Question Lasagna with noodles?

I've really been craving lasagna. I'm still not very confident in my ability to make menus using the right ingredients, so I wanted to check and see if I can do this and make it SBD friendly. Could you use whole grain noodles with low fat cottage cheese, low fat mozz. cheese, and no added sugar spaghetti sauce? I would use lean hamburger also. Do they even make the whole grain lasagna noodles? Thank you!

Your ingredients sound great! I think the 100% whole wheat noodles work great. I sometimes mix RF ricotta with the cottage cheese and add spinach.

Yum!

Although I've not tried it, I would think this would be interesting to try

Eggplant lasagna

Ooh that Eggplant Lasagna looks so good, and easy too. Thank you so much for the link.

YUM--love the eggplant idea. I am doing zuchinni lasagna this weekend as it's on sale.

Also, I know I will be tormented for the idea but I have actually used the Shirataki noodles for replacing "normal" pasta in lasagna and in spaghetti. You can somewhat manipulate the texture by boiling them first for a couple of minutes. There are so many strong flavors in lasagna, that is what I taste.

Your lasagna recipe sounds good, lyssas. You can also make a lovely lasagna using butternut squash as the noodles. I roast or nuke mine first, let it cool, then slice it into 1/4" horizontal slices to layer in the pan.

I want to try that butternut squash lasagna sometime, but haven't gotten to it yet. I LOVE the eggplant lasagna. I also posted a recipe for a skillet eggplant lasagna if you don't want to go to the trouble of layering. Sometimes those ww lasagna noodles are hard to find, so another option would be a skillet lasagna with ww pasta - macaroni or something. Sounds yummy and now you've got me thinking about lasagna! I'm so suggestible when it comes to food.

you can use zucchini or spaghetti squash too. I haven't tried, but I would think that you could also try parsnips or turnips if you don't mind the taste of them.
