Hey everyone!! Yesterday I was good on pts. I only had time to ride the exercise bike 5 miles. Today I have done well stayed within my pts. I rode the exercise bike 20 miles. I was going through posts and I thought I posted on Monday, maybe I posted on another post twice. Oops!! Let me fill you guys in. The weekend was not good for me as far as eating went. I didn't do terrible, but I didn't do great either. I went off ww sat. and sun. I am back as of Monday faithfully!! I have not had time to exercise as much as I would like though. Just chasing my 2 year olds and doing the exercise bike a little. I am back on track with that today though. Lisa, I know it is rough being a teacher and dieting. I volunteered lots with my kids school and someone is always bring food. food is everywhere!! Elementary, Middle and High schools!! But I know you will not let that stand in your way!! Angel, good for you for doing the gym thing!!! I thought about going back to curves again. But I was also thinking the riveria center too. I don't know. If I do go back to curves I will probably only go 3 times a week, because I was going 6 times a week and I really got burnt out. Quick too. I drive right by one on the way home from work, so tomorrow I may stop in. Chris, how are you??? How was your company? I hope you all had a nice visit. Are you a homemaker Chris or do you work outside the home? how was your daughters first day of junior high?? I know it is a far cry from elementary school. More freedom and all and just different!! My oldest is a senior in high school. I have another daughter that is a junior in high school, a 7th grade daughter and a son in 3rd grade. I know if you are a homemaker you are really enjoying the day!!! Solitude!!! Isn't it great!!! Well everyone, I guess I better go. Everyone keep up the awesome work!!

Hi girls......Not sure if I mentioned this but also with my pulled hamstrings.....I had a yeast infection!!! blech!!! but I am very happy to say, that since falling back into a balanced carb/protein food ratio, my sugar cravings ARE ALL GONE!!!.....AND I'M KICKING THE YEAST INFECTION TO THE CURB!!!! And I might add, no more Zantac either for indigestion!!! YEAH ME!!! Hamstrings are on the mend, although stairs still do a number on me.

Dh is away working for Saturday...(been away since Wed morning) so its just the boys and I. Think we might take in a movie, been ages since we saw something. Have to go shopping for ds, his PE teacher told him his running shoes....(REAL runners shoes....) are not acceptable for gym class. apparently the elastic cord/toggle closure are not the "norm" and he MUST have laces !!!! Maybe coach would like to buy him the next pair ?

Have a great weekend!

Hey everyone! breakfast-banana/all bran cereal bar/grapes=5 pts. lunch-spaghetti/broccoli=10 pts. dinner-salad=5 pts. 20 pts. total for the day. I started going back to Curves today. I figured why not. I drive right by on the way home from work. I also thought it would be a good idea to also for measurements too. I rode my exercise bike 15 miles. So I worked out 1 hour today. I hope everyone has a great night. Tomorrow is one of my daughters birthday (it was actually on the 22nd) we are having cake tomorrow. I know I will have at least one piece and ice cream. I have my 35 pts. so I will use it on cake!! Have a great weekend.

I've been quiet for a few days I guess.

Paula-I'm working on my BS in Business Administration. I'm in my second year. I figured the degree would help me in running my husband's business. My dad is retiring in a couple years so I will be out of a job. I'm loving the peace and quiet with the girls in the school. Nicole is better behaved at home too. She doesn't argue and tantrum throw as much. BONUS!!! My daughter likes JR HI so far. My SIL is a teacher at her school so she helped out in Tiana's homeroom the first day. That made her a bit more comfortable. OF course she had to have her "freedom" after school. She asked to walk to the mini mall to go to the dollar store with a friend from school. So, in my mommy nervous way I told her it was okay. I let my sis pick her up afterwards.

Angel-OMG! You got the double whammy huh? Hope your feeling better. Why do you suppose that kids fight when they're bored.

Well I just sat around today. I killed my back somehow and it hurts all the way down into my hips and upper legs. I'm taking it easy and hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. Its been going like this for the last 3 days. So it better get better.

I'm gonna get outta here and get the chix out of the oven before the little birdie legs burn. Check back tonight or tomorrow.

Hey all! I used 18 pts. today. I worked out a Curves this morning. I used 20 of my 35 pts. on my daughters birthday cake and ice cream. I rode my exercise bike only 2 miles. I am going to try my best to ride it another 8 miles. Everyone have a great weekend!!

If my back fell off today, I wouldn't mind. It was feeling better and then Nicole started throwing her tantrum and I told her to get up off the floor and go to her room. She started yelling at me and when i tried to grab her hand to take her to her room, she dropped and tried being the dead weight girl. That threw a wrench in my back big time. Get 50 lbs dangling from your hand and threatening to yank you off balance too and its a guaranteed back pain.

So today I haven't been totally ON PROGRAM! Not even close. We went shopping though tonight and bought a bunch fresh veggies and fruits and different things to eat that are healthier so this week will be better. We didn't buy any junk food! WOO HOO! Usually when DH goes with me we buy alot. For some reason he didn't even look at it. For that, I am totally thankful.

oh Chris.....poor you and your back!! yup, 50 lbs of dangling child will do that to you!!! I hope you are able to spend some time and ice it. The last time I wrenched my back, my chiro told me to ice it, 10 minutes on and 30 minutes off. Great job on the veggies.....wooohooo.

pacemom....you are doing so well with your bike!!! just out of curiosity, how long does it take you to bike 10 miles? I would have numb bum after 10 minutes.

