with the car they should fix it. Of course now that you have taken it somewhere else they could come back and say they stripped the plug. But it is definitely worth fighting them over.
Mindee~glad to hear Brandon is feeling better. It is crazy about the shops and school but better to close it than the whole town spread it around to everyone. I know last year they were asking the Catholic Churches to not do Eucharist because there were so many with the flu and if you have ever been to a Catholic Church they touch a lot and drink the wine from the same cup etc. I know if someone sneezes in their hand I won't shake it when we welcome each other or wish them Peace. I will just nod. And I won't touch anyone if I have sneezed even into a kleenex. Too many germs going around.
Jane~hope you had a pleasing time at Wally World. It wasn't so bad when I went yesterday, when I got there, but when I was leaving the parking lot was getting full. I don't like the crowds. I saw some of the questions on the Fact or Crap game and it seems interesting. I asked DD them and she guessed and then we sat and pondered them-who would have thunk it? The ones you think are crap are fact! Anyway, nothing at all with learning too! My fav game is Scrabble. Oh I got the light today! That was fast! And THANK YOU so much! I love it! :thanks: I will have to try it out some time soon. Your chicken dinner sounds so gooooood! :T About how many potatoes do you use for you guys? Trying to guess as to how many I would need for 4 or 5 people. Do you use the big potatoes or small or med. sized? Anyway...I think I will try it tomorrow since we will be having chicken.
Okay ladies gotta love a good snowball fight! Aren't these so cute?! :snf: :snf:
Anyway...had some errands to run this morning. Ran to the PO real quick, luckily they weren't too busy. Then DS and I were off on a mission. We were trying to find him some Adidas shoes, some that he liked. No luck with that so he settled for a couple of other things. I just had him to finish off with my shopping and he wanted shoes. I tried to talk him into some but they were not the Adidas shoes he saw and wants. So we hit about three shopping centers before having lunch. I am glad he found some stuff as I didn't cherish the thought of more shopping. Just need to get some certificates mailed to my mom and dad and cookies made for Ms. Wanda (next door neighbor). I know I said I didn't bake cookies and normally I don't but wanted to take a little something over to her since she is alone. I will do that tomorrow for sure. Let's see what else is going on with me. Oh we definitely will be painting again! Not liking the yellow walls with the couch-doesn't look so great. V will have almost two weeks off for Christmas and New Years so maybe do it then. He is going to pick up the chair today oh and I need to call the salvation Army to see if they will pick up the furniture we had in the basement along with some other things. :crossed: I feel like I haven't talked with you ladies in ages and now I feel like I am blabbing. :blah: :blah: :blah:
Hi to everyone else!
:sman: Take care everyone and I hope you are having a wonderful day :sman:
Edited...to say Hi to Julie, Ann & Ellen. I see you ladies sneaked in on me.
Julie~I know how bad you guys want to have a baby but would stepping back and waiting like a year be an option for you guys? I know how stressful trying to have a baby can be and it does make it worse. Maybe once you see the specialist and hear what he has to say you guys can take some time and think about your options. You are lucky that your insurance will pay for fertility issues if you are married, ours wouldn't pay a dime. I took some fertility drugs for a few months because of my age which I think is the reason I haven't conceived. Not that we are trying now-I am waaaaay to old now. But the drugs were expensive and didn't work and there is nothing wrong with either of us other than our age and it wasn't meant to be I suppose. We decided we didn't want to go thru spending thousands and thousands of dollars, not saying it is not worth it because it is. We just chose not to. We even looked into adoption. Can you believe that you can actually get loans to adopt??? Anyway...I wish you guys the best and hope it all works out for the best in the end. :crossed: :grouphug:

Hi Cristi and Susan and Sue Katie Julie and anyone else who is feeling under the weather or sad
I hope your feeling better today I thought this might cheer you up http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/extra%20pictures/p6162.gifJulie left me out , :( I'm going now :bb:
Hi Cristi
you sneaked in on me how are you today , I'm just puttering on here today here and there I will do idividuals tonight ,My Son's band has a show , so the house will be empty except for me ,I usually go but I have a headache and the loud music would surely not help. be back later
12-16-2004, 05:50 PM
Ellen--You are so silly! You're not a nut, you're a great joy to have on this forum. You bring humor and encouragement. And I love smiling everyday when I read your post!! :D
Ann--Glad to see you here! So easy to fit in here. As I said before, a wonderful group of women. After a few post, you'll feel right at home and we'll get to know all the secrets about Ann..... :)
Julie--Oh my, I will pray for you that everything turns out for you. What an ordeal you have to go through. As Cristi said, maybe a year of thinking it over and getting the stress level brought down will help??? I don't know, but I do think of you and DBF (does he have a name??) I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Cristi--The car situation is so very frustrating right now. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I hope they treat us good and do the right thing. The man who I dealt with KNOWS....(I know he knows because he has a studdering problem which he handles very well....but when we discuss this w/him....can't understand a word)......in that sense I feel bad for him. Wonder if he feels bad for us?
