Default YOU:On a Diet - June chatter

Hey everyone - looks like we had server issues yesterday, and we lost the last two weeks of chatter

I'll recap - Kim and I are doing a June Challenge, and trying to lose at least 6# by July first.

My work is making me crazy -too much to do and not enough time. And I'm a stress eater - that makes for a bad combo!

But it's the weekend, and I"m trying to relax a bit. Hope you are having a good one as well!

You can't imagine how disappointed I was to see all the work was gone. Well, it paid off to refocus because I am down 2.4 pounds this week!!!!! Yay!!!!

Hi you guys....Im so sorry for not being here more but my youngest Dd graduated from college and we are in the midst of getting everything done for oldest Dds wedding..so busy! Im still on track though..and hope to lose about 10 more before then. Down 60 now..yahoo!! Slowly but surely getting there...
I will be back....good luck on your mini challenge!!

Hurray Patti - 60#! What great progress you've made! Sounds like you've been busy, busy! Do you just have the two girls, or do you have more? Do you mind me asking how old they are?

Stayed the same this week. I am suffering from a head cold and retaining fluid I am sure....lots running out of my nose....LOL!!!! I have lost a 1/2 inch in the belly button area so that has me stoked! Patty....amazing weight loss!!!

I would love to lose 5 pounds this week and get out of the 220's......We may want to think about a July challenge where we give ourselves a set point value for each day that we exercise, drink water and eat our plans......They started it on 100+ support and it has helped me to stay on track the past couple of weeks although I am not so successful with the points it's a visual reminder and I can definitely see why I lost 2 last week and stayed the same this week. Just a thought.

I am in too....let's see if I can remember what I had this past week.....
2 point for sticking with your food plan (no splitting points here, you either stuck to your plan or you didn't) 1,200 to 1,600
1 point for drinking the amount of water you decided on 8 glasses a day
1 point for getting some exercise. (If you don't exercise on a given day - you DO NOT get a point for exercise - even if you planned it that way) 30 mins a day...no excuse

Sure, that sounds like a great idea for July, Kim. And yes, I can make a sticky for us to use to post our points, just like you are this month. We do similar stuff in the TBL Challenge threads (not that I'm doing that well with it!)

Hey Kim - this month is winding down, and I'm ready to start that points challenge thing in July. Tell me again how I should post that sticky?

How are you doing btw? And you Patti - still with us? It's like a ghost town around here!

I've really got to get my backside in gear - despite the recent success with WW I've had recently, I am still feeling like I'm in a major slump in my life. I've decided to join a gym (instead of using the gym at work), and get back into my body for life workouts. It's a daily commitment, but one I think I need.

Yeah....down another pound this week. Actually it was 1.4 pounds and that was staying on program. I guess it really does work but I want to lose more than a pound a week in order to get where I need to get. Sure feels good though to see the scale go down instead of up.

Glad to see we have some interest in our points challenge.

I joined a new gym today - I'd been using my work gym so far, but I'm feeling like I need a change. Plus, I want the chance to be anonymous for a while, while I get myself back in shape. This place is much larger, with much more equipment, so I'm looking forward to that. Of course there will be more people there, but that will be ok with a bigger place.

I'll be headed there tomorrow for a intro visit - looking forward to it and our July challenge!
