Morning Ladies......
Welcome back BETH! We missed you sweetie.......hope you are doing well and can hang around a while.
Ok, Carrie.....I KNOW what YOU'RE up to :s: Sure, tell Julie to go ahead and eat anything she wants to on her trip......sure, then she'll come back and I"LL be winning the race!!! No way, babe, I ain't gonna let my "restful" vacation (of driving about 3000 miles in a week to visit every known relative who lives down south) put more pounds back on me.
My food is already packed. I know I won't use it all the time, but if it keeps me from eating just 2 "value meals" all week, that's a pound!!
I got 2 points yesterday for water and exercise. I did 50 minutes on the treadmill, but at a slower speed, no inclines, and I taped my knee first. Today I'm planning to do weights and I teach class tonight too. For some reason, I just wanted to snack yesterday.......and we had spaghetti for dinner, which I had way more of than I should. But I do have a martial arts tournament on Saturday, so I'm chalking it up to "carbo loading" for the tourney.
Welcome to Amanda456......and speaking of AMANDA-----Is it me, or did she totally leave us hanging yesterday???? She teases us, we make bets, and then she doesn't post the WI results??? How rude! ;)
No woes today, yet......I'll let you know if I think of any :)
Susan, my husband started out as a friend (a married one at that) and now we are both best friends and spouses for nearly 13 years! So, if you really like this guy...take it slow, but let him know how you feel. Be careful though, I know several girls who thought they "loved" a guy who felt he was "unlovable" and it turned out that they were just feeling sorry for the guy. So be sure your feelings are really what you think they are and save yourself alot of trouble.
Well, better get going....lots to do today.
Julie

Morning All -
Hope you all are doing fine...I am good...
Beth - Good to hear from you ... come back and post again :)
Amanda - Yeah what is up with the weigh in? Or have you done it yet?
Amanda456 - Welcome, welcome!!!!!
Julie - You are so funny, when I was typing that I thought you would think that and make a joke about it... we think alike, scary  :joker:
No, I know you will do well and we will be neck and neck for a while, although with my weekend of eating everything ( last weekend ) I think I have put on a pound or two that I am trying to get back off - so I am backtracking this week :jig:
I really do not have a Weds woe, except for my mole which has turned into a boil I guess ( from what my mom says, Dr Mom ) so we will see when I go to the Dr on Friday...that is a worry woe....
Have a great day all ... :cb: :flow2:

Me :bravo:
I kind of like this going to the gym twice a day. It seems to be less stressful on my crummy knee. I even did 2 minutes at 3.2 mph, which for my fat short, little legs is almost running!
Amanda: Girl, get in here and post. If you are hiding out because you didn't do as well as we predicted or something like that, then shame on you! We are just trying to encourage you and we are anxious to see how the program is working for you. If you didn't lose or even showed a gain, don't be discouraged a lot of things could have played into it!
Julie: ALL'S FAR IN FAT AND GIFT CARDS!!!!!!  Women get vicious when it comes to shopping money! Honestly though, I hope you have a spectacular time though we will miss you while you are gone. Hey, I live down south and I am kind of a sister so feel free to stop in MEMPHIS! ;)
Beth and Pam: I am so thrilled to see you both back here. Please continue to post and get yourself back on track and if we can do anything to help, you know we will!
I went to the gym after dropping off Jack. Now you have to understand I never go to the gym without being "made up." Hair, makeup the whole nine yards and I got up, put clothes on, went hair sticking up and all! I AM CONQUERING MY OCD! I looked ghastly though and took a treadmill over in a corner to keep from scaring people! Came home, stripped (my undies were so wet I felt like I had peed them! ) and am sitting here naked waiting for the color I put on my hair to finish "cooking." I am freezing to death, but can't put anything on without messing it up with color.
Oh, I have a cool WTG. You know I told you I bought pants for the first time at Target. One of the pair was kind of a rayon pull on dress pant. I decided to wear them yesterday to Jack's dr appt and they are BAGGY! :cb: :jig: :cp: I bet in those pants I could have gotten a 1 XL instead of the 2XL. I guess I was so shocked they fit, I didn't pay any attention as to how snug they were. They do look good though! I got a woohoo from Jack so that clinches it!
Well, I better go. Faye :) (Just checked the IRS site and my refund is to be direct deposited Friday night! Yahoo, $4500 so I can get our airline tickets etc! AND I get to buy some more new clothes and Jack is letting me get something to add to my obsession, a new handbag for the trip! I say he is letting me because I own about 60-65 handbags and it drives him nuts! )

