Default ww online

Have any of you done ww online, and if so, what did you think of it? A few of the girls at work are doing it and seem to like it and they are offering a free one week trial right now, but I want to make sure it's a good thing before I invest. Any experiences? Thanks!!

Hi Happy

I have been doing WWonline for about a month now. I like it pretty well. This is my first time ever doing weight watchers. I did plain calorie counting for my first couple months. My weight loss slowed, so I decided to try something different. I think it is a pretty good system, though getting started was a little confusing for me. I don't know if it was just me, but I felt like I had to wander around the site for a while to get the hang of what I was supposed to be doing.

Anyway, I am currently trying it. I have lost 4 pounds this month. Not a huge amount, but I'm still not always sure if I'm counting my points correctly, as well as not doing enough exercise consistently enough.

HTH

Question

I have been saving a lot of WW info I spotted on other websites. I think I more or less have the whole plan now, but I am still considering joining. I would also like opinions on WW online and whether it is worth it or not

WW on line is great. The resources there are amazing; everything from recipes to tips to encouragement. There's also a weight tracker, like on this site, and a weight planner. I do the meetings with a monthly pass plan so the on line is included. They have different message boards for Flex and Core, plus food lists, points trackers, etc.

I like WW online... except for the forums. I have to say, 3fatchicks is WAY better as far as forums go. There are a lot of not-so-nice people there that get crabby when you ask a question.

Recipes - so far I've liked the recipes I tried (which have pictures a lot of the time and I'm a very visual person when cooking) They also have a spotlight on a few different recipes a day and they tend to keep to things that are "in season" which is nice. I use the recipe builder to figure the number of points in some of my own recipes. Then I can also easily add that recipe to my points tracker for the day.

They have ready to go meal plans for each week based on your points which you can choose to use or not use... or you can use the lunch one day and not the dinner. You can also swap meals for the week around however you'd like. You can also print these a week in advance to go shopping for the next week.

The points tracker is handy, it has a spot where you checkoff things like water, multivitamin, dairy, vegetables, and oil. You can keep notes or print it off. I like to fill out a plan for the day and then print it off to take with me to keep myself inline with my plan and easily make substitutions if needed. You can also print a blank day to take with you if you wont be around a computer. Then you can just fill it in when you get home.

You can also enter your fitness on another tab of the points tracker and it will tell you how many AP you get. Another benefit is being able to look at your points progress over the week. It automatically keeps track of your weekly points. You can look at previous weeks to see which days you are higher points, etc.

It can keep favorites if you eat the same things a lot so you dont have to look them up and it has points calculators.

the weight tracker is built around the one weigh-in a week idea, but if you weigh in on a different day like thursday instead of wednesday, it still counts.

I sound like a weight watcher's advertisement don't I? lol I just know that for me, giving me something to do like this or keep track of things on spreadsheets really helps me. The site is full of other things like motivational articles, articles about fitness, success stories, etc. I think they have trials every now and then, you could try it to see if you like it for a few days and then decide.

I joined WW online on Wednesday for the trial and I was quite impressed. I love the points tracker I think I will be signing up once the trial is over.
