  • Hello ladies,

I used to attend meetings back in 2002-03, and enjoyed and was losing. I know Weight Watchers works,if you stay within the daily points.

Now, I can't afford to go back..and started today on a personal daily points..I am not sure if weight watchers still has this plan..which is a few questions and comes up the daily points. I had found this on some site few years back.

I am 42, and weighing at 390. I am ready to change my shape and learn to eat less and stay active. Right now, am focus on staying within my points, which my 1st day, 4 points over..oh well.

Hope on cheering you all...and getting some tips, and healthy fiber snacks ideas.

Thank you for listening and enjoy your weekend.
  • Sorry, it is afford..busy day I had..
  • H there! The basic plan is the same, although renamed to "momentum". They dropped the Core part of the program as a separate thing, and combined elements of Core with Flex to create Momentum.
The idea is that you get a basic number of points each day.
So you get a set number of points daily. You get 35 Flex points to spend each week if you choose. You also can earn exercise points, but that comes in once you have a grip on the diet, so maybe just focus on the eating first...
Welcome back, and I hope this helps!

  • Liliann,

Congrats on taking the initiative to get started. There are lots of people who do WW at home on a variety of plans.

I had huge success back in 2001 with Winning Points, so even though the program has changed a couple of times since I last attended a meeting, I'm sticking with my old plan. Nothing wrong with that and there is some extra motivation there knowing it has worked for me in the past.
  • Thank you Kira! This is what I have, but did not know we allowed exercise points and weekly points allowance...am using winning points calculator, but will switch to the flex points calculator that I have...Thank you so much. I copy and paste this to save.
  • Awesome, Ms Lili! Just get the hang of the diet and things will fall into place. As for the points calculator with respect to food, well, they are pretty much the same.
Post any time, and pm me if you need help!

  • Hi Lillian,

What you might want to do if at all possible is take advantage of the free registration and go to one meeting I believe it is 13.00 and you will get everything you need and you get to speak to a leader who will explain and go over the program with you.

OH...........Good Luck with the program it works great!
  • Lilian great to see you here! I am like you and can't afford a meeting but was able to find the tools necessary to get going online through all types of websites and on this forum.

But....I must say I have not been a faithful follower I slip off the wagon more times than I am on so ..... lol you are new and the pressure is on..help me!
  • Thank you all for the welcome!!

Nancy.. Seen on your ticker that you are doing good, 14 Lbs is awesome! This journey is taking one day at a time. Hang in there.
  • Welcome, Lillian!! I just started WW at home a week ago...the chicks her are awesome in regard to answering any question etc.

I ordered some materials for the momentum program online (e-bay had enough to get me started). I use to do WW years ago and they used the point system which worked well for me so I figured that whatever they got going now must be good too.

I hadd a GREAT 1st week....didn't think I would lose as much as I did 5.2lbs woo hoo

Great to see you're back to WW and hoping that you will find much success with it.

((((HUGS)))) ~ Ivory (still waiting to get her ticker)
  • AWESOME. Ms Ivory!!! Keep it up!!!
    Kira
  • Thanks, Kira.....I am hoping that week #2 goes as well!!! And it's been pretty easy to follow the plan....just trying to get into a good variety. That will come in time, I guess.

Thanks again for the motivating words...they mean alot!! ~ Ivory
  • Great Job Ivory!!
  • Thanks, Liliann!! I gotta keep going and losing 5+ lbs in the first week is certainly motivating enough for me.

Hoping that you will be smiling when you see positive results as well

    ~ Ivory
  • Hi, I am doing WW at home as well as I cannot afford to go to the meeting at this time. I have all the materials from doing a at work program when it switched to momentum. I just have to journal and stick to my points. Have you found it is easier to "cheat" when you do not have to face that scale? How do you stay on track?