SORRY! I didn't report yesterday, it was Nigels fault!. He was on the computer till really late and I was eventually too tired to check in! I wondered if you'd miss me!
Well the news is.........drum roll please.........2.5 pounds down!! :dizzy:
I am pleased as I just don't lose huge amounts of weight - I think it may be because of my medication, but then again, I've always been like that! I am just really happy that it is coming off, and I am gradually chipping away at it! If I lose 2lb every week I will be very happy as that would mean I would reach my target in just over a year! :cp: :cheer: :cp:
Thay don't do 'slimmer of the week' at weightwatchers - but I'd lost the most weight, so that was really good!
PAM - Hello sweetie, I've missed you! Don't worry about gaining a few pounds back - I went away for a month or so before Christmas and came back in January having gained back the 10lb I'd lost and a few more extra!! Just take it from where you are. I know that when your mindset is right it will only take you a couple of weeks to lose that extra weight. Don't look back!
BETH - Welcome back to you too sweetie! I hope you are back for good! I hope everything is going okay for you !
AMANDA456 - Hello Amanda! We are a similar weight - although i am 10 years older than you. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you lose the weight now! I spent most of my twenties depressed and feeling too fat to enjoy life - i don't want to spend my thirties like that too! You go for it and stick with us!
SUSAN - I agree with Cat about this boy - just slip him a few compliments to help him to feel better about himself - let him know that you are there for him, and then wait and see what develops - or you could just tell him, but that takes alot of guts!
Cat - I will warn England to prepare for your return i.e stock up the bars and pubs!
take Care all

Amanda: You better speak to Nigel and inform him that on your weigh in days, his behind could be in BIG trouble from a group of BIG ladies with BIG bats!!!!! I am so proud of you! 2.5 is a great weeks loss and you are right, 2 lbs a week is a good way to lose it and keep it off.
Let's give Amanda some YEAHS: Here goes, I will start first and since I have no marbles left, I choose poetry:
"Y" is for the Yes, Yes, I will lose,
"E" is for enough enough you say,
"A" is for a littler a** you choose,
and "H" is for the final big HOORAY!

Keep up the great work!

Ok, I know, I have too much time on my hands sometimes, but I find this fun so here goes. I am doing a few at a time, but some of you ladies, I am going to have to take serious poetic license with your names!
There once was a dancer named Julie,
Who belly danced, but did not Hulie.
She beat up grown men,
Then she did it again,
Cross my heart, hope to die, I not fooly!
(Yeah, I know, not one of my best efforts!)
There once was a sweet girl named Cat,
Who wanted to get rid of fat,
She worked and she slaved,
Hoping some day it’d pay,
And now Cat who’s not fat is ALL that!
There once was a lovely named Pam,
Her job caused her stress, oh yes,ma’am
She worked answering phones,
Never seemed to go home,
So we all thought she’d went on the lam.
(You need an easier name to rhyme with ! lol)
There once was a Sandy called Brat,
Now just what we ask is with that?
She always seemed nice,
Like sugar and spice,
But who knows, she may be a rat!
There once was a Sandy who smiled,
Then she laughed and she giggled awhile,
Though her serious side,
She tried hard to hide,
We knew it just wasn’t her style!
ENJOY! Faye :)

Ha ha Faye - love the poems!
i forgot to say I got 4 points yesterday - I was in town after my weigh in, and I really didn't fancy going to the gym - but I made myself go and am glad that I did!
Amanda456 - Fridays is when alot of people weigh in, or when Faye adds up the totals for the week. I weigh in on Tuesday as that is when my WW meeting is , but it's up to you! WHOO HOO! for your 3lb loss - thats fantastic!!

Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA. :sorry: Its been a tough week. Our eldery neighbor passed away and she has been such a big part of our lives for the past 8 years. Both my children called her Grandma and she was just the dearest woman you'd ever meet. Her funeral is on Friday, DH is a pallbearer and its going to be very hard.
I didn't work out on Monday (too drained from emotions), :tired: but have worked out the rest of this week so far. Havent' had much of an appetite so I am doing really well with eating.
So for points: Sunday & Monday were both 3s. Tuesday and today are 4s. :cb:
Just trying to keep really busy so I don't dwell. My DD is taking it the hardest, so I'm trying to find special time for her.
Treated myself to a new haircut on Sunday (spur of the moment thing). Cut my mid-back length hair down to a shoulder length shag. Still trying to figure out how to style it! LOL! Then Monday night I colored it burgandy, which you really cant' see unless I'm in the light because my hair is so naturally dark.
I also treated myself to a tan on Friday and again today. I have psoriasis and it really seems to help, plus I get a 20 minute nap! Hee hee.
That's about it. Just keeping busy and plugging along. Will measure tomorrow and see what I'm losing in inches. I always lose it in the hips and chest first. DH notices this too! :sssh:
Welcome to Amanda 456! You will just love this group! I've only been here a short time, but they are all great! Congrats on your loss!
Welcome back to the fold, Pam & Beth!
Faye - That's a doozy of a tax return! Have fun spending it - but not all in one place! LOL!
Oh, I almost forgot. Jello & Curves are doing a promotion that I am going to take advantage of. Buy 2 Jello low fat products, bring in the receipt and get three FREE workouts at Curves! Here's the link: http://kraft4.promotions.com/healthylivingwinter/page.do?page=offer.html

