Thanks for making this challenge NightKatt. I want to work extra hard to reach my goal for Christmas. My birthday isn't coming up (it just passed on the 8th) My wedding anniversary is in Sept.. but when I mentioned present to me I meant the goal I set and reach will be my christmas present to myself. LOL

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I love challenges so count me in. Mondays are my official weigh-in date in any event. I was a few ounces below 152 lbs this morning and I'd like to get to 130 lbs by Dec 23, which would be an approximate 22 lb loss in 18 weeks. That's a little over a pound a week, which I'd be happy with considering my age (55) and the fact that I will be starting to get very close to my goal weight, which will no doubt slow down my losses. I'll record my starting weight in the morning and then report back every Monday:

Superhero Teacher - Wahoo .. LOVED Disneyland .. mind you that was 9 years ago lol .. and I was a little smaller then .. but I dont think size mattered there .. I was a kid again regardless I think its great you have allowed yourself that release too
I live in Northern California, so we went to disneyland 3-4 times a year when my kids were little (and I was thinner). My daughter's high school marching band is marching in the Disney parade the same weekend as my mom's birthday, so my mom and I are going alone, NO KIDS! Well my daughter will be there, but she will be staying with the band. I WILL be eating a honey pot caramel apple and some other yummy goodies that are only available at disneyland. I will get right back on plan when I return.
The last time I went was about 3 years ago and I was about 240-250 pounds. I'm looking forward to being under 200 pounds this time. It just makes it so much easier to get around!

No problem at all! Everyone here is on a journey of some kind .. and part of the fun of a journey is that you meet people of all ages, shapes, sizes, colours, sexes, quirky & weird, casual and "normal" lol .. everyone on 3FC happen to be on similar paths to a healthier life .. so regardless of the total goal ... the path is just as bumpy as those with a higher number in their weight .. everyone will have some hang up or challenge .. so welcome on in
Well here is my first weigh in .. and considering all I really did was give up chocolate and cookies for a week I am really pleased with how I did. Challenge this week is to get some "real" exercise done at least TWO days this week, making sure I drink my 8 cups of water (will try for 3 of my pump bottles). So its a good start Good luck to those that have had a week on this already .. and welcome on board to all the newbies that are starting tonight

Thanks for the challenge, NightKatt. I too have a "wedding reason" behind my hoped-for weight loss...not my wedding, but my daughter's. She's getting married next July, and she has asked me to walk her down the aisle (her father is deceased). I will be a proud Momma!
