I like to put baby carrots in mine. Sneak in some more color and it actually makes the smoothie quite a bit sweeter. Good with blueberries and bananas!
I have a couple of faves at the moment using cottage cheese:
Peachy Vanilla Cheesecake Smoothie
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1/2 scoop NOW Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Flavoring
1 Tbs SF Vanilla Pudding Powder (do not make the pudding)
1 c SF Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 c Sliced Peaches
1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum
4-6 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in blender.
Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1/2 scoop NOW Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
1 tsp Strawberry Flavoring
1 Tbs SF Cheesecake Pudding Powder (do not make the pudding)
1 c SF Original Almond Milk
1/2 c Sliced Strawberries
1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum
4-6 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in blender.
I get the Chobani fat free vanilla Greek yogurt and I put it in mini muffin tins and freeze. A 6-oz container makes 6 mini muffins, so each is an ounce when added to my smoothies.
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tablespoon honey
3 oz frozen yogurt (per above instructions)
1 heaping cup frozen berries (I get a blueberry, blackberry, raspberry mix, sometimes I throw in frozen strawberries, too)
