Well I have been out of touch and off the wagon now for way to long, so Monday is the big day for me this month the moment when I weight in and see the horrible truth! But what better way to motivate?

I like the thought of the challenge of the 50lbs loss this month and I know us chickies can do it! We are a determined bunch when we set our minds to it.

I am going to try something a bit different for me, or I should say just a different set of foods. still going to eat plenty of veggies but going to add a bit of bread (I have been baking you see) I have been using high fiber whole wheat flour so that should help.

Now if I can just get back into the exercise thing again...I need some new indoor suggestions as it is still wet here most of the time and I am not real keen on splashing through the puddles for the sake of exercise...any and all suggestions are welcome

Hi Nancy... I'm back... I haven't technically lost any weight since the last time I was here, (February) so here I am, ready to try again. We are planning on TTC starting in July, and it is definitely about to be swimming weather, so NOW is the time to lose some weight! I will get down to 165 soon! (That is what I weighed when I got pregnant with my first over 3 years ago - and I had about 30 lbs to lose THEN) I haven't been under 167 since January of 2006, so May of 2009 sounds like a fabulous time to head that direction... And if I can get to 150 before I get pregnant again, there will be a freakin' PARTY at my house. I am committed! I just have to remember that there are no "special occasions" that constitute breaking out of my points right now!

Welcome back sara! I did weigh myself and really was not suprised. I just adjusted my ticker too. I have gained 8 pounds since Jan and my clothes feel it.

I printed a new food journal this morning and put my points in for the wendie plan that seemed to work better for me than using points and flex. we will see I may flip flop between the two each week.

My first new goal is to hit 149...something about that number. So here I go

Going well so far - I managed to stay OP yesterday, and even calculated the points in the Chicken Tetrazzini that I made (with a few substitutions to help that fat content). I had a good 45 minute walk, too, and now I am ready to stay OP all day today as well! How is everyone else feeling this morning?

I'm not sure which is more riduculous: that a Snickers bar is 6 points, or that I ate it anyway... Now what shall I do with my 3-4 points I have left at 2:30 in the afternoon? Sigh.

A nice low point soup? With a low point sandwich.....

We like 100 calorie english muffins, split and made into mini pizzas
Muffin 1
pizza sauce 1
Cheese 1
canadian bacon 1
total of 4 and then a few zero point veggies....yum

Um... so I opted for sunflor and pumpkin seeds attached to melted chocolate chips, and a few bites of my kids' cheese and tortilla. LOSER evening. But somehow I was blessed to not feel hungry later on (and to be too busy - though I did manage to bring home a LOT of groceries on my 10 pm shopping trip... maybe I WAS hungry?) and never even really ate dinner after that. And I got to watch my favorite - Biggest Loser, which motivated me to NOT eat anything, since I didn't actually feel hungry, even though I hadn't technically had dinner... So I was only at 30 pts for the day, even after messing up (twice!) Yay! Doin okay today - cantaloupe, banana, and 2/3 of a cinnamon nutri grain eggo, plus some chex mix for a snack. (that wasn't planned, but I did make sure I counted the points in) Lunch in a while. Had a fabulous pilates class this morning, and hoping to get a walk in later, maybe? Hope everyone's having a good day!

well yesterday was a good day but no exercise worked late, then worked more when I got home...today points wise went a bit over, had one of those I was really hungry mornings and ate two breakfasts LOL

Looks like ctrsara and cirara you both are doing great..don't let the little slip ups get you

Tomorrow will be a great day...did I say I was doing the wendie plan? oh well if I didn't tomorrow is suppose to be my high day but I will play it by ear. I am planning a new dinner recipe I found for spicy shrimp cesaer salad but I need to figure up the points since it uses anchovys and and all I have is anchovy paste. the lettuce, shrimp, spices and a corn tortilla will be easy to calculate.
found it on pbs everyday food..they actually had some really good ones I want to try

night chicks

"2/3 of an eggo"
Toddler help..... Sounds like my eating plan. My little one loves to help eat my skinny cow ice cream sandwiches.....yum

We went to a Hungry Girl book signing last night in Dallas. Had a great time for awhile but tried to take the toddler. DH tried to take her downstairs and look at books..... She was crying for me, people looking at him funny so he brought her to me and then she would not stay in line without a major meltdown.... So i left without a signature. Oh well. I did get to try vitamuffins. YUMMY! must find those.
I also received an email to get a coupon for a free 2 piece grilled chicken dinner at KFC. The news said it caused a wild time for KFC yesterday so I will wait a few days before even trying to give it a try. Looking forward to finding another healthy choice to try while out. And getting to try it for free, well that is even better.
I love this time of the year. I am enjoying so many seasonal fruits (watermelon, cantelope, etc). I think I will see if the local orchard is open yet and check on some fresh peaches..... I think I may be a few weeks early but they have so many tasty varieties there.
My work slacks were a little looser yesterday. Hoping that means I will see a loss this week. At least it helped me feel like it might be a possibility.
Eating was reasonably good yesterday. We went out after the book signing for Mexican food, so my WPA is pretty much gone, but that is what they are for.

Ciarra sounds like you had quite a day! And to have your clothes feel loser whoo hoo!
Another good choice while you are running about would be a 6" veggie sandwitch at subway...minus the cheese 5pts..it can be a life saver. Also if you like cucumber rolls? 12 small ones only 4pts -- very filling.

Tonight I am going to try a new receipe I found on pbs everyday food. spicy shrimp cesear salad. I still need to add up the points for the dressing.

My point goal yesterday was 22 and I ate 29 whoops so being on the wendie plan today was to be my really high day so I took the extra points off of it. I can only hope I drop a bit this week -- Monday will tell

Not doing too hot today, but hanging in there. Yesterday wasn't amazing either, but I haven't stopped counting once this week. I like how when you're "on" plan, your "bad days" are so much better than any other day (eating-wise) when you're not paying attention. At least that's true for me!

csara, I know what you mean about bad days and good. Even a bad day recorded does not get totally out of hand but if I stop writing oh boy look out...guess that is why I gained again or gained the past 2 months

May is a new month hehe
