Default Good morning!

Hope everyone is having a super Sunday. It's still a tad nippy here in Texas. Next week is going to be perfect with highs in the 70's.

Bob...it's me I promise...LOL My 11 year old just took it yesterday morning. Hope you still feel well in the afternoon. ((Bob))

Monet...if you love puzzle type games you'll LOVE hexagone. It's so addicting. I'm sorry you couldn't stay in the bed last night but glad you got a good rest at least.

Sebray...that's an average nights sleep at my house. Spinach omlete sounds yummy...I'll be right over.

omisogal...WELCOME! I don't think cream of wheat is legal but I don't remember for sure. Old fashioned oats are. Most people eat them cooked but I love them raw with milk.

Hey Susan! Are things slowing down now that the elections are over or do you have to get ready for the next ones?

Heart, Poncho, Jack-K, Deb, Toni, Beth, Sef, Mef, Jackie-O and everyone I'm missing...(((hugzz)))

Love,
Crystle

OK I lied ...I did dust off my treadmill, BUT my foot never touched it. I will try harder today to get on it. Why is it so hard? On a good note this weekend has been filled with yard work and I'm getting a fair amount of exercise.

Lastnight I went to a charity auction and dinner was a pasta bar. I'm so proud of myself for this part ...I had the chef prepare me an all chicken and veggie dish with a 3rd of the sauce he was giving everyone else! I did good! Did I mention I pigged out on a salad...so unlike me!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Diane

ok i know i said id eat a spinach and cheese omlete...but i just didnt have the energy to wash the pan lol... so i just had some WW toast with some simply fruit strawberry spread....problem is...about an hour later i was feeling really sluggish and tired...so i thought id need a little sugar pick me up and ate a forkful of chocolate lava cake that we had left over picked me up for 15 mins then i started feeling worse ... so i got smart and ate a grilled chicken salad for lunch (had some of that leftover chicken from last night...yummy on the salad ) and i fell tons better!!!

wanted to share a reciepe for some pumpkin spice muffins that i got at my local wic office...i used WW flour and splenda instead of white flour and sugar...also used sunflower oil instead of vege oil...tasted a bit dry to me...so maybe next time ill try it with some aquave(sp?)...i also used craisons instead of raisons....my kids eat these up

Master Mix (makes 11 cups)
9 c flour
1/4 c baking poweder
1 tbs salt
1 1/2 c shortening
stir together flour, baking poweder and salt thoroughly in large bowl or pan. cut in shortening with pastry blender (or use two knives) (what the heck is 'cut in'? lol) until mix looks like coarse corn mean. store in covered container at room temp

pumpkin spice muffins
2 c master mix
1/2 c canned pumpkin
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c milk
1/4 c vegetable ooil
1 tbs pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 c raisons

heat oben to 400. grease bottoms of 12 regular size muffin cups or use paper liners. stir all ingredients except raisons just until moistened. stir in raisons. fill muffin cups 1/2 to 2/3 full. bake 15 to 20 mins or until golden brown. immediately remove from pan.

1 serving: calories 170; total fat 8g; cholesterol 20 mg (with original ingrediants)

if you have any substitutes that make this even yummier pls let me know

Default Good Evening Everyone

Today was our 18th wedding anniversary and we had a splendid day!
This afternoon I shopped for SB legal food and believe that I am all set for the week.
I checked and don't think that cream of wheat is legal so I will forgo that comfort food in the future.
Is there any place that I can go to check out quick snack foods, lunches, etc that are SB legal?

Thanks and good night to all.
Donna

p.s. my brother lives in Houston and he mentioned that it was nippy there yesterday. It was down right brisk and chilly here in ole Virginny today.

I don't even want to talk about my eating the past couple of days@! It's been pretty bad and I'll leave it at that. Anyway, not much going on, just got online to check the classifieds. Still no luck in the house dept. but still looking. Oh yea, Boogie now has a broke wrist! He and Ashley were jumping on the bed and he fell off and fractured his wrist. He actually seemed okay with it, could use it okay, but as the day wore on he complained more of it. At first I thought he was just wanting sympathy. But he kept whining on and off, so I figured it really did hurt him but was probably just sore since he could move it,etc...but when he came in our bedroom a little before 9 last night saying he wanted to go to the doctor, then I knew it was really bothering him. So off to the ER and at 12:30, we were back home with it bandaged up and in a sling. Tomorrow, we go to the orthopedic doc to cast it. What fun. Anyway, I'm still here, just not doing good at all with my eating! Need a kick in the butt! My exercise was actually good last week(6 days), but my eating was horrendous, go figure. If only I can get them in sync with each other, lol. Doesn't help that tomorrow I eat at the church and then we have Thanksgiving dinner at the church on Wednesday, the holidays have begun!! I won't let myself pile on weight like last year, I'll just do a couple pounds at a time and then take them off just to put them back on, LOL! Gotta go...
