Sherry you makes us always feel at home. The image that you attatched today made me feel like I was sitting down having my coffee with my best friend this morning. In reality you girls are my best friends. I share more with you girls about what is going on and how I really feel than anyone else. I just want to let you know that you are all very special to me. Without being able to work, the floozies have become a big part of my life. I come and check in here many times a day to see if any of my friends have posted. I may not post that day depending what is happening here but I know that you are all there for me.......thanks so much.

Yesterday it was my walking friend's birthday. She turned 42. Larry and I poped by and dropped of a gift. One of the gifts that we dropped off was a bottle of fruit flavored wine that we made. Gayle did you know that you can take your wine and add a bag of fruit flavor to it and it makes it taste like Koolaid? We call it Niagra mist here, not sure what the name is in your part of the woods. We made up Tropical Fruit which has grapefruit, passionfruit, orange and a combo of other flavors in it. It is a really refreshing drink. My girlfriend Cindy asked us if we made any. I didn't know anything about it before. She put in her special request for it this summer by the pool. Larry laughed and told her we would never get rid of her then. :D But low and behold a week later he made some for her.

Yesterday we also attended a wedding. My youngest cousin on Dad's side got married. She is 32. Different having a wedding on sunday but it was beautiful. She has a model figure and is very beautiful. She looked lovely. Her husband is a lead singer in a band so having a gather with a bunch of entertainers was a blast. My mom even made it to the dinner. She is walking around a bit. Still in a lot of pain and the swelling hasn't gone down. Her spirts are low and she is grumpy but I know that she is gonna pull through this one. Thank you for all your suppost. I hate to be a downer with all the bad news that I seem to bring. I sometimes avoid posting because it is so negitive. I am a positive up beat person and I don't want to bring everyone down. I know that you don't mind and that is why I feel like I can sound off when I really need to. Thanks for that.

Well this board is hot on losing and it has inspired me to keep on truckin. Thanks for the motivation, I really needed a kick in the butt. Everyone go have a great day!

Hey girls

I wasn't going to post because I have been in the worse mood today. Funny thing is I can't figure out why. I know myself well and know all the things that tick me off!! :eek: But today was different, almost like a bad case of PMS {which I don't have anymore}
Well anywaysI ATE EVERYTHING IN SIGHT TODAY!! ICE CREAM, BROWNIES, CANDY BARS, ABOUT 4 ROLLS WITH LUNCH...STOPPED FOR A MILK SHAKE ON THE WAY HOME AND THEN WHEN I GOT HOME WENT LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO MUNCH ON.

DO YOU GUYS STILL LOVE ME?????

Deb...was ready to come to Tenn. and kick butt. But figured you really didn't go off after doing so well.

I need to get my big butt going and have to get with the program. The doc fussed at me big time. My chol. is 344 and he was extremely upset with me. Told me to go on the Schwarzbein Principle diet...Similiar to the Atkins but goes along with those who are insulin tolerant. So guess if want to live a little longer I better start doing something right.

Keep me motivated ladies....you know i get lazy and feeling sorry for myself....

I hear ya Sher and Gayle....

I agree with all of you. This is the best group of ladies to cheer you on when your doing great and to inspire you when you are down. I think we have all been through our share of ups and downs. I want to be one of the down ones!!! Weight wise I mean!!

Dee-I love your challenge on the exercise thread. Everyone needs to go over there and read it!! We can party at Sherry's, then go to Dee's and finish the partying!! It may take a year or 2 to get there for me, though!!

Sherry-The kids here get out of school on May 30. I have to work a couple of weeks after that, I haven't even checked when my last day is yet!! I have to work on the budget for next year, and we won't even know what we have to work with until the beginning of May. I hate end of the year, I have so much to do at the last minute before I can leave for vacation!

Debbie-I am so proud of you. When I first saw your post, I thought, oh well---she will just go right back OP tomorrow, and enjoy until then. I also thought---that is me at times!! Anyway, I'm glad it was a joke.

