Default Am I hitting a plateau??

So, I have been on WW for almost four months and it has gone great. There hasn't been one week so far that I have not lost. This week I only lost .5 lbs and I am used to losing almost 2. I was wondering if maybe I am headed into one of those dreaded plateaus that eveyone speaks of. If so, I was wondering if those particularly on WW have ever hit a plateau and how they overcame it. I am sorry if there is already a thread in WW section regarding this...I couldn't find one. Thanks so much ladies!!

I go to the meetings and the general guideline is you just keep going. Go back to tracking every bite if you have slipped, try a new exercise, try some new foods. All these can help break a plateau, but no matter what don't give up.

Thank you so much for your response. I have still been tracking my food really well, so it can't be that. I am definately not giving up. If anything it makes me want to work harder. I will definately try different excercise to see where that gets me. Thanks again!

Just be patient. That's all. My weight loss is totally random right now. Has been since June. SLOW and RANDOM. But overall, it is there. And since this is a life change, I'm not too fussed...

Hang in there

Don't think you are at a plateau. A plateau is when you do not lose , nothing, zero, nada and this can go on for weeks even when you are doing every thing right. It happens , many of us have experienced it, You are not there.

One week's small loss is nothing to be concerned about. Some weeks you might even fluctuate up several pounds once in a while, because of a higher sodium meal, impending TOM, or just undigested food. While in general it is normal for weight loss to slow as time passes, this slow week might just be a blip. In any event, just keep doing things right.

And yeah, a plateau means no loss, for weeks or even months.

Thank you all so much! I guess I shouldn't be too concerned because like some of you said...I did lose something. Im just happy it wasn't a gain. I think it's really tough for me because I am new to this and I don't know anyone who has ever had to lose what I have to lose. Thank you again...I don't know what I would do without this forum!!!