Well I went out and took a photo of the rose thats starting to bloom. Here it is:
Pretty isn't it? It's a strange rose. It blooms out yellow w/orange trim, then as it keeps blooming, it turns pink. Never seen roses change color like that.
Ok...I'll try and check back later.
12-16-2004, 06:34 PM
The rose bud is gorgeous I can olny imagine what it will look like in full bloom ,Hugs and Kisses to Grandma and thankyou for being so sweet.I told you she was a cutie inside and out.:)
Hi Julie
Cristi definitly has some very good points, I have never been in this situation but I have heard and read alot about it, I know I mentioned this before , and I know you are busy and I don't know if you read, but if you do there's a book I read called Mixed Blessings by Danielle Steel which deals with couples going through the exact same things as you ,Its a wonderful book to read , I was so moved by the pain, the experiences ,challenges and blessings in this story.I know your probably thinking its just a book, but it really does touch on the issues and problems you are presently facing, I just thought you might draw some encouragement from it and it may help you to have a chance to relax and take some of the stress away. Hope you are feeling better I know that this is very difficult ,but miracles come in different ways. ((HUGS))http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/extra%20pictures/CHDogSleigh.jpghI Susan
Where are you, I miss you muchly, how are you feeling better I hope ,who said you were mean ?? let me talk to them  ahhh your not mean , could'nt be , were you cheating on us with other chics, see what happens when you stray, if you stayed at home where you belong that would'nt happen
Is Gaby and the girls all excited about Christmas now that its getting so close ,I remember all the anticipation with my kids, if we could bottle that kind of excitement and happieness, .How's Rocky doing ? Hey did you leave without me ,should I unpack my hula skirt now. I hope your having a nice night ((HUGS TO YOU AND GABY))
I think you and I need medication for that poopin in problem :lol:So happy to hear Tommy got his licence and you are able to get around more easily. So Brandon has figured out those presents are for him already has he thats so cute, this will be the first of many wonderful Christmas's with the little sweetheart, and they only get better. I must say I like facial hair to ,but my daughter dosen't really except for maybe a little bit. Tim does look better with it , but you can't do much to ruin that face. I hope the little guy is feeling better give him Hugs and Kisses from Auntie Ellen:lol: Have a nice night Mindee
I think you must have a life outside of us  Your a busy busy gal, I bet Kathy and you are on a sleigh ride in the snow, I tried to get there with my sleigh but I was to pooped to continue on my journey so I went home. How is Brandon doing ,still going stir crazy ?? and is Tanner still a cutie give Hugs from Auntie Ellen:lol: Well I hope your having a wonderful night relaxing with Monte ...
I hope your doing better and things are improving family wise ,I am thinking good thoughts for you and keeping you in my prayers,Hopefully the sun is still warm and shining down on you.
I was wondering if you ran them Skinheads out of town  its unfortunate that things like that have to be dealt with at all. If there isn't enough trouble in the world without people creating more. Did you have a chance to get your Christmas tree yet, sorry your pictures didn't turn out but I know your home iis lovely.I hope your having a nice night.
Its too bad you have to paint your walls again , but I know sometimes the colors just don't work, boy do I know that. Are you happy with the couch ,it really does sound nice.I wish my loveseats were a solid nuetral shade, I may have then reupholstered someday if I win the lottery.Did you finally get all your shopping done, the stores are so busy aren't they. Well Ihope that headache is gone .,and tonight turn off that tv and go to sleep girly:rollpin:
Hi to Everyone else :wave:I hope that everyone is having a great night.
12-16-2004, 10:24 PM
Marti - did you say this is the same dealership you just bought your new car from? Geez, I hope not! Your rose was very pretty!
Ann - welcome! Let us know more about you...
Julie - you sure have a lot to think over, don't you.... the answers will come, though.
Cristi - wow, the package DID get there fast! I only mailed it Tuesday, after the lunch I went to w/Mary. When I fix potatoes in the crock pot, I fix 1 for Katie, 1 for me, and 2 for Neal. Usually small to medium size. How many you cook would depend on your family and their love for spuds. Sorry Vince has to re-paint. I'm dying to re-do something around here.... just don't know what, yet.
Ellen - what instrument does your son play?
Did anyone show up for chat tonight? Katie and I went to see Ocean's 12 on the spur of the moment this evening. The movie wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be, but it wasn't bad. I haven't read any reviews at all, but I am sorta disappointed with it. There were some good twists to the plot, and George Clooney sure is easy on the eyes, but it just...... lacked something.... not sure what.
