I’m really swamped today having been off yesterday to be with my cousin yesterday at Sloan Kettering. If I miss anyone, please forgive me – I’m trying to catch up but don’t have much time.

Holly – Eating out is tough, I know. I think Jeri and Carla have hit it on the head – at least for me. Please know that I’m rooting for you!

Lisa – congrats on the ½ pound loss and way to go on using the ski machine!

Jeri – congrats on being down 3 pounds and 11 total! You go girl! Isn’t it great when someone notices?? I’m with you on needing to re-frame the snacking to relax late at night – we’ll get there!

Carla – {{{GOOD LUCK AND HUGS TOO}}}}!!!

Amy – I’m sorry you’ve been sick and hope that you got out for that walk.

MsLiz – congrats on the 2.5 pound loss!

I’ve been having a good OP week so far. I’ve really kept some of my “winning outcomes” in mind when I’ve wanted to snack at night and so far have managed to save 8 activity points towards dinner at Mom’s for my sister’s birthday this Sat. I even took her chocolate chip chiffon cake recipe (that my sister asks for every year) and calculated points for 1/8 and 1/12 size slices! Work is a bear today – I can barely keep my head above water but I’m hoping to exercise afterwards and try a yoga tape for the stress instead of eating. Wish me luck!

There is some great energy on this thread today. I do like the thoughts on eating cheesecake some other time of my life. I actually made a cheesecake for our dinner last night, can not remember what the points came out to, but I am definitely over.

I missed out on the a.m. exercise as I overslept, it was hard getting the 2 year old to stay asleep and in her own bed. So I am planning to work out tomorrow morning and a couple of times this weekend, while away. There is at least a heated swimming pool and lots of beaches. Now if the weather cooperates, I am all set.

Carla, the ski machine I bought was cheapy one, which works fine, but was something I wanted at home and cost less than $200 about 7 years ago. I never used it when I bought it as I felt self conscious having it always set up in my small living room in my small apartment. Now I have it set up next to the computer, out of the way but very accessible.

I am looking forward to a really nice long weekend and on nonfood activities.

Just a quick note - I'm swamped again at work. I definitely did some emotional eating last night, finishing off a pint of Healthy Choice ice cream. The good news is that even having done so, I still have 4 activity points in the bank and plan and getting the bank balance up to 9 with some exercise today and tomorrow - I plan on having that chocolate chip chiffon cake! I've got my Sat. night dinner all planned out - now I just have to stick to the plan.

Have a great Fiber Filled Finally Friday and a great weekend,
Judy

Hi group :-) Haven't been doing very well this week with food. I resolved to use that 20 minutes rule the last time I posted, and now that I'm back online, I'm realizing I didn't even give it a second thought this week so far! Better late than never, I'll be trying that today (Sat).

I did go to the gym 2 Xs, but not for very long. I'm trying hard to establish exercise as a habit, so I'm happy that I went twice no matter what exercise I did. I am going to work in some exercise this weekend, but it may only be a strength workout at home. I'd like to get a routine for at home workouts going that I can do without a workout video tape.

MsLiz: Hi and congrats! Please share the tips that helped you make this such a great week!

Judy: Way to go with your planning and banking! The day I can plan to deal with a family function or dinner out and stay on program, is the day I know I've truly changed my lifestyle. Way to go, and keep up all that great exercise! (PS-what kind of work do you do?)

Talk to you all soon :-) Holly