Carri: Adorable, thanks! I used to write Jack dirty limericks when he was overseas so I got to be pretty good at them.
I did a sneaky on the ole dh tonight. I made a lowfat lasagna, but Jack hates cottage or ricotta cheese. I had a recipe that uses FF cottage cheese and mozzarella so I took the carton of ccheese mixed with about 1/2 c water in the blender until it was smooth, then mixed in the moz and some ff cheddar because I always used moz and cheddar before and didn't want him to suspect anything. I also didn't use bottled sauce but pureed canned italian tomatoes with garlic and onions and he raved about it. So you have to keep my secret girls! :ziplip:
Everyone have a great night and I will talk to you later

Hey all,
Well, it's Thursday morning here. Yesterday I drank my water (and didn't have any caffeine!!! I will kill this addiction before I go home!) and did my running. I keep posted in my weightloss blog that I wish I could remember before I go running how good I feel afterwards. The program I'm doing kicked it up a notch this week. When I first read the description: "Run 90 seconds, then fast walk for 2 minutes...", I thought, "Eh, that'll be a breeze! I was running 60 seconds and walking for 90 last week! This'll be so easy, maybe I should skip ahead..."
I am so glad I didn't. I was so sore afterwards! I don't know why that made such a difference, since I do run for longer than this during Wu Shu class (that is, longer than 90 seconds, but I think the total run is for four minutes). I was dying near the end of every running stint. Ah well. I stuck to it, I did it, I did my stretches afterwards, and then I had a long hot shower.
Julie, what class do you teach? Also, I saw something about bellydancing in one of Faye's cute poems... I'm really interested in looking into that when I get home. Can someone tell me more about it?
I can't really think of a good woe, unless you want to count the fact that I'm terribly homesick this week. *sigh* I knew when I left that my beloved was lousy with email and letters, and I thought I was prepared for that, but I guess not. I really miss him. I'd say he's acting weird on the phone, except he's acting exactly like he did right before we started going out. Basically, like he did when he was afraid to let me know that he liked me and wanted to date me. Which is sweet in a way, but on the other hand *arrrgggg!*. Just freaking tell me you miss me you idiot! *rrrrrrrrr* *grin*
There, I feel much better.
Take care, ladies, be well.
Anna

Evening everyone!
Been MIA for a while! I have been having to pull 56 hrs/wk where I work my first job. One of the other mgrs has been out of work since last Wed. Her husband has been in the hospital and is really sick. So that leaves me to pull all of the closed, and have pulled 2 doubles since she has been out. I have no idea when she is going to get to come back but something has to give soo haven't got to see Corey for a week. It breaks my heart everytime that I call and talk to him and he begs me to come and get him. I swear that sometimes I think that I would be better off to quit work and do nothing but then again who would feed my son? THat is my woe! I am exhausted and worn out. Maybe I will be able to check back in soon.