Have a good evening, ladies, it almost 10:30 here, so I'm headed off to bed soon.
12-16-2004, 10:40 PM
Not sure if I will be here early in the morning or not, so I wanted to be sure and say:
He sings and plays guitar actually he can play drums to, but he spends all his free time writing music its been his passion since he was in his early teens,I listened on the phone for the last 30 minutes of them playing from my daughters cell phone thats gonna cost her ,My ears are buzzing  still loud even over the phone.
aaahhhh thankyou so much I almost forgot it was my birthday tomorrow ,but thankyou really((HUGS))

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPPPPYYY BIIIIRRRRTHDAY TO ELLENHAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
and many morebig hugs
On kind of late but was busy with rearranging the living room. Man what a job. The chair didn't look that big in the showroom! It is almos as big as a loveseat-both V and I can fit it in and am comfortable. :yikes:
Ellen~I must have passed on my headache to you-sorry! Hope you get to feeling better. Yeah, it's too bad V has to paint the walls! NOT! I look forward to the change even if it has only been almost a year of the yellow. I am thinking a shade of green will work wonders and last for quite a while. He really doesn't mind-anything to make me happy.
Jane~uh, yeah, that got here is record time I think considering the holiday mail and all. It cracks me up how a letter to Katy or Susan gets to them so fast and something local takes so long. I am ready for a change already to but am hoping that I will be able to keep the sunflower border-love it. And I won't be getting new valances soon as we paid too much for them to replace so soon. That and I really like the rich, deep colors. They have green in them so will work fine with the green paint whatever shade of green we decide on. Thanks for the heads up on the movie. I didn't care much for Oceans 11 but V may want to see this one, not sure.
Marti~I hope the guy stands up and admits what he told you-it is the right thing to do but we all know they don't always do the right thing. Afraid they may lose their job which would be kind of scary but...the rose is beautiful! How odd about the color but I bet it is beautiful when it fully blooms. Never heard of a rose changing colors like that but do know they have sooooo many varieties now days it gets confusing. Ours bloomed until after Thanksgiving when I finally cut them back. Alot of the buds froze but I never had roses that bloomed as mucha nd as long as these do.
Oh by the way ladies 3FC has their weight tracker thingys up now if anyone is interested in getting one. They are cute! I guess I am outta here till the morning. I'll go watch a little tv if I can stay awake and try out that new book light. :D Take care ladies and have a good night.
12-17-2004, 01:23 AM
hello ladies....sorry for the quick fly by.
things are going good here. Brandon still has his cough, but it is lingering around. I am hoping that he gets rid of it soon! we went and did our christmas shopping on Thursday, we got everyone except for one of my sisters. we have to go to a book store to get her present. she is really into photography and wants to learn more about it, so we are going to pick her up some books.
I actually have to cut this short and go finish wrapping the presents. Tommy thinks I'm a goof ball for wanting to wrap Brandon's presents.
Marti - Your car is fabulous - and you look fabulous standing next to it...hope it works out with your other car....
Jane - I didn't make it to chat last night - and I don't have a friskypants excuse ( at least not for last night!) I had to go to the grocery store and tool advantage of the chance to go without children. You know you're a SAHM when..... this is how I get my "ME" time, lol! I should brainstorm a whole list of these....
Cristi - some friends of ours painted their great room a lovely light green and it was such a good choice - it makes your room feel more in harmony with the outdoors, kind of brings the outside in. I painted our bathroom a soft green which I like. My mom doesn't - I think its too bold for her.... she's just not into putting color on her walls.
Ann - welcome to JL - looking forward to getting to know you
Mindee - glad Brandon is feeling better. It's not crazy to wrap his gifts. Need those photo ops after all ;)
Ellen - Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Ellen Happy Birthday to you! Have a great day and treat yourself to something really special!
Have great day everyone! Today I just hang out and hopefully get some housecleaning done. I will probably walk with my neighbor this a.m. as our weather has been good. My trees are gone! It feels kind of strange to not have them there, but I feel safer. I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but a neighbor's poplar snapped in two with the high winds over the weekend. The landlord got a notice this weekend that the trees ( there's a whole row of them in the yard) are too dangerous to the neighborhood and the city has ordered him to take them down. Another reason I am glad I did this when I did.....
12-17-2004, 09:40 AM
Happy Birthday Ellen!!
Good morning ladies.
I'll have to find time to play with all of the neat graphics.

