Mauvais darling, you are HOT!! :cb: Keep it up!!

Went to the gym yesterday. Burned 500 calories. I ran for 7 minutes straight, and then another 3 minutes.
I'm going to start being a little more strategic with my time at the gym. I burn 100 cal in 10 minutes on the bike. 150 cal per 10 minutes on the .... oh my gosh... my mind's gone blank. Not the step master... the other thingy...
Anyhow, less time on the bike and more on the thingy. Plus my treadmill workout, because I LOVE running!

Going to the gym this morning with DH. Back later...

I guess I should join in the fun, as I've been exercising regularly for three weeks now. Over the weekend:

1/18:

25 minutes elliptical
25 minutes bike
20 minutes weights

1/19:

20 minutes cross trainer (like an elliptical, but has
upper body exercise component as well)
25 minutes bike
15 minutes treadmill, alternating 3.5MPH/5.5MPH

I have been so good this week, I will have a fit if I don't
have a loss tomorrow. :-(

I got to the gym today. 10 minutes on cross trainer and an intense lower body workout. Have uped my weights a little, so I could really feel it burn but it felt great.
This is the last week for my first Body for life challenge. Can't believe I am on my twelth week already. I am not really happy with this challenge as I did not put a great deal of effort into it from two weeks before Xmas on. I will give 100% the next challenge though. I will be having my pictures taken on Saturday so if I am feeling really brave I will post them here or at least a link to them. I can not see much difference, but my friends and family do .
Ellis where are you? It is quiet in here today.

My goodness, ladies, you are all AMAZING! I am very impressed and it makes me tired just reading all your accomplishments!

I am walking - either on treadmill or outside. I much prefer outside! Did about 40 minutes today, which I aim to do at least 4 times a week. In the spring I hope to start running again - this time without eating so much (you don't actually lose weight if you feel entitled by the run to large bowls of spaghetti and enormous muffins etc!)

Cheers, Lidian:)

Hmmm. I DROVE to the gym today because of the cold. And I felt ill half-way through my work-out and came home instead of going out shopping (which I was REALLY looking forward to, so I must have honestly been sick).

So I just burned 325 calories today. Better than nothing.

High weight free weights: 25 lbs

I try to exercise everyday. For this month I exercised 25 out of 31 days...81 % I lift everyday. Upper body one day and lower body the next. "Godess of Geeks" thanks for showing what weight you lift. I have to work up to your amounts. I know I still am not lifting heavy enough weights because I feel NO soreness or any signs of use the next day. I'm trying to beef things up by doing two sets. I'm not saying I want to hurt myself, but there's a feeling you get when you know you've used your body the right way.

I do ellipticals 30 min. and the bike 15 min. Twice a week I run. My last run I surprised myself. I ran 3.2 miles straight in 34 minutes. Tomorrow I'll try to do it again.

That was an interesting article. Personally, I follow Body For Life, by Bill Philips. Monday- Upper body
Tuesday- 20 min intense cardio
Wednesday-Lower Body
Thursday- Cardio
Friday- Upper
Saturday- Cardio
Sunday- Free day

However, even on my non- cardio days, I do at least 5 minutes on the treadmill, to get the blood pumping to my limbs.
It is an intense workout, usually pretty sore after, like today, but worth it. I usually bench press 44 lbs, preacher culs 25 lbs, bi-cep machine 35 lbs, lat pulldown 70, leg press 266, leg extensions 90- 100, leg curl 90-100, thigh machine 150 lbs. I use free weights too, different weigths for different exercises. I try to do one or two sets with a heavier weight.
I try to stay as close to the eating plan as possible, but sometimes I eat more carbs than I should. Oh well! Gotta live too. Anyway, nice to see what other peoples WO plans are like.
Today was back and bi-ceps and I am sore today.
Take care everyone!
