Hey Everyone,

So its after the holidays and a bunch of people at the office where I work decided to hold a "Fit Club" type challenge. Eagar for a challenge I joined in and now I figure I would post here to give myself that extra modivational push.

We weigh in every friday morning and the challenge goes until April 9, 2010.

Anyone wanting to join in is more than welcome, the more the merrier :)

02/05/10: 180.6 (-2/8.4), technically this is not accurate since I am up today due to TOM, so I am using yesterday's weight.

Well the weekend is over. I did a fairly good job at staying on plan. I did get to the gym at 5:00 this morning (Now if I can keep doing that I will be set). Heres to a great week :)

Hi girls...I had a great weekend! Didnt overeat , worked out on the Active..Thank goodness yesterday was my rest day..my legs are totally sore! well...today is my "official official weigh in day" and Im down 3.4 lbs! So far im down 7 lbs...my first goal is 16 more lbs for my Valentines day getaway with my honey!! I cant wait!!

Essa415- Good job with getting to the gym at 5am!!

How did the rest of you girls do this weekend?

Essa415, purplecrush glad to see that you had good weekends. Congrats to you purplecrush on the 3.4lbs! whoo hoo!

My weekend was by far the best start I could get! I managed to start a regular exercise program (4 mile watp) daily and went to the store and managed to come out with only healthy things! I didn't even go down the aisle with the chips and chocolates (which is the first place I use to go!). So needless to say things are looking up.....I've also been cheating by looking at the scale so I think that I'll have a good weight loss when weigh-in rolls around!

I always "cheat" by stepping on the scale during the week. It helps me know whats going on and gives me motivation when I am down! Good job with skipping the junk aisle! Thats still hard for me! I dont take my kids to the store anymore with me...I end up buying unhealthy stuff for "them" and I will usually eat it!! Keep up the 4 mile walk! Thats awesome!

I've also been cheating by looking at the scale so I think that I'll have a good weight loss when weigh-in rolls around!

Oh I do the same thing. We have a really nice scale at work so I weigh in first thing when I come in in the morning. Its frustrating when your weight fluxuates like .8 lbs up and down over the course of the week, but as long as its down at the official weigh in is all that counts.

I got like 10 hours of sleep last night and made it to the gym again this morning, I sadly hadn't been there in literally months so its good to be back :)

Well today is first weigh in. I worked hard this week but not as hard as I should have, but the weight came off. I am currently at 241.4 :) Thats 8 whole pounds!!! How did everyone else do??

Considering I lost a big *NADA* last week, I'll take a pound and a half. Besides, I think the weeks of "big" losses are over for me (fun while they lasted). I have a feeling I'm nearing that part of it where the weight comes off at a much slower rate. Fun stuff!

Count me in (a week late). The holiday season was a bust for me as I pigged out on everything and gained 5 lbs which means I've been fluctuating in the 230s since September :'( which is really depressing to think about... So yeah I'm in need of all the motivation I can get, so I'm in!

Greetings!

Another week has passed, and yet another revelation.

I deleted my food journal and stopped micro-managing my diet and still found a way to lose almost two and half pounds (more than I had in the last three weeks).

I've "fallen" into the 170s and officially entered the rabbit hole.
Let's see how deep this things goes...

Forgotten Quill - I agree that sometimes you need to stop micro-managing. Congrats on your loss!! You are so close to your goal!

Well I didn't do as well this week as I should have, it was the weekend that killed me. But concidering I was 4 lbs above goal yesterday morning the fact that my weight remained the same as last week this morning is a miracle. We did Body Pump and Step aerobics yesterday, both amazing classes, both kick your butt. I can hardly walk this morning, lol.

I am just feeling so overwhelmed this week. I have been religiously waking up and going to the gym around 5:15 am daily, but after my 8 lb loss the first week and my weight has just went "nope, not coming off", seriously a plateau already??!! I am up as of this morning and I have to weigh in early this week (Going on a weekend vacation Thursday-Monday) so I hope I can kick some major butt this week.

On a good note my good guy friend (He wants to be my boyfriend but I want to take it slow :) ) has been more than eagar to cook me healthy meals anytime I want them, tonight its grilled salmon with brown rice, veggies and a delish salad with his homemade vinegarette. I love when men cook for me.