Gotta zoom in and out today -- it's 8am, and I have to shower, go to the post office, the ATM, drop something off at the dr's office, and be at my desk at work at 10:45am. EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!!! :yikes:
Too much to do...too much to do...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLEN!!! :gift: :balloons: :hb:
At work we have a "holiday choir" that my friend Alison started. We sang at the kid's Christmas party last Saturday, we sang yesterday in our lobby, will sing this Saturday at a senior's apartment, and next week in the lobby and at a retirement luncheon. I sing alto, but have no ear for harmony so I just stand next to stronger altos and let them drag me along for the ride, heehee... :dizzy:
ACK! LOOK AT THE TIME!!! Gotta fly, ladies...hello to you all, and hope you have a great day...
12-17-2004, 11:12 AM
A lovely good morning to all you Jaded Ladies!
I will start with Ms Ellen first: :hb: :hat:  Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday Ms. Ellen...Happy Birthday to you! And many more...from channel four...and scooby do from channel two...(don't know if that's how that goes or if there is more! LOL) Have a GREAT day Ms. Ellen! :hat: :hb:
Katy~I agree with the green, something very calming it about it too,and I do enjoy the outdoors. Not to find the right shade. I am liking one called Caesar Salad...where do they come up with these names? Caesar Salad I can understand but some of the others are crazy. Glad you got those trees down. The last house we lived in had a bunch of old trees around the house and when we had thunderstorms it scared me. They were old and looked to be rotting and I was so afraid one of them would fall on the house. V had some branches fall into the bed of his truck after one storm-scary.
Ann~a very good morning to you. Hope you are having a nice day so far. Looking forward to hearing more from ya.
Mindee~of course it's not googy to wrap Brandons presents. I enjoyed watching the kids open theirs at that age even though the presents would be thrown aside and they would play with the paper or box. And like Katy said-perfect photo opportunity.
Angie~hope you find the time to post. We miss you around here girly.
Shanna~still waiting for you to check in. Hope school is easier for ya at this point. You should be on break at this time  or possibly next week??? We want to see you checking in girly, it's been a while.
Susan~did you ever get that BIG card from your sweetie pie Mr. Rocky? Hope things are better for you.
Jane~loving the light-the perfect amount of light to see without even having my little table lamp on. :thanks: again.
Marti~how are you liking driving your new car? It is a beauty! What does Jhanai think about it? Has she seen it yet?
Well ladies, not much going on with me today. Need to move my bookshelf and books down to the family room since we rearranged last night-no room for it. Oh well, once we finish the family room I will be down here most of the time anyway so...have to rearrange everything down here also and that will take a few days-not in a hurry for that. Anyway...going to clean the main floor and do a couple of loads of laundry and that is my day.
Hope every one has a fabulous day! Take care ladies
Edited:Aaaahhhh...Ellen and Katie you ladies were sneaking in there while I was writing this mini-novel...
Ellen~hope you day is grand! :hb:
Katie~the choir sounds lovely, wish I could hear you ladies sing. Have a great day!
I am loving these new smilies, aren't they the cutest?! :) :D :o
12-17-2004, 04:13 PM
where is everyone? I am surprised to see no one has posted since I was here last. :( Hope everyone is okay.
Anyway...just checking in for a sec to say THANK YOU to Katy & Marti for the beautiful Christmas cards I received today! And a special :thanks: Katy for the pic of the kiddos-they are so cute! Don't tell James that :sssh: he probably doesn't want to hear he is cute. Okay...so he is handsome! :) I do love all the different poses.
Had something else to say but it seems to have slipped my mind. Oh well...maybe it will come to me later.
Later ladies
Remembered...Ellen, could you PM me your address again please. I seem to have misplaced it. Ooops! Thought I wrote it down in my address book along with the others but it's not there.
12-17-2004, 05:31 PM
Don't have time for individuals today since I've got to get to work in an hour...today is my early day!! (Jhanai time!!)
Here is an UPDATE on my car problems:
We got a call this morning from them telling us that they took the plug out and check to see the if the gasket had a crack in it or not.....guess what...there was the problem! They FORGOT to put a gasket in! They spoke to the mechanic and another one who was helping and between the two there was a miscommunication and the plug was put back in w/out the gasket.
So: They said that they are getting us a new motor (no cost to us) and told us that they were indeed fully reliable for all the damage that was done. A .50cent piece (for the gasket) is now costing them $1200 to fix. The new motor only has 90,000 miles on it (ours has 130,000) so thats a plus. And the turbo on our motor will be put on the new one since ours is only a few years old.
Needless to say, they did finally admit to us that they did cause the damage....did some apologizing and we'll get the car back (running and fixed) next week.
After all this commotion, James decided to continue going there for our oil changes... he says that they did own up to it and were honest after checking it. (I guess they just had to see it for themselves.)
Ok that's my update, must finish my hair and head out.
Thank you Katy and Katie for the cards!! I got them in the mail today!!
I'll chat and do individuals next time!
Hugs to you all!