Morning, still a little stiff but not as bad as yesterday. Today is just not a good day though. DH's sister is in the hospital. She's diabetic with kidney failure. We went to see her and they were getting her ready for her first trip to dialysis. And tomorrow morning they are taking her to surgery to amputate her leg. She has a bone problem from being diabetic too. Needless to say, everyone is upset and scared. Just say a little prayer for her.

Glad to see everyone's still tracking here! I went off plan a bit yesterday because I went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (ack!) and I didn't eat as much as I used to but I definitely went over points. I'm still under my point total for the week, though, because I was under on a couple of days (too busy to eat much, believe it or not).

Today it's 5:30 and I have used 16 points (my target is 30). I've been eating 2 activity points on the days when I do my 30-minute walk (I count it as moderate intensity and I've done it every day except the day I thought I had a shinsplint).

I weighed myself this morning and it said 252, so maybe the scale is finally moving again. I've been stuck around 254/255 for the last week and a half or so. We'll see what my "official" weigh-in is on Tuesday morning.

School starts tomorrow! I'm a little nervous but I'll get through it. I have about 140 students this year!

Hey guys!! Chris I am praying for your sister in law and your entire family. I hope everything went ok today at the hospital. I know this is rough on all of you. My heart and my prayers go out to you and your family. Please keep us up on how things are when you can. Angel to ride 10 miles it takes me 15 minutes. Today I rode 10 miles and I worked out at Curves. I have 3 pts. left and will use that on a snack later. Lisa, how was the first day of school??? I am sure it was crazy. (first day and all) I hope it went well. Yesterday I did have some more of that darn birthday cake. I had to cut it up and send the rest to my neighbor, because it was not safe for me to have that in my house!! We don't have another birthday until October so maybe I will be ok. I have mine in Sept., but I do not have cake on my bday!! I will get a pedicure!! No calories or fat and completely satisfying!!! Today I bought a new pair of capris, size 10!! I am getting there slowly but surely. I hope to meet my goal by December. If not close to it. I think I can as long as I don't have too many slip ups. You guys have a great night and I will talk to you all tomorrow!!!

Chris - My father had his leg amputated below his knee this summer. He'd gotten a cut on his foot that never healed. One of the sideeffects of diabetes is lack of circulation in the extremities. They tried just taking the toe, a few toes, all of them, nothing worked. I was glad I happened to be in town when they did this and got to be with him for that week. It was hard on him. But now he's up and at em as much as he can be. A couple more months and he'll get his prosthetic. I think he is slowly getting used to it, but he has had a couple of falls because he just forgot he doesnt have a leg. My thoughts are with all your relatives.

Lisa - I work in the school board office in my area and I barely had time to eat the week before and week school started too! It'll calm down.... eventually. Hehe. Just be proud of yourself for being conscious of what you are eating and not eating as much as you would've before.

Tekey-That's exactly what happened to my SIL. She had a massive infection in her foot back in November-staph, strep and mersa. They removed part of her foot then and had her hooked up to a wound vac until April or May of this year.
Robin's ankle bone snapped a couple of days ago and yesterday when they took her into surgery, they drained a quart of infection out of her foot. They didn't amputate yesterday because they figured she wasn't emotionally ready. They told her the story today and they are going to do it tomorrow or Thurs. Hopefully she stays strong and doesn't feel like its the end of her world. Its not. Just a different beginning. On the positive side, they think she might not need dialysis once they get the infection out of her. That was good to hear.

Well gotta try to get some dinner going with the kids all crabbing at me. I could scream. My back is just crying out for some pain relief (Tylenol and Advil don't touch it )and I think being all tensed up makes it that much worse. Hubby thinks I should go to the chiropractor. Those docs scare me.

Chris and Gina, I'm sorry to read about the health problems your sis-in-law and father have had. They're in my thoughts. I've really started to worry and care about you guys just from posting on this board!!!

Pacemom, my first day of school was great except for the (almost) fight that happened in one of my classes!! That kid got removed and supposedly isn't coming back to my class!

I was very excited to have lost 3 pounds this past week, but I need to get back on track with exercise. Today and yesterday, I did NO exercise because I had to leave extra early for school and I did a bunch of work at night. Tomorrow I think I'm going to the gym after school and walking on the treadmill.

Today I had 25 points, so I'm under my target but it's 10 and I'm definitely not hungry right now. I'm worried about this weekend coming up because I have family coming to visit and I'm sure they'll want to eat out a few times! I'll have to really be motivated to stick to the plan!

oh my goodness, I had no idea of some of the complications that diabetes could do. My thoughts and prayers are with both of your families, Chris and Teckygirl.

Chris....I hope Robin knows she can count on you for support. Sounds like the next few days will be extremely difficult, don't forget to take time for yourself. I hope her surgery goes well.

LisaMarie...woohooo on the 3 lb loss!! gotta make that time for the gym

pacemom.....wow, 10 miles in 15 minutes? I have to check out the bikes at the gym!!! (if I ever get there.... ) Great job on ditching the leftover cake. I can't have cake in the house either.

Tommorow morning I'm going on ds's field trip to a butterfly house. I can't wait....should be alot of fun!! I'm packing my gym stuff so I can go and workout after the fieldtrip. YEAH ME!!!

Well they did the surgery today instead of waiting til Thurs. All went well and hopefully Robin will have a speedy recovery. It's kind of relief even is she lost part of her leg because she has such a hard time with anesthesia. The surgeon said it went really smooth.

Paula-There is no way I could bike that many miles in 15 min. No wonder you're losing weight so quickly. That is awesome.

My fingers are tired and I have alot of housework to do. Not much has been done this week... So I'll just say a big group HELLO and say I want reports on how everyone is doing!

check back later. I have work tomorrow and fri. I get to go pick up my textbooks. Next week I start back.
