Unreal!

  • Hey everyone. I just wanted to say that I can't believe I have got this far. I have lost a pretty good amount of weight and it just seems unreal to me. I stand on the scale and it says I have lost weight... But I look in the mirror and can't see that I am smaller but I guess that is because I see myself everyday. It's kind of upsetting.
  • I do the same thing. It's really hard to see weight loss on yourself. Try taking pictures every ten pounds so you can compare.
  • I have the same problem. I should have taken "before" pictures. But my old clothes are HUGE on me so I KNOW I've lost weight!!
  • I totally know what you mean! I've lost 11 lbs, but looking in the mirror I can't see it. It's only in seeing pictures of myself and knowing my clothes are starting to get way loose that I know I'm actually losing the weight.

I think we all get so used to seeing ourselves a certain way that we don't see the changes as they are happening.
  • I know the feeling...it's why I stopped doing anything and now I'm upset I did, because if I would've just kept going I would probably be pretty darn close to where I wanted to be...at least I haven't gained anything back, but that's not the point...the point is to keep going forward and soon enough you will notice. Everyone has been telling me lately..."you had lost so much weight, why you stopped?"...what do you say to that? It's my own fault...just keep going girl!!
  • I find it really rewarding to record my measurements (waist, arm, thigh) and make comparisons that way since clothing sizes and pictures (and even scales) don't always show the whole picture.

WTG everyone on your weight loss!!!
  • I think everyone finds it hard to see the changes when you lose. I have been basically at the same weight now for two months but I have lost a few inches--that is why measuring you arm/waist/hip/thigh are a good idea.

I think I am destin though to stay at this weight-frustrating!
  • I CAN see the changes on me and I still don't quite believe it's happening!
  • Taking pictures from behind are usually a great way to see the difference! Butts don't lie!