Anna: I think you need to white knuckle it and cut the soft drinks cold turkey! You will have a 2 day headache from ****, but you will not believe how much better you feel and if you are drinking regular and not diet, how much weight you will lose. It is the one thing I cut out of my life was regular caffeine soda. I learned to drink diet when I want a soft drink, but I buy caffeine free diet pepsi in a 12 pak and it lasts probably at least 2 months and even then, Jack has drank some of them. It was the one thing I knew I could never control in my life so I got rid of it. At my "peek" I was consuming 12 cans a day and basically NO water pretty much. I substituted water for at least the first 6 months I was on my program and didn't drink ANYTHING else at all so I could learn to drink water, then I gradually added a soft drink here or there but only with a meal as I hated the taste. I never thought I would get used to it, but I have and haven't had a regular soda in a year.
SandyG: Oh, poor Corey and poor you! There is nothing worse than "mommy" guilt and pretty much nothing you can do about it. Like you said, you have to have your jobs to survive. I would make up my mind on the weeks I was working lots of overtime to make sure you and Corey do something extra special those weeks. I feel for you, I really do. I stayed home with my children with their dad being in the Navy we thought that was best, but we sure did suffer financially for it. If you talk to our kids, they considered themselves poor and I guess we were. Hang in there, maybe your co-worker will be back to work soon!
Jack is buying a laptop with part of the tax refund and he woke me up to tell me he found the one he wanted so here I sit typing away! I had very little sleep last night because the animals were crazy last night and wouldn't settle down so by 7 pm I was pooped and fell asleep watching tv. Jack came to bed at 10 and woke me up, which is ok, but I have had enough sleep to be awake now!
Everyone sleep well and I will see you in the morning. Oh, tomorrow is errand day so I won't get to post a lot.

Good evening (for me) or morning (for you) ladies...
Well, I'm slowly getting myself weaned off the caffeine. I haven't had any in two days I think... Which is impressive for me. I think my caffeine habit could have beaten yours any day of the week, Faye, and it was the only thing I would drink for the longest time. I'm drinking water now, but not enough. I know you're supposed to drink... 64 oz of water a day... what's that work out to in liters?
(Canada is so weird that way. We use the metric system for distances, but we use the imperial system for height and weight, and it depends on what you're buying if it's liters or ounces. I can't imagine cooking with the metric system.)
My Wu Shu class was only 30 minutes today instead of an hour, and I am drinking my water. Go me. I also feel like I've been beaten with a big stick. I think I mentioned this earlier, but maybe not. I am so sick. I get sick at least once a month here, because my body is not used to all of the colds and flus that go around the school. Plus, I have a weak immune system. Everytime I get sick, it's unto death.
So, no more caffeine... I've actually noticed when I can manage to cut back how much better I sleep. Well, less that and more that when I cut myself off for a good week and a half, and then had some, I couldn't sleep. Note to self: Sleep is good. No caffeine = more sleep.

Morning Ladies.
Leaving soon, so quick post. 2 points for yesterday. Exercise and water....for some reason I had to stuff myself with salt yesterday. Tom is over, so not sure where that came from.
Anna, yes I do teach bellydance....2x a week right now, plus private lessons now and then. I have a webpage if you wanna have a look.....www.aaminahdance.com My stage name is Mira (hence the mirabelly name on 3fc). If you have any questions about it, just let me know. I can't talk long right now. If you want to play around with it right now, you can always use videos. I can recommend some good ones when I get back.
Later babes........everyone stay :strong: this week!
I'll try to check in once or twice while I"m on the road.

Well I was a little off program last night but not by much ... so I wont be too hard on myself...I got a little hungry last night and ended up having a few chips and salsa to end the night, the salsa was FF and I didnt eat too many of the chips so I wont be too hard on myself...
Anna - I agree with Faye, just cold turkey with the soft drinks and the caffeine, there will be headaches, oh yes, but those will pass and you will start dropping pounds from all of the sugar you are not having....
I dont think I am going to have time for Time for me Thursday, although I guess I might around 8:00, where I stop everything to watch Friends...
I will check in with you guys later ...

1. Having limited web access
2. Trying OA, new approach. I just lost all my umph, need something more whole person. I am going to try the OA way of seeing weight a symptom. We'll see how it goes. If it works I am sure I will become obnoxious and try to convert every one of you!!! Just fooling, I hope!
Take care and keep fighting the good fight
And thanks for all the support I have felt here over the last month and a half.
PS. Anyone can message me anytime. I am keeping my acct. here open!

OH my gosh! I have missed you all soo much! I am so sorry i haven't kept in touch. So much has been going on. Then we also switched internet providers and that has been a nightmare too.
Good news is I have lost one pound. I know no big deal but considering that on Saturday i will be 12 weeks prego with no gains i'm happy.
I have had no typical symptoms which has been nice. I have had some irregular heart palpitations and some extreme dizziness, but it's less often now. i had to have an ekg,an ultrasound for my heart and wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. everything came back normal, they did notice the palpitations but were not concerned.
The take over at work has been really stressful and is beginning to calm a bit, just in time for the next big change in systems and procedures taking place in march.
I have had one typical symptom and that's tiredness, hubby says it's my fault though because I won't slow down. I have some though. The heart thing acts up if I walk rapidly so I get short of breath, when that happens they told me to take it down a notch, so I am.
we got to see baby on the ultrasound at 9 weeks no way to determine the sex at that age. baby was dancing around and having a grand ole time though. I am so excited!!
we already have been yard saleing and have gotten a high chair,a bouny seat,a changing table,a toddler bed,a stroller 2nd hand from my sister and a few baby toys. Lots of scrubbing and they are like new!
This weekend is a really busy one for me,sat morning is yard sales, afternoon is animal rabies shots, evening is babysitt a friends baby, sun morning is church, afternoon is DAYTONA 500!! Sunday evening I am chaperoneing a valentines dance for ROTC.
I guess that's it on me for now and I will try to check in more often, I hope all of you are doing great and losing like crazy!

