I raked for 2½ hours AFTER working in the greenhouse all morning lugging flats from one building to another! It's called the "greenhouse shuffle". I can still move but a hot bath will be the prescription before bed!
I walked 4-5 miles today and did pushups and crunches. And I ran a lap or two with youngest DD who loves to run (but my official run days are MWF and one weekend day - so I'll do that tomorrow).
Well blow me down. Ruth, you're exercising too, huh?
You know you're not going to be able to get out of bed in the morning. Just thought I'd warn you. snicker.
And you should rake again tomorrow just to keep in shape.
Hey, at yoga last night... we were doing a lot of "breath of fire" exercises. Which involve quick breathing through your nose and sucking in/out your naval while in some bizarre posture. Anyhow, after we'd done several, we all had to lie down on the floor on our backs and close our eyes. And then we had to laugh as hard as we could for about 2 minutes. Oh god, it was hilarious. I thought I was going to bust a gut.
Ellis, you are too funny! But really, we are all doing SO well with our exercising! I can hardly believe I've worked out three days in a row, about to be my fourth. I need to start getting ready to go to kickboxing class in a moment. Sheesh... that class is difficult. Thankfully most of the class are beginners and there are a number of plus sized ladies in the class. Although the instructor is a little flaky and has a perfect body But I"m going to do it!
Ran for 30 minutes this morning. And walked back and forth and back and forth etc etc to and from school. Now I am going to go lie down next to the cat, who has been sitting on the couch ALL day!
And I'll bet your cat isn't more than a couple of ounces overweight, Lidian. Cats!!! What kind of metabolism have they got!?!?
You're right, Sojo... we're all doing GREAT!! If Ruth and Squeak are in here, you KNOW the forum is doing pretty well. Now if we could just get Dentrassi in here...
Actually Ellis, one cat is big and round, the other is slender - and these are sisters! And they both lie around all day...the bigger one was the one on my favorite sofa. She is also the one who lies right on top of my feet at night - what a life!
Went for a nice run this morning, 50 minutes. I will run on the high school track tomorrow morning to check my pace but I think it was between 4 and 5 miles.
Lidian, I'm amazed you can run for that long. I jogged for 30 minutes the other day and it was so difficult. The only reason I did it was because I told myself I would not stop no matter what until a half hour had passed... it was totally mind over matter (or mind over extreme discomfort, maybe). My next challenge is to try and jog my 5k route.