Sherry-A weight thread would be great!

Gayle-Your pond is beautiful. Maybe we will have to walk or run over to check it out!!

Vicki-Believe it or not, I've got the book on the Schwazbein Principle. If you want, I can let you have it. Just PM me with your address. It's too rigid for me. I had bought it with intentions to use in for my UC problems.

Gotta go--it's almost 6AM, and I have to get to work!

Love to all!

Surprise I am back 2 days in a row!!! See Sherry I do listen (sometimes) You told me to post today and here I am.

It is nice to know I have so many people in my corner.

I am not on any plan yet, but I am restricting myself to 3 squares a day!! No Snacks!! And yes Debbie... I have been off M&M's for about a week now!!

Small baby steps for me. Once I feel comfortable with this, (and my stomach shrinks after bingeing so much) I will try taking away something else.

One way or another I am going to do this!!!

I envy you school ladies that will be out for the summer. I was just thinking today about how I need a day or two off!!! We are so busy at work that everything is a rush!! I guess that is job security for you!! but the stress.... well you all know about that!!

Gayle where are those pond pictures. I would just love to have a pond!!

Jennelle: You and I seem to be hanging onto those old ways of late. Time to shake off the dulldrums and get to it. What do you say? Lets do this together.

A weight thread? Maybe... motivation.... great idea....

Gotta run ladies.

Have a great night.
Hugs to my friends

Hi Girls:cb:

Glad everyone enjoyed my little April fools joke. Seems like a few weeks ago, it was no joke. But for today, I'm happy it was only a joke. Day 10 for me being 100% OP!!! :cp:

Sherry...I am so tired this afternoon. James has me running!!! When I got home from work he wanted me to till the garden spot up. After that he had me spreading 100 pounds of lime over it. That tiller jarred me so much, maybe it shook some fat off!! :joker:

Carol...Glad you are posting daily now. That is the first step. Whatever works for you, is great. Just hang around here and you will be totally OP before you know it.

Jeanne....I enjoy reading your menus on the Easter thread. I'm going to look for those tortillas.

Hope everyone is having a great evening. The weather here is wonderful!!
Got to take a shower and get this lime off me. I will post more later.

Hugs...Deb

Hi girls!!!!

Carol: Two days in a row, W@W!!!! Yes, I think baby steps are the key. Let me know our email address and I will send you the pond pics.

Deb: How big of a garden are you going to have this year? If I remember correctly, the lime is used to level out the PH of the soil? will James be able to plant, or will you get to be the lucky one?

Thanks everyone, for all the nice comments about the pond. I didn't think hubs and I did to bad for our first project! I'm getting the fish later this week, then adding plants in the next few weeks, once I now that it is warm enough.

Having a MAJOR hard time staying OP!!!!!! I feel fat and look fat. Tried on my summer shorts and I can't even begin to get the suckers zipped!!! So, instead of saying NO MORE JUNK FOOD! I get depressed and want to shovel EVERYTHING into my mouth! Okay, enough complaining!!! Off the pity wagon and hopping aboard the OP train!!!!

Hi all,
It seems like I'm always the last one to post each day. It is after 11:00 here and the rest of you are probably in the middle of your beauty sleep...not much going on here just wanted to check in and let you know I am here on the main board...Just hung up with a friend of mine who is heading out on a trip to Africa, wow! She works for an adventure travel agency and they offered their employees a free trip if they would take a 6 week absence without pay...not sure if I would choose Africa. I have another friend that has a trip planned to Singapore at spring break to see her step-daughter...not sure if I would choose Singapore either (SARS). I'm thinking that she may be rethinking that trip about now!
I'm just hoping that United Airlines doesn't liquidate before we go on our trip to Maui in June (that is my whole incentive here...remember my screen name)....yikes! If United goes under, I think I'll go to 31 Flavors and get a Jamoca Almond Fudge Hot Fudge sundae with whipped cream and nuts....mmmmm. I wonder how many carbs???
Have an OP day everyone.