Evening!
Looks as if everyone has been very busy. Faye, I think that it is great that you were able to go to WalMart and Target. I can understand the thrill all too well. I was so happy when I got to leave the plus size side of the store for the missy side.
Lisa, I am so thrilled for you. A summer baby! I will be saying a prayer for you and your lil bundle. Take care and keep us informed.
Another 4 pointer. Just thought that I would check in before bed time. Hope that everyone has a great Friday!

I am checking in now since I have my mole appt around 10:30 this morning and will go home after to veg on couch....
I sadly ( and for the first time in 7 weeks ) have no loss to report, well I do and I dont ... remember how I said I totally blew the weekend and ate whatever I wanted? Well I gained two pounds...and have spent this week getting those two pounds back off, working backwards ... so technically I lost two but... ya know ... next week I will have more of a loss to report!! :)
LISA - GREAT to hear from you ... I am glad to hear that everything is going fine with the baby, the heart palpitations sounds like it might be stress related...I know I am that way...check back in soon!!!
Faye - Congrats on the shopping, boy I really need to get some new clothes but at the rate I am losing I dont have the money to keep buying sizes, but lets face it I probably have every size of jeans in my closet, as I uped the weight and scale I kept all sizes going up - so I will be good for a while...
Gigglez - congrats on the 4 pointer, good work
Donna - I am just getting over a sinus infection so I know what you are going through :( it is no fun ... hope you get over it soon ...
Amanda, Amanda456, Scuzin, Pam, Julie, Sandy B, Beth, KimmyAnn, Sandy G,

Lisa: Great to see you again and glad everything is A-ok with the little one. Just try and take it easy!
I am so pooped today and I have soooooo much to do again. I was up until midnight waiting for them to post our tax return then went and bought our airline tickets, my future dil's diamond earrings for her shower, some more clothes on QVC, Jack a laptop and finally crashed into bed about one and got up at 5. On top of that, looks like we may have a leak as water was dripping from the living room ceiling. Jack turned off the hot water thinking it may be a leaky faucet and it stopped dripping, BUT I came home from taking him to work and the gym and there is pieces of ceiling all over my living room floor so I get to clean that up, clean the house, get ready for B to come home tomorrow from the vets (they had to postpone his surgery a day as dr got sick yesterday) and finsih getting stuff my birthdays, wedding and bridal shower. Tomorrow is grocery day so I will be busy again. Maybe by Sunday I can crash somewhere in a chair and watch movies all day!
I did a good thing girls! I have had cramps for 3 days and today is the worst and I haven't started tom yet, but you know you always seem to want comfort food instead of other stuff. I went into the grocery store this morning to get some dinner prep stuff and there in the bakery case, fresh assorted flavored turnovers, my favorite. I started to walk up to the case, then turned the basket around walked up to the produce section and got me a half canteloupe! Yeah for me!
I need to go. I am so swamped with things to do today!

Hi all - I'm just popping in quickly.
I got 4 points for Weds and Thurs - yesterday I met with the instructor at the gym and we worked out a programme. It is really great - she's certainly working me hard (but not too hard) - I ached a bit today, but I think thats a good sign - that I worked harder than I normally do. We've set a target to lose 14lb in 20 sessions - totally achievable!
I've been brilliant with my diet all week - until tonight! I had a pizza, but was really good and had a thin crust with hardly any toppings. The trouble is we are going for an Indian meal tomorrow for valentines - so that will be two days 'off programme'. I'm going to try to eat sensibly tomorrow night - but I'll still end up eating more than I would at home. Still - i've been really good so far and doing lots of exercise, so I'm not too worried about it. We can't stop everything just because we are on diets.
Lovely to hear from Lisa, and sorry to say goodbye to Kim - I wish them both well!

