Dug this post up from the depths because ... I made it to the 13th hole! This is starting to sound kinda like golf, LOL

Should be at 14 before the month ends. It's getting funny to realize my pants are becoming loose and I really do need to use a belt now.

What a cool idea! I have my several sizes of pants hanging in the closet. When one size fits comfortable, I look for the next smaller size that can be worn but feels kinda tight. This reminds me all day at work to pass on the many goodies that are always available...I think the belt way would be alot mof fun!

Has it really been over a month since I bumped this post?

OK, the pace has slowed some, but I began fastening the 14th hole this weekend.


I've made it this far, I will make the remaining pounds go!

Bump again... Finally fastening the belt on the 15th hole. (Actually this belt is starting to get old and fraying now, heh. Gotta finish this project up.)

I think the 16th hole will co-incide with, or be close to goal.

I will get there! Just gotta maintain the pace

Congrats on your success thus far!!!! This belt-idea is really clever. I should find one (do I even own a belt like this...I have no idea, haha) and try it out!

I do think there could be some underlying advantages to this technique. If a belt has many holes, you can keep it snug. It becomes a small background reminder to stick with the plan. And every visit to the restroom becomes another opportunity to "hole count", and remind onesself of all the hard won progress to not give up on...

Wow, 4 months since the last update... moving to the next belt hole was a slowwww melt. But at last this week, I began fastening at hole #16.

New at the edge of goal.... Looking forward now to getting down into "two-oh-something" for the first time in about ... a decade and a half!
