Well, I'm back and it was a fantabulous 2 days. Weather couldn't have been more perfect. The only thing that would have made it better was if we had a boat to sail while down there. Many plans and changes for us in the works, and I really feel we are finally moving forward on our "life plan."
Eating and exercise went totally out the window, but we enjoyed ourselves. I almost fear getting on the scale in the morning, and know I have to work hard this coming week before I even see the damage. I can feel it. Massive carb bloat although I didn't *think* I ate so poorly. The swollen fingers say other wise. May be from too much sitting too, which goes hand-in-hand with eating uncleanly when we make these trips. It served well as a reminder that a new season of these trips are at hand, and I have to keep control - again.
And I am a girly girl, but not at home. I spent so many years, like Nola, being one way during the week for work, and another on the weekends, that I think the best part of being a stay-at-home is NOT having to look good Monday thru Friday.
SeekInnerThinChick - I picked up my bench, weights, stair-stepper at estate auctions last summer. We already had a good bench and cable outfit that was never set-up properly, but at least I got DH to set the lat bar for me. I got my treadmill from a friend who couldn't use it anymore. I already had a rowing machine and a stationary bike. Wellah! a home gym! I envy you have a heated floor in your basement - that would be the nuts.
Tiki - hope you have/had a safe trip home!
Hi Mel, ledom and Susan! JC and Nola, hope your Monday isn't too Monday.
Well, I have to run to Walgreens and pick up the photos we took, and hopefully there will be one good enough for me to post in the album.
Later, gators. It's good to be *home* - I missed you all. Oh yeah, we bought a sailboat.
Hey gals - back in town finally! You all were very chatty while I was gone - I have 4 pages on messages to get through! Hey, it gives me something to do while I'm watching the Oscars!
I did get in 3 of 4 workouts while I was gone, which is darn good. Food was a bit lax - more carbs than normal, but not terrible. All in all, I think I did pretty well!
Will post more once I get all caught up on the reading!

Yep, this is our second sailboat, but not our last! One more to go after this, probably a 40+ footer to live on during winter months for retirement. This one's a 27 foot, sleeps 5 and has a head with doors! Beats the porti-potti anyday! It will probably be a month before it goes in the water because she'll get new bottom paint, and the marina service dept. is backed up. Gives us time to fight over a name. I named the last one, so I told him he can name this one.
They be poodles. I have 6 - 5 toys and 1 miniature. They are our "pseudo-children." I don't keep them clipped like foo-foo poodles, especially the boys. My oldest girl has a very pretty face, and I like to girly-girl her. She has a rhinestone collar and will tolerate bows in her hair, and will show off and prance. The other 2 girls could care less what they look like.
Dip, I'll let you in on a secret. "Pookie" was my first beloved Poodle.
She was named after a cute puppet on the Soupy Sales Show.
Your puppies remind me of Pookie --a furry ball of energy running around and giving us all great joy! Any you are right Pookie was never a foo-foo poodle either. She had what they called a puppy cut. No show dog- just a fun dog!
Dip, congratulations on your new boat. I hope it brings you much pleasure. It looks great but look at YOU - you look amazing, what a long way you have come. You're a great inspiration!
