Default Headaches are GONE!

When I first started up the "diet" I was having SERIOUS withdrawls.. the first few days the headaches were horrible.. I thought there was no way I was going to do this! I had cut out sugar and it was killing me!

BUT the headaches are gone! I am not craving the same crap I was before. I am a teacher and I see people getting the junk food out of the machine (which used to be me) and I want to say "Don't eat that!" but I know they probably wouldn't like that.

ETA: I has also started drinking diet sodas... then I was read about the sugar substitute and how it wan't that great for you either. So those are now few and far between.

I am just so proud of myself for making it this far and am down 8 lbs. (not a lot, but its a start!) I can't remember my exact start date, but I joined this forum around the same time.

My DH works offshore and is gone ever other week. When he got home yesterday he said he could tell in my face I had lost a little. I was so excited!

So if you are just starting up it IS possible! Once the bad stuff gets out of your system you will feel SO much better. I even crave WATER now.

You guys have been a GREAT motivation!

Dear sweet geebus I'm glad I'm not the only one who had KILLER headaches! I felt like a crack addict detoxing... ugh, it was awful. And tylenol didn't help either. They're gone now and I had forgotten all about them until you mentioned it.

Great job for kickin' the habit.

I heard that about aspartame being really unhealthy for you, like being found in tumors and stuff.

I switched to Splenda and diet drinks that contain it rather than aspartame. They say Splenda is made from sugar, so I have less of a fear of eating.drinking it. Plus I personally think it tastes better.

I hate that chemical diet drink aftertaste blech.

Great job! I know what you mean about craving water, if I drink a diet soda, I'm like okay I need a big glass of water now. Never thought that would happen to me
