I was exactally where you are a few months ago. I've alway been very opposed to low carb diets, thinking them very unhealthy. My DH had weight loss surgery and his surgeon put him on a low carb diet and I started researching it. I too have all the books Atkins, Protien Power, Low Carb Lifestyles, and Carb addicts. I have taken all the information I have read and managed to put it into a plan I think I can live with for the rest of my life. I have lost about 30 pounds.
I ride the exercise bike and do water aerobics for exercise. I have had one knee replacement this year and will have the other one on the 25th of this month. That has hampered me from doing any heavier exercise.
Like everyone has said this is a great group of women. I think I'd want to hang out here even if I didn't do the low carb WOE
The only problem I have with them is that they are all a bunch of early birds. I usually don't get to the computer until after work and by that time everyone else has posted and started on the next day
(just take a look at the times of some of these postings)