Hey there all!
Faye, super job on passing up the turnovers!
Amanda P, if I can remember from when I was on WW you use to get activity points. Don't really know if they still do it but if they do that will help you out. I know that when I was on WW I would bank points if I knew there was something special comming up. But in the end one or two days off wont hurt you as long as you don't over induldge.
Sandy, hope that you get to feeling better soon. Enjoy your trip!
Amanda, great job on the 3lbs! I am so happy that you got to celebrate Valentines Day!
I hope that each and everyone of you have a memorable Valentines Day! I know that I will I have to work. Was suppose to have off the weekend but sometimes things don't go as planned. Ah I guess that's life!
Off to dream land. Catch everyone later.

Here's a great joke that will put a smile on anyones face....ENJOY!! :cb:Its for all of you on Weight Watchers!!!
You know You're a Weight Watcher member when...
. You accidentally swallow toothpaste and wonder how many POINTS it had in it.
· You stand in the aisles at the grocery store with your WW PointsFinder figuring POINTS before you buy.
· You feel your collar bone/ribs/hip bones and think you need to call 911 because something must be broken.
· Everyone at your lunch table is asking you to figure the POINTS on their lunch.
· You threaten to put your cat on WW.
· You figure the POINTS on cough syrup.
. Your child says there are too many POINTS in something s/he doesn't want to eat!
· You don't want to share ANY of your food with anyone because you've measured it and know exactly how many POINTS are in it.
· You know where every public restroom is wherever you go . . . you need it after drinking all that water!
· You realize "gram" is a four letter word.
· You weigh yourself before and after the bathroom just to see how much of a difference it makes.
· You don't mind "seeing stars."
· You ask your WW leader to bring in a curtain so you can weigh-in naked.
· Your child gets an "A" in English for turning your journal in as a book report.
· You convince the grocery store owner to organize the food aisles according to POINTS values.
· You hang your 5 pound book markers from your car antenna.
· You replace your college diploma with your 50 lb. magnet (now which one is actually tougher to achieve?).
· You Calculate Activity points for Sex!
· You not only weigh food on your food scale, but your clothes, keys, HAIR, socks, etc
· People at work know when your weigh in day is because you have the same outfit on that day EVERY WEEK
· you call your family to the dinner table and instead of "what's for dinner?" they ask "how many points are we having for dinner?"
· you take a bite and then spit it out because you realize it wasn't worth the points!
· you mark all the food boxes in the house with points per serving
· you carry your journal with you wherever you go
· you take Molly McCheese with you to the restaurant so you don't waste your points on butter
· you ask your family to hide the cookies and chips so you won't be tempted
· Kashi becomes your favorite snack food
· "On The Side" become the 3 most uttered words in your vocabulary
· you start parking in the back of the parking lot for the extra exercise
· you start wondering why restaurant servings of any meal are large enough to feed 3 grown me
· you start wondering how many points are in bubble gum
· you look down at the backs of your hands and get freaked out by how skinny they look
· you weigh every pair of shoes you own
· you spend 10 minutes in Staples looking for the prettiest paperclips for your paperclip chain
· you want to drive to Ben & Jerry's individual houses and drown them in a vat of Chunky Monkey
· you take up knitting/crocheting/tatting/rughooking/paintbynumbers to keep your mind off food
· the thought of having a bran muffin for breakfst gets you so excited you can't fall asleep.
· you dance a little jig in front of the frozen foods case in the grocery store because you finally found Skinny Cows!
· You stop licking postage stamps when you realize they are 1 tenth of a calorie each.
· know in advance, by heart, what you can eat at each and every resturaunt that DH may want to go to.
· instead of carrying an armful of things thru the house, you intentionally made several trips to get in that extra 20 steps of walking.
· you smile and gaze adoringly at the produce aisle.
· your junk drawer at work has been revamped to include Milky Way Lites, LF granola bars, FF Pringles and lite peach cups instead of Cheetos and snickers bars.
· you take a big black permanent marker and not only mark the points but also write your name and "DO NOT TOUCH OR ELSE".
· everywhere you go, you take along two 'purses'. Your regular purse, and your Weight Watcher's Black Bag, with the point guides, Slider, and all other 'stuff' in there!
· you dont wear any makeup to get weighed in , fearing it will weigh too much
· you see really overweight people and want to tell them they can do something to change their lives!
· You hold up your snacks next to your kids' and warn them that eating the wrong ones will result in their demise.
· the jeans that you would have never dared to put in the dryer for fear that they would not make it back over your hips... are in there right now, as you hope to shrink them enough that they won't fall straight off!
HA HA HA
take care,