:merry:HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE:merry:
I was so tired today that I slept all afternoon, must be exhaustion from carrying that extra year around, this one feels heavier than the rest :lol:I wanted to thankyou again for all the birthday wishes, they meant a lot to me. Its been a prettiy quiet day,I was given a birthday cake but I didn't eat it, that was hard. It was a gesture ,the kids were not upset that I didn't, they know how hard I have been trying to lose this weight but, they enjoyed it on my behalf.I really think its zapping the energy out of me though, but I was down another pound today so its worth it for the time being. I hate the whole process of losing weight ,because for me its not about the food, I think if that was it ,I would'nt have such a hard time. Its really not even a large amount to lose .but to me it seems unsurmountable sometimes , crazy I know. Listen to me whining on my birthday:cry: ,oh oh it must be the age thing . or the lack of food thing or maybe both. I don't feel like doing individuals tonight so forgive my rambling. You girls have made this birthday extra special,(((HUGS))) I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I think I need some sleep so I think I will say goodnight everyone.
Katy - thank you so much for the card and the picture! The kids are just adorable! James is going to be a tall one. Didn't know you chose to keep your maiden name. Do the kids go by R-T or just T? I sure do understand about alone time when you're a sahm! Especially in the winter when you can't get outdoors as much. Sometimes I used to meet Neal at the door with my coat on, ready to leave as he came in, lol.
Ellen - glad you had a happy birthday, and I have to say it's mighty nice to have another 50 year-old around here, lol. When the others hear creaky bones, they won't know if it's you or me, lol. YAY for the 1 pound down. How many does that make now?
Katiecat - the holiday choir sounds like so much fun! Nice way to have fun and bond with co-workers, too. Glad you're feeling better!
Cristi - did you get everything moved? I think I already mentioned it, but I am about to burst with wanting to change something in my house. But don't want to do too much for when we go back to the other place.
Marti - so glad the dealership took responsibility for the mistake they made. James is right, imho, since they made good. At least you know they are honest. Hope you're having fun with your DD today. Bet she loves the new car!
Susan - have you forgotten us, lol?
Hi to the others.
Didn't make it online at all yesterday. Got the house really clean and got some other things done, too. Today I am making chili for tomorrow. Love it a day old, lol. Btw, I get weighed everyday now, and am very happy to report that I'm doing well with maintenance so far. It is just about the same as regular WW, with a few more points added. I even still keep a daily food log, and guess I always will. I am already about 15 minutes late in calling Maggie, so I have to hurry!
Have a good Saturday!

:merry: HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE
Well I survived the big birthday, unscathed!!!!!!
Hi Jane:wave: I'm not sure I like the sound of that number ,but your as young as you feel, right, and numbers don't matter anyway.Aside from the aches and pains I feel as young as I did on Thursday http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/AB8548.jpg I just hope the next 50 are better than the last. I have lost a total of 7 lbs but 4 since I restarted , so having that birthday cake staring me in the face was a challenge. They didn't want to torture me but they could'nt imagine not giving me a cake, but I was ok. I have to do what you did yesterday, make the house sparkle again, which I'm sure I did the other day to:lol: mmmm chili I love chili, I started making mine with chicken breasts a year ago when I was watching my diet , turns out my kids and like it just as much as beef ,so I have been sticking to making it that way.Thats great that you are doing so well , I will be relieved when I'm maintaining ,and not trying to lose . It really is a lifestlye change , so I will be watching from now on ,but I will have my Christmas Dinner, I just can't pass that up. Do you splurge on Holidays or do you stick to your program .So to all you other girls I will be back to catch up later, hopefully I can get something done today,I feel like I might have a little more energy than yesterday.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/untitled.bmp

A quick hi from me today
Marti and Katiecat - thanks for the cards....Angie ,too....(can't remember if I thanked you or not yet) so sweet!
Well, everyone is off of school/work for the next two weeks. The payoff for living a tightwad lifestyle on a teacher's income is that we get Daddy home for two weeks! Can we stand it - are we going to drive each other crazy? Tune in here at Jaded Lady Central for the continuing saga.....
Jane - Kids are just T. When we married, I felt we should both do the same thing with our names either both hyphenate or just leave them alone. My last name is kind of unique and I wanted to keep it...so that's the story of the the name thing. Everybody kind of does their own thing don't they? I was just never all that jazzed about changing my name - so I didn't. Have no prob with the kids - their first and middle names come from my family and their last name is their dad's.
I'm off - kids and I are going thrift store shopping - I need some smaller pants ( wahoo) and James has allowance burning a hole his pocket - so off we go!
Ellen- so glad you had a nice birthday and congratulations on your losses - you are doing great!