Well I have to weigh in a day early this week, I am leaving for a weekend winter getaway this weekend so no WI tomorrow (And no work either :) ). I did fairly decent this week and managed to lose 0.6 lbs. Nothing to be proud of but a loss is a loss so I will take it. How is everyone else doing this week?

Eek! This week was super hard for me, what with the binges and all. Glad that I lost some even if it was only .4! I'm glad I had the support here to right my very troubling path or I might not have lost those 4 oz, but gained 4 lbs!

I lost 3.4 pounds this week and so continues my descent into the rabbit hole...
For the most part, I believe I can thank the kick boxing.

I passed Alice on the way down, and though we spoke briefly, she couldn't really share much insight.
Probably for the best...

I didn't know it was possible to gain that much in a week. And I wasn't even bad this week: I watched what I ate and started exercising twice a day and I'm not at all sore so I don't think I'm retaining that much water. It is TOM though and I haven't slept before 3a.m. this week, but I don't know if that can account for a 7-lb gain. Notice how calm I am now about it, I already had my crying fit yesterday. I almost just want to give up. Because I binged all through the holidays and gained 5 lbs over the month, now working hard at this, I gain 7lbs in 1 week. Amazing! I won't give up though. It'll come off at some point I guess if I continue to stay on plan.

Doing the weight loss thing based on the number on the scale is so discouraging...

I have lost like 8 inches, and feel great but the number on the scale is going nowhere. I'm not giving up but I need to start doing more things so I can be healthier and happier and not just to see the scale move down. I have a feeling I am going to be up at tomorrows weigh in but it won't bring me down. I need to realize that I am doing this for me and not a silly contest.

toastedsmoke - I am sure your number will start going down. Kudos on working out twice a day!!
Forgotten Quill - Congrats on the Loss! Kickboxing is something I have wanted to try forever.
xMeaganx - A loss is a loss :) Any reason to celebrate. Good work!

Well I gained this week, but it was only 0.4 lbs. Concidering I skipped the gym this week and was on vacation for most of it I call it a good week. How did everyone else do?

It's official: my body hates the 170s.
I had a really good week with a really surprising weight loss. I've been plummeting through the 170s for the last couple of weeks, and I'm not sure exactly of the biggest factor.

If anything, it's just more proof of my utter lack of control of the situation.
Where my body goes...I shall follow.

It could be the kick boxing. Or not...
Either way, I love kick boxing.

Essa - No worries on the gain. Hope you enjoyed your vacation!
Toasted - If anything, it's water... That or the scale has been possessed. Either way, I'm sure this week will be better.

Down 1.1 since last week. It's great and I'm happy yet I can't wait to get out of the 230's! I've been in the 230's for what seems like forever! Hopefully next week I'll be in the 220's!

I'm dancing on the edge of my first 10%, but this week has been a slow goer and so I just have to see what happens next week.

Other than that, I've been on-plan and have navigated some events that worried me. Incidentally, I was editing the original post rather than creating new ones - does it matter?

Happy Friday Everyone!

Well weigh in today was just as I suspected, I basically stayed the same with a loss of 0.2 lbs. I haent been to the gym in 2 weeks because of vacation and a nasty cold so the fact that I stayed the same is awesome! Next week I am going to kick some butt and hopefully get off this plateau.

How was everyone elses week??

So I gained.....I actually did make it to the 220's, but I got tempted, and didn't recover. My friend came to visit and brought with her one huge milka (truffle and almond) bar, and Slovakian chocolate. So I went on a chocolate binge that lasted three days and needless to say it the cause of my gain. I'm thankful it was only .7lbs, but it stinks because I was in the 220's!!!! Now I've got to work extra hard to next week to make up for this week!

Well I lost another fraction of a pound, I need to get my butt in gear. One of the ladies here at work doing this challenge has already lost like 11% body weight, I should be right up there with her but just haven't had the modivation.

So I'm in the 220's!!!! I managed to lose 2.7 this week. I'm pleased because I stayed on track and didn't go into a binge. Also I'm on week 2 of my C25K and it's kicking my butt but in a good way!

Hey Everyone!!

Well I had a 0.6 gain this week but concidering the week I had I am ok with it. My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Chicago eating great food and probably drinking too much but wow was it worth it. I think I am only .6 up because I the weather is finally nice so I started running outside.

BTW the contest here at work got pushed back a week since we don't have work on good friday the 2nd so the last official weigh in will be the 16th for me instead..