Me :bravo:
Boy one more busy day and I should be done. Ran all over again today but got in one round at the gym this morning despite cramps from **** (I have one bad 24 hour period then it is over with but boy it is rough sometimes)
My baby came home from the vet today. His surgery went fine, but it breaks my heart to see him limping and everything. His little paws are swollen and I am hoping the swelling will go down by tomorrow or the next day. He is taking in food and water though but we have a time of it giving him his medicine. We can't do it in food because the animals eat out of the same bowl and refuse to do anything different.
Got all clothes, gift giving etc shopping finished up today. I found the most beautiful quarter carat diamond studs for my son's fiance for a bridal shower gift, got her the Victoria's Secret gift certificate then because she had mentioned buying blue panties to wear under her wedding gown, found a darling pair of lace ones and bought those for her too. I spent $15 on 2 birthday, a wedding, a bridal shower and a sympathy cards. I think that is down right criminal! Maybe I should just make my own. I have a great graphics program and I certainly can do poetry as well as they do.
Well, girlies, I am totally pooped again tonight and need to check on Butterscotch before calling it a night.
See you in the morning.

Is it still Saturday back home? I have no idea. :)
Well, I've almost kicked my horrid cold. I gave up on any excersize, but I'm proud that I kept up with the water drinking. I snuck in some Sprite, but it was so unsatisfying. Weaning myself off junk pop is a good thing, I think. The apple juice I had was much more satisfying.
So, one point for me. *grin*
I thought I'd share a funny story about one of my classes. Every time I take on a new class, the first day is just introduction stuff. They each stand up, give me their name, tell me a bit about themselves, and I ask them a random question. I usually ask three or four times in a fifty person class: "Do you have a boyfriend?" or "Do you have a girlfriend?" As you can imagine, everyone turns into fits of giggles, and the victim is quick to disavow any possiblity that they're dating someone.
The last time I did this, I had asked the question about three times when I got to the second last girl in the class. "Do you have a boyfriend?" I asked. The rest of the class exploded, but she announced proudly: "I have lots of boyfriends!" The class couldn't calm down enough to hear the rest of her answer: "My father, my brother, my grandfather..."
I thought it was cute. I do love interacting with the students here.

SUNDAY: Today is Silly Poll Sunday and our Silly Poll today is: What actress or actor, if any, do you like so much go see ANY movie they are in?
Anna: Cute story! A lot of times, foreigners take our way of expressing ourselves so literally.
Well, I was up checking on the cat, who is doing ok so back to bed for me!

Good evening Ladies!
Well, my answer to the poll is easy:
If it's got Sean Connory in it (even if I can't spell his name), I'm there. If the movie sucks (like "League of Extrodinary Gentlemen"), I just close my eyes and listen to him talk. I've got a huge thing for guys with accents.
Which of course has no bearing on the fact that I want to work in a foriegn country. None. Really. *grin*
I have a real liking for Julia Roberts, too, but I think it's just because I like her hair. I picked up the DVD for "Mona Lisa Smile", just cuz her name was on it. (Sadly, didn't like that film, either.)
Kept up my water intake, and I'm even managing to eat again. Go me!
On an unrelated note, I suddenly figured out what I'm going to do when I get fit. I'm going to buy a full length mirror. I can count on one hand with fingers left over the number of times I've willingly looked at myself in the past... um... life. I haven't seen myself below my breasts in years, except when trying on clothes. And usually then, I'll just make sure it fits. So, yeah. A full length mirror. So when I have muscles and stuff to admire, I can admire them.
What about you?

I've been lurking. You gals seem like a lot of fun.
So, here's my 2cents.(not that I ever just put in my 2cents, dh says if she's not talkin', check her pulse cause she's probably not breathin') So to the question of actress/actor; Mel Gibson! from Lethal weapon(so hot) to Braveheart(scorching) as a soldier, as a dad, as Mad Max. Just love him. I have a chinchilla(refugee from my son's college days) that I name Gibby.(I think he looks australian) and I live 15 minutes from Peekskill, were Gibson lived before moving down under.
So definitely, Mel Gibson :hyper: :faint: :flame: :o :T

Hi all!
WELCOME DONNA D!!!! - join right in!
I got 3 points yesterday.
I like Kevin Spacey and Ed Norton - I usually pick up a film if they are in it - although there was this awful film with Ed Norton on TV recently, the one where he is a priest and his friend is a rabbi - awful!! I don't think I've seen a bad film with Kevin Spacey in it. Funny, but my liking these actors has nothing to do with thinking they are cute - I just think they are good actors. For female actors I quite like Julia Roberts aswell. i also think Tom Hanks has done alot of good films.
Love Amanda xx

