Dieting on New Year's Day isn't a good idea as you can't eat rationally but really need to be free to consume whatever is necessary, moment by moment, in order to ease your hangover. I think it would be much more sensible if resolutions began generally on January the second.

I'm going to rejoin the daily thread, at least for January. I always weigh every day but for a variety of reasons I haven't been a part of the daily thread for some time.
I am not sure yet what my plans are for January. My weight loss has slowed quite a bit; I may be reaching my transition to maintenance. But, I have a big wonderful trip to India coming up in the middle of February, and I would like to make one last push between now and then and see if I can lose a little more.
This past month I have been struggling with a little bit of overeating - I've done very well stepping up exercise but I'm not controlling my eating as well as I'd like. So, I will rejoin the thread, and see what happens !

I'm in. This is my last month to really push it before crazy time starts at work, with the 80 hour weeks and endless food. I've been stuck at 165 for a week or so and would love to get below 160 by the end of the month.