Sherry-You are doing awesome, as are everyone else!! I forget-what plan are you doing? I am still kind of following WW, although I have been eating too much at night. I actually prefer the way my face looks right now at this weight, even though my pants are a tiny bit snugger than they were at 5 lbs smaller. I am just mainly trying to keep up my running to keep my bottom half in shape.

Carol-These Atkins girls will cheer you on!! Keep on posting!!

Jeanne-I enjoy reading your posts first thing in the mornings.
I am such an early riser. I get up at 4:00, so I couldn't possibly read any late night posts.

Had a migraine yesterday, and after I got home (had to first do all the chauffering around though), I got in bed, and didn't turn on the computer at all last night.

I will be so glad when this school year is over. I finally looked to see when my last day is, and it is June 13, if I get everything done that I need to before then. Looking forward to the month of rest!!

Have a great day, and love to all!!

Shelley,

I'm not really following a plan.I can't do Atkins because I'm not a big meat eater and I have to have PASTA!

What I've been doing is watching my portion sizes, (I'll eat what I cook for my family, but small helpings with no seconds) walking, exercising and drinking that WATER!!!!!! :D I'm also trying to eat more salads & fruits.

Do you think if I posted my daily menu, you or the others could tell me if I'm doing anything wrong? I'm so afraid that somedays I'm not eating enough and when I do eat more on certain days, I'll gain this weight back.Would you help me with this?

Thanks...EVERYONE have a great OP day!! Let's see if I can make it through day 19 being OP!!!!!!!!!

Shelley, I hope your migrane is gone and you are feeling better today. You really amaze me with all of your running!

Sherry, why don't you post what you are eating on the Easter thread? Personally, I like to punch up the amount I'm eating every third day or so. I think you have to keep your metabolism guessing! LOL If you eat the same things and the same amounts day in and day out, I think it causes your metabolism to go into a stall. That is just my humble opinion!

Have a good day everyone!

Sher: Yes, please do post on the Easter thread your food choices!!

Shelley: I hope the head is feeling better today! Heres a {{{HUG}}}

Carol: Great job!!! Keep posting!!!!

Dee: How's Mom? Did you ever get the pics?

Jeanne: Your doing SUPER!!

To all of my other Floozie friends: I hope your staying OP and life is treating you well!!

Pond update!!!!! My nieghbors dog decided to go "swimming" in our little pond. Let's just say that a 60-70 pound German Shepard can do a fair amount of damage to a small water garden!!! So, last night we drained 500 gallons of water OUT of the pond, then I had to jump in and rebuild all of the sides up with the rock again! She had also jumped around on the filter and fountain, so we needed to fix that... So, we refilled and will wait and see if she decides to come visit again in the next few days! :dizzy:

Urgent Plea

Could any of you ladies help us out? Over on the exercise thread we are making our way from Shelley's in Fort Myers Floriday over to Sherry and Debbie's in Nashville,Tennessee. We are counting any physical activity since the beginning of the year. Like pond digging Gayle....lol. WE ARE EVEN GOING THROUGH kENTUCKY TO GET TO MY PLACE. Ramona we won't be far from your place either......Count up your hours decide on the intensity of your activity and then post it for us over there. I will figure out the rest.

10 minutes heavy intensity = 1 mile eg...biking, jogging, etc
20 minutes moderate intensity = 1 mile eg...heavy raking, pond building, tilling the garden, volley ball, basket ball
30 minutes light intensity = 1 mile eg... vacuuming, window shopping, playing with the kids

Can we make it to Sherry and Debbie's before the Easter Bunny? We should be able to if we add up activity since the beginning of the year. I am sure you all have vacuumed since then! :D

BE A SPORT AND HELP US OUT.......OR I AM GONNA HAVE TO CALL PATCH OVER HERE AND LET HER GIVE US A WHOPPIN.

I reckon if you all have vacummed once a week for 30 minutes, since January 1 you have donated 14 miles each. Now I know that you did more than just that....couldn't have watched tv the whole time....who likes to shop?