WELCOME TO YOU, DonnaD. Since we have 2 Donna's now, It will be Donna and DonnaD so heads up for that ladies!
DonnaD: Any info is in the very first post of the thread as far as what are points, challenges we are doing etc. Please provide a bio and I will add it to my bio stats for newbies. Below is bios on most of us!
The 2 Amandas: Great jobs this weekend girls!
As for the poll, Anna, I LIKED League a lot and watched it about 3 times! I like Sean Connery also, Harrison Ford, love Kurt Russell who has a marvelous sense of humor, Mel Gibson is a great actor and one of my favorite films of his was Tim which probably none of you have seen with Candace Bergen. I am NOT a big fan of women in movies. I am your basic MAN lover! :s:  I guess I have really aged because I am not that big a fan of your 20 and 30 something actors. As far as comedy, I love Cedric the Entertainer and I like Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin now that Eddie has cleaned up his act and Steve is doing adult films that aren't moronic. Cheaper by the Dozen was a darling film.
Well, girlies, I need to get off line. I will talk at length tomorrow as I am finally done with all shopping!!!
Faye :)

BETH :I am 40 divorced for the past 4 years, no kids and at the moment no pets although I am a big dog lover. I am going to school full time at a private university in Florida. I have a degree in accounting which I don't use and instead work for myself pretty much part time at home. Currently I am majoring in writing - drama. I would like to go to Brown to get my Masters when I finish in writing drama as well. A relationship with someone I loved dearly ended last week and I am trying to move on but the circumstances that caused the ending is making that a bit hard. I have a week and a half of school left before Christmas break and then six weeks off. I plan to use that time just for myself. Putting me first and spending my time on ingraining a healthier life style. My long term goal is to be in much better shape and at a much lower weight by the time I start graduate school which is about a year and a half from now.
I like the normal things, movies, tennis, bike riding, photography and art in general. I'm looking forward to being part of your group.

About me: I am Kim; 26 years old, and just started
Nursing School. I have a degree from the University of
Oregon in biology (2001). I currently live with my
b.f., who will be leaving me to go back to work in
March (which I am scared of!) He works overseas as a
performing artist-comedian-juggler, and for the past 4
years I have been spoiled enough to have lived with
him half-time in Europe. It has been a terrific
adventure (but not cost-effective), and since I am in
school now, I can not go back for a while. I have
struggled with weight for a while, I have about 21
pounds to lose now to reach my goal weight of 158 lbs.
But who's counting? I am on a very lax plan now
focusing on exersize and eating awareness, not eating
control, and plan not to weigh myself for the next 16
weeks, as long as I stick to my plan. I have two
kitties on loan until march, and they are making life
very fun. I also have 2 goldfish, Beaky and Spot.
I'm a SAHM (with two parttime businesses) to two wonderful children, 14 and 6. I'm very fortunate to have a super supportive husband, but I need to lose some more weight. My highest was over 235, my lowest in ten years has been 185. I've been hovering back at 200 again, and want to get down at least 20 lbs initially, 40 ideally. I have hypothyroid and PCOS which makes the struggle even more frustrating and slow. My username Zookeeper16 came from a friend of mine. I have 2 dogs, an inside cat, a bird, a guinea pig and fish. Outside, we have 4 horses, 11 cats, 6 rabbits, 6 guinea hens, 2 peacocks, a pheasant and a bunch of chickens. Hence the zoo! It keeps me busy! I also do a lot of volunteer things for school/church and 4H, as well as serving on the Board of Education.
My name is Amanda, but everyone calls me Amanda456. I am 20 years old I live in saskatchewan canada with my boyfriend Chad, boarderCollie Tucker and cat Wrangler. I had a kidney transplant in 1999. I received my moms kidney. I am currently taking a home study course its an office course. I started gain weight when I was around 10 years old mostly from medication. My highest weight was 282 and I currently weight 258. I know that togethet we CAN DO THIS!!!! Welcome and good luck!!
My friends call me Anna, and I've had the online nickname of Trouble since 1994. I'm currently living in Jiangsu Province, China (if you want postcards, drop me an email), but I hail from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I left behind a supportive boyfriend and a cat who hates me, and I miss them both. I'm not as concerned about pounds as I am about feelings. I'm tired of not fitting into the same clothes that I was wearing a year ago. Some of them are really nice! Plus, I'm tired of being tired all the time. So, here I am, determined to get fit and lose some of this body. I'm mostly doing it through excersize: Wu Shu classes twice a week and running three times a week, plus free weights three times a week.