12-18-2004, 03:04 PM
quick post....gotta get the house ready for our christmas party.
thanks for not thinking that I am goofy for wanting to wrap them. and I too agree, they work for perfect photo ops!
I will come back later or tomorrow depending on how the party goes.

Good morning all,
I did write a huge post one evening and somehow I ended up pushing a button I shouldn't of and my computer shut down...arghhh I was almost done.
Marti, I am so glad that everything worked out on the motor and such,,,glad they owned up. And i agree with James, what are the chances they will mess up again? And the new car,,is gorgeous! I would be pretty excited about driving it too. Beautiful color,,,very sharp.
Katy, my parents had the town show up one day and cut down all the trees boardering their front yard...I thought it was so much nicer to have all those huge pines gone. I love the picture of the kids,,,you are blessed. Like you Im an alto that needs a strong alto to guide me.
Ellen, hope you got some sleep, do you have any other family? Brothers sisters?
My brother and SIL showed up today with all our gifts, I dropped mine off with them yesterday. They bought a new vehicle recently, very nice, shiny silver. My brother checked out my Santa Fe,,,
I went to see a play last night and laughed so hard I hurt today. It was called the female vesion of Scrooge,,,it was great.
Rehearsal of Steel Magnolia's is going great,,,
Iolanthe meeting was a couple of nights ago but i had to go to Tanner's christmas school band. That was beautiful...the grade 9 played a piece that was written after the 911.
Tanner got the second lead in his school play,,,hes Jack as in Jack in the Beanstalk...I laughed at him cause he tells me,,,*sigh I don't know who's doing costume but I know its no Frank,,,probably some Walmart stuff thrown together.. (Frank is our costumer and wins awards for his stuff,,,Tanner has become a theatre snob)
Brandon is doing so great,,,his spirits are up and hes just cruising along on his crutches. There for awhile he was in so much pain and couldn't move around much,,,he was pretty cranky and Id say a bit depressed.
Skittles is needed a bath so I should get that done,,,and I may even clean the house...arghhh this place is so dusty and needs vaccuuming yuck!
well better run
have a great day Ladies,,,,
Oh Ya Welcome Ann!
12-18-2004, 09:36 PM
Busy weekend so I don't have much time on the computer. Just wanted to say hello and catch up on all the reading.
Drove around in the car today...(ok,,,more like rode around the car today) and it's just gets better and better!!
Anyway, Jhanai has a craft project for us to do so I need to get going.
Take care and I'll post again soon.
12-18-2004, 10:15 PM
Don't really have much to say but thought I should at least drop in and say HI
Jane~what do you mean by you don't want to do too much for when you go back to the other place???? Did I miss something somewhere? Are you guys going to be moving? I am really not itching to do anything new to the place as I did like the yellow in the LR but since getting the furniture it doesn't look right up against it-it really does look funny, or maybe 'off' is a better choice of words. Otherwise I sure wouldn't be doing anything. I like what we did before moving in with all the paint so it would have stayed for years had I found a green couch. There was a time I would change things every few months, even arranging furniture but now that I am older I fix it one way and it usally stays for a long time. Unless we get new furniture and then everything has to be rearranged! LOL We did get everything moved, including the tree! Looks a lot better this way and seems to be more space. Oh well...it will stay for years when we paint again for sure.
Anyway...hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. That's about all I have, I'm in a mood so...see ya later sometime.

Susan where are you??? We miss you ,I hope your feeling ok and everything is fine, sure would be nice to hear from you ,Hi Angie:sman:,the family situation is a really long complicated story , ,so to answer your question yes and no. :( Hi Jane:sman: I was wondering the same thing,do you have a mansion on the side. inquiring minds want to know????Hi Ann:sman: how are you doing today ? Hi Cristi :sman:,I'm like you once I get it where it is chances are it will stay that way,not that I have any options to change it around anyway ,when I had the fireplace built on that main wall I completely limited myself from changing the furniture around or having anything bigger than the loveseats, but I really don't mind ,nothing I would like better than to be done with the decorating and start concentrating on myself at least for a little while, its been a long time, and I need a little decorating to  Hi Katy:sman: yay smaller pants, how exciting for you, did you find some today, hows the tree situation :) I sure hope you and hubby survive the holidays:lol: :snf: Hi Katie:sman: did you get your baking all finished yet? GOOD MORNING EVERYONE :merry: HAPPY HOLIDAYS 7 DAYS LEFT TILL CHRISTMAS
12-19-2004, 03:32 AM
Have a minute again. I was talking to a guy at work who is planning his wedding w/his fiance and he showed me this site for people who are wanting it easier to plan....
I thought of you Jane and your son & future DIL...
Found it to be interesting and looks to be of some big help.
I promise to do individuals soon!!
