How has this worked for you so far? I've considered adding in some CoQ10 for other things, but if it will help keep my skin in good condition as I lose weight that might be thing to push me over the edge between considering it and buying it!
I still have so much to lose that I'm just now starting to see wrinkling on my belly and can pinch a little paper thin skin, so as for firmness, I'm really not sure. What I have noticed is that my "perpetual black eye" is gone My left eye has always had a dark circle around it and is puffy at the bottom. It went away after I started the Q10.
I started taking a generic store brand women's 1 a day vitamin because it was the only thing I could find that contained iron! I wasn't able to give blood before and I can now so it's been a great help. I noticed I slept better and was slightly more regular after I started but those affects have tapered off so it might've just been the influx of nutrients that caused that.
WOW! Thank you so much for the responses ladies! Now I know I should be taking something. BUT I am completely overwhelmed! Haha! I need to do some research!
Do you all take your vitamins in the morning or at night before you go to bed?!
Usually in the morning with my metformin WITH FOOD. all those vitamins on an empty stomach could make you feel sick. I suggest start out with a womens multivitamin or a prenatal. Go from there.
Just as a side note, taking supplements should not be a replacement for eating foods that contain the vitamins and nutrients needed for a balanced diet. Obviously it's not going to hurt you to take supplements, but take them alongside a healthy diet. It's also useful to look at RDA of some of these multivitamins - when I was taking them I would try and make sure I wasn't getting 200% of everything.
I, personally, didn't really notice much of a difference when I took supplements. I took fish oil supplements for a while but noticed a correlation with my skin breaking out so stopped.
I take mine at lunch (my vitamin bottle sits on my desk) or else I never remember to take them. Just make sure your tummy is full full full. I get miserably sick to my stomach if it's not!
Most multi's are ok. My nutritionist recommends going with a prenatal for most women, planning a baby or not.
I read somewhere once that if you take them first thing or on an empty stomach you're likely to have more trouble absorbing them, so I always take them at lunch so that I've already had one meal.
I take my vitamins mostly at night, take so many that when I am a little hungry at night I won't be after taking all of them. I used to take the gnc woman's multivitamin, which I thought worked better then a regular one cause it turned my pee neon yellow, just made me feel like it was absorbing better. I also like the liquid ones, if u just try a few different ones u will find one to your liking.
I am on birth control, and the doctor said they could lower your levels of vitamins. So she recommended I take a multi-vitamin. I take the gummy women's vitamins. And I take them at night, so I sleep through the nauseous feeling that vitamins soemtimes give me.
