Eat something bad? Nothing is inherently *bad* or *good*. Some things fit better into each person's plan, and if you just go ahead and type it out, then we can maybe help. I think...that what's important isn't WHAT you ate, but WHY you ate it, and how to either allow for it in the future, or figure out how to eat something that works better for your plan so you can meet your goal.

For the purposes of full disclosure, this week I have eaten/drunk the following "bad" foods...

Chicken wings (2)
Peeps (3)
Beer and cocktails (2.5)
Super deep fried calamari (4 bites)

But I have been very good about not eating things to excess.

Eating "bad" foods in moderation is actually very satisfying. I enjoy the taste better.

But I admit I can't keep processed foods in my house. I'd inhale them in a minute. ;)

I think that marking foods as good or bad is probably relative to each person and that I tend to think along the lines of what is more healthy for me and what is not. Don't beat yourself up though. Get back on plan and never give up on yourself and your health

I don't think you did anything wrong here. If you were having a real craving, then go for it. It's all about moderation. Don't feel bad. Just don't have 3 or 4 of them, and maybe kick in another hour of exercise this week or something.

TJB-gosh, I thought you were gonna say you ate a whole semi full of ben and jerry's or something. So...you like grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon sometimes. I LOVE grilled cheese sammiches. I make mine in the oven, under the broiler with a spritz of butter flavored cooking spray on each side. I don't use low fat cheese, but you could if you wanted to. And if you get good center cut bacon, it has less fat/calories that the other kind, whatever that is. So...it ain't as bad as you thought.

If it were me, I would sure try to get that bacon and cheese thing fitting into my plan periodically. A lot of the chicks on here say to remember that you are possibly/probably looking at a whole lifetime of changed eating habits, so why not change them to work for you. And not need to feel bad. Just my take on it. There are a lot of things I love with a passion, and I would never make it if I had to face the thought of going without them the rest of my life. Some I can do without for now, but I will have them at some point. Some I can remake into plan-friendly versions that still fit the spirit and taste of the original, and some I just have to fit into the plan as is and work other things around them.

If I HAVE TO exercise...EWWWW!!...to lose weight, then I jolly well wanna eat happy food! I think anyone at all can make just about anything fit if they think and plan and work to make it fit. Even grilled cheese and bacon sammiches. Especially grilled cheese and bacon sammiches!

And if you have an occasional off plan moment, enjoy the crap out of it and then get right back on! Don't beat yourself up or it won't be any fun!

I ate a grilled cheese today too. You can make it as healthy as possible. I need to add some more healthy fats into my diet. So I used a half a tbsp of butter to make a grilled cheese. I used two pieces of Nature Own's bread, and I used a slice of fat free cheese.

I was really craving a grilled cheese. I didn't cook it the way I would have in the past. Before this diet I would have used a TON of butter, regular bread, and two slices of cheese. I probably would have ate two grilled cheeses, and had some chips. One grilled cheese with some broccoli on the side filled me right up.

If you want to eat something make room for it in your diet, and make it as healthy and on plan as possible. It's all about moderation.

Want to know what I had for breakfast this morning?

GRILLED CHEESE AND BACON!

Well it was more microwaved... but anyway, mine was less then 300 calories. I used low calorie bread, turkey bacon and watched my cheese. It is totally doable to incorporate the things you love. Sometimes you just need to be creative.

I think the important thing is, if you eat something you consider to be "bad" or a cheat, don;t let it ruin the rest of your day, or week. Accept it, and then stay OP for the rest of the day.

Just because one tire on your car punctures, doesn't mean you have to go and puncture the other three as well, kwim?

However the above is advice I am very good at giving but not taking. It's too easy to think "Oh sod it, I've ruined my day, may as well enjoy it!"

Yesterday afternoon I was a bit down as I had argued with my OH so I pigged out on cookies. But then I wasn't hungry for my tea, so I had no evening meal. And this morning I was down 1.2 so I got away with it - lol!