12-19-2004, 08:26 AM
Good morning, ladies,
Ellen - it's 6 days til Christmas here in Indiana, lol. Not sure how you count 'em in Canada, lol. And only 5 until my family starts the celebration, since we begin on Friday, Christmas Eve. Maintenance is a lot hard work, like losing. But I do get a few more points everyday. I still have to eat healthy stuff, write down what I eat, drink my water, and exercise. I will be splurging somewhat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Not pigging out, but having a little extra. This will be the first time since Jan. 24th that I've done that, so I have to be very, very careful. I would gladly give up some wall space for a fireplace, Ellen! I miss a nice fire...
Katy - oic about the names. YAY for you getting smaller pants!! :bravo: Don't you just love it? Now that I'm in maintenance, I've been buying more clothes. And the good news is, everything's 50% or more off!! I do love a sale!
Mindee - how was the Christmas party?
Angie - how is Jack the 2nd lead?? Sounds like the lead to me... So glad to hear that Brandon is doing great. When will he go in for the other foot?
Marti - thanks for the card! I had to laugh when I saw what you put for my last name. The witch at the post office probably would have sent it back if you'd put your return address on there. She gets mad because my friend (who's also a grandma) and I put Grandma _______ (fill in last name) on our mail to each other! What a crab! I went to the wedding planner site, and love it! I bookmarked it. Did I tell you that I bought 3 bride's magazines/reception magazines to give to Gina on Christmas Day? Not as a C'mas gift, but just because. Hope she'll like that. So what craft project did you and DD do?
Cristi - awww, hope you're out of your bad mood. ((((HUGS)))) About the move.... well, Neal and I are thinking about letting the kids (Mary and Dale) buy the house we live in, and moving back to the old homestead, where Mary and her family are living now. The thing is, it needs some serious work! To start with, it is sagging in the middle, and we'd have to get a company to jack it up and level the foundation. Then we'd have to do the window, walls, etc. The good thing about it is, we always planned to fix up the old place. Neal was born there, and we have lots of memories there. It's a big two story place, with lots of room, and lots of charm, and a fireplace. It could be just gorgeous when we're done. And we have lots of time to work on it. Another plus is, the kids would be able to stay out here in the country, and we wouldn't have the monthly payment on this house anymore. The down side is, it would be expensive to renovate and a huge mess while the work is being done. We go back and forth in our decisions, lol. Too bad we can't afford to live somewhere else while the work is being done. Do you have a spare bedroom, lol?
Katiecat - thank you for the card! Hope you're doing well.
Susan - got the newsletter. Thanks for that! You do such a great job on it!!
Hi to anyone else reading this novel!
Neal and went went to visit some friends last night. They had just moved and we hadn't seen their place yet. She loves my WW lemonade cake, so I took some of that.
Today we're going to DS's to visit this afternoon. Mackenzie has an ornament and a letter from Santa that she wants us to see. The letter says she's on his "Good" list, lol, and boy is she excited about that! She had been very worried that she might get coal for Christmas, but I told her (in confidence) that at age 51, I never, ever heard of a kid who got coal, and that I knew some really bad kids in my day, and for her to not worry. So I'm glad she got the letter to back me up, lol.
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
12-19-2004, 02:43 PM
Ellen-yeppers 7 more days to the big day. The other day I said nine and DS looked at me like WHAT? You don't know how to count! (I really do tho) But I am counting today thru the week with the big day being the 7th day. Can't say I am very excited tho. It has been this way since '91. I get all into the decorating, the music and then the closer it gets I don't even care. It is just a work day for me and just want it to be over. Well, Christmas Eve is-we have our big dinner then. Let's just say I am glad when it is all over. Know what ya mean about rearranging. The fireplace limits my rearranging also and I thought I would like having one again but so far I have used it once. We get the sun thru that part of the house most of the day so it heats up the kitchen, dining area and living room pretty good without having the heater or fireplace going.
Katy~WTG on the smaller pants! WOOHOO!! :bravo: Guess I missed that yesterday, sorry-probably missed a lot of what was said. Did you get your tree done yesterday?
Jane~so when are we going to see a recent pic lady of the new you? You haven't shared in a while. I see about the house, it would be a lot of work but would be well worth it in the end right? Maybe you could impose on Mary & Dale while the renovations are being done??? That is so sweet, about Mackenzie. I remember when the kids were little and they believed. I think we all quit believing in '91 which is sad.
Marti~glad to hear about the old car being taken care of. I agree with James also, they owned up to it so I think it would be fine taking your car back there for future service.
Angie~funny you should mention a female Scrooge, I have been feeling a bit like Ms Scrooge that past few days. BAH HUMBUG! Glad Tanner and Brandon are fine.
Mindee~how did you Christmas party go last night? Hope Brandon is feeling better.
