Jif--- that sounds sooooooooooo good! I'm gonna have to try it.. question: do you think Hershey cocoa would work? I hate to go out and buy Ghirardelli just to have it sit in the cabinet and call out to me!!!!

Sue, the MINIMUM amount of protein? What is that? Does it vary from person to person, or by how much you weigh, or how much you want to lose? I need to know that, I probably haven't been getting that for this whole time!

Check the site that jiff gave regarding the protein. according to your lean mass there is a formula to figure out the minimum of protein that the body does require. that is one of the reasons when people lose weight they lose muscle mass. if you cut the calories and nutritional intake then your body will start to use the muscle that you have built to fuel the body. it is much easier to use muscle for energy that it is to use fat. that is why it is important to take in enough protein when you are dieting. I will say that it should be healthy protein and try to cut most of the fat if you can.

jiff the pudding in the shake is an excellent idea i have heard of it before. it is very good at thickening up the shake. and adding good flavor. or try throwing a spoon of instant coffee in your choc shake for the cappucino taste

you're so right sue. sometimes i use a small spoonful of medaglia d'oro instant espresso...

and sam n rosie's grandma. i use ghirardelli cocoa. no matter what kind of cocoa it is, when it's unsweetened, it tastes gross on its own.