Ended up walking out of Mass this morning. I was just going to sit thru it but DS is the one who said let's go. They had this guy do the service and I couldn't understand half of what he was saying. He just went on and on about some tradition in Mexico that he grew up with and kept repeating hisself. He really had no sermon and what he kept saying didn't make sense at all. Apparently he stands in quite a bit there. I guess before we started going as I have only seen him twice before and it was only to say a thing or two and he always wants everyone to include his tradition from Mexico. Don't think I have ever walked out on a service before except when I started sneezing one time and couldn't stop. I told DS I refuse to go to service there on Christmas Eve-it's the old church or nothing. Anyway, wah, wah, wah, sorry for the little rant. Nothing on the agenda today. Going to catch up on some much needed reading.
Hi to everyone else

Good afternoon ladies.....
Still no time to sit long at the computer, but wanted to see what's up.
Jane.....you have me curious....what in the world did I put for your last name?? PM me and let me know! I'm glad you got it!
Today Jhanai & I are going to walmart to buy some stuff to make fudge for her dad and to get some last minute stocking stuffers. I have the car today, James is visiting his friend and I told him that I don't want to be stuck at home w/out a vehicle! :D
So reluctantly he took his truck.
I better get going.
I'm hoping to do individuals tonight.
Hugs to you all!

hey ladies....quick post because I am getting ready to head to bed. I finally got Brandon to fall asleep early tonight.
the Christmas party went great. things outside the party, well that is another story. a friend of ours, who happens to be one of Brandon's godmothers, has been avoiding us at all costs. well Friday, she called and asked what we were doing. We told her that we were getting ready to go do our Christmas shopping, she then asked if we minded if she came along. We both said no, so we went. Well, the whole time we were out, all we kept hearing about is this new guy she met, that she basically had a one night stand with and now he won't return her calls or anything.
fast forward to our party, and here she is sitting in our kitchen saying that she has forgotten to take her birth control pills twice this past week, had two oopsies (sex encounters) without any protection, and now she feels sick to her stomach. she has since caught up on her birth control pills, but is still not feeling well. to me it all sounds like she over loaded her system on estrogen since she is on the pill, and she thinks that she is pregnant now all of a sudden. (granted it is a possibility) but we have already gone down this road with her, and has spent many a nights over here telling us that she is not sure how she would be able to handle having a baby of her own. a friend of ours asked her "if you think you are pregnant, are you going to call (the guy) and tell him that you think you might be pregnant?" and immediately she said "nope" I mentioned to her that just because her boobs are sore, doesn't mean that she is pregnant, and that some women get sore boobs when they are about to ovulate.
ok....I believe I am done with my rant. I just had to get that all out of my system. Oh yeah....she called here at 11:45pm (Sunday night) and asked what we were doing. Tommy goes "well, we are about to go to bed. why?" she goes "well, I am bored. so I figured I would call and see what you guys are doing." the only time she wants to come over and hang out is when this guy is working or when she is bored.
anyways....back to our christmas party. it went great! everybody that we invited except 5 to 10 people didn't show up. but it was all a great time! we pulled out our kitchen table and got some games of Texas Hold 'em Poker going. we must of played five or six games by the time everyone had left.
sunday we went out to my in-law's house to exchange presents. I have to admit it was a good time until Tommy's sister's boyfriend opened his mouth. For a little background, my parents have adopted 10 or 11 kids, with all different backgrounds and ethnicities. Well, somehow we got on the topic of the schools in our neighborhood (Tommy's sister's boyfriend lives about a half a mile from us, if that) and how there were more ethnicities moving into the area. Well, he said the one word that I absolutely HATE with a passion. (he used the n word) and I figured that since it had been a nice uneventful day that I would let it pass. but I kept my distance from him the rest of the time we were there. we brought our poker chips with us to play, but after he said that I told Tommy I wanted to leave right away. Tommy's sister's boyfriend said the word very loudly and repeatedly, in front of me, Tommy, Brandon, Tommy's brother Tim, Tommy's other brother Al, Al's wife Wendy, Al and Wendy's two sons Michael and Jason, and his own daughter. Anybody who knows my family knows that I don't like that word, and he just was very rude and very ignorant.
so needless to say, he will be one person that I will be avoiding on Christmas Eve at my hubby's Uncle's house. And actually, I will make sure that Brandon doesn't go anywhere near him again. I don't need someone like that saying and using that word in front of my son.
ok....I believe that is everything for now. oh yeah....I forgot my digital camera at my in-law's house because we were in a hurry to leave. Tommy locked the keys in the truck while it was running so we had to get that taken care of and then in all honesty, I had forgotten that I had taken it with me. but Brandon did get a LOT of cute things! he wore one of his christmas presents from his Uncle Joe over to my in-law's house.
