Worst time of day
Anyone else have that time of day when you have the hardest time staying on plan? For me it is night time. I know that it is night time for a lot of people but it is so frustrating for me. I can go all day and be fine and happy but 8:00 rolls around and I want to eat the house.
How do other people deal with this?

Hey, yes. Same for me. This is the most common time for people to overeat. Most nights I have started going to bed by ten--but I might even move that up to nine as Spring arrives. I try to "save" a fair amount of calories for evening so I can indulge somewhat in the evening.

Ug I FEEL your pain.
I try to keep myself busy- do something with my hands. I'll play video games or talk online with friends or something so I won't have use of my hands. I also play with my pets, that helps

from 7pm till bedtime I am such a mess. I try to read, watch tv but nothing seems to give distract me during that time. I keep low point things handy...popcorn, pickles, raw veggies but they don't seem to do the trick. I have found that sugar free choc pudding with fat free whip topping helps with the sugar craving most times....when we solve this riddle we will make millions LOL

Sigh I just ate a green pepper, a little can of tuna, and some pickles. I do not know why I get so hungry It is really frustrating. Other than this time of day I am doing so well.
How many points are popcorn and chocolate pudding?
I can use any low point suggestions there are.. I can't afford meetings so you all are my meetings lol.

I find that cravings are like when you are having a baby -- when they are so bad you can't stand it, that means it's almost over! So I look at cravings that way, thankfully mine are not ALL THE TIME but they just hit me at certain points of the day.
Lately my 3:00 snack monster has been conquered by mint! Yes mint! Crush up a mint leaf, stick it up your nose and have a cup of tea. In 20 minutes you don't want whatever it is you wanted in the first place. Also if people have yummy smelling food in your home or workplace the mint sort of cancels the smell.
For nighttime munchies, I like to wash my hair. Can't eat in the shower. Still got the munchies? Paint your nails! Can't stick your hand in a bag of chips with wet nails.
I'm looking at it like, not even one day or one meal but one craving at a time, if you can get through it and get to bed, YOU WIN!

Mine is and always has been at night especially when the house is quiet bc the kids are asleep. I swear the fridge beckons me. I used to binge like crazy almost every night, but I am getting a handle on that. I too have been saving extra points for those midnight munchies and are trying to replace foods. Like during TOM, all I wanted was chips and cheese. I bought green olives for the salt and had low fat cheese instead of full fat. That way, I still got a bit of what I wanted without going over board.

This happened to me when I was living with my mom and snacking through midnight. Now, am living in a boarding home which the kitchen closes at 7pm.
Hang in there and snack on veggies, which are 0 points...You can do this!!

Hi all....night time is my problem too. I find that saving some points really helps and I indulge in a non-diet treat. I had this Champ cone the other night made by Blue Bunny....I believe it was 7 points but it was really really worth it!!
I think that sometimes indulging in that "treat" that you just must have makes up for the day of eating foods that are keeping within your points....WW allows for flexibility and you CAN eat what you really enjoy....you just have to figure a way in which you can balance it in!!
BTW....I found a Blue Bunny treat that just came out....it's a vanilla brownie sundae cone and also a chocolate malt one each are 5 pts and really take care of my sweet tooth.
Hope that some of this helps.....the way I see it I can eat a few 2 pt snacks or one 5 pt that really satisfies my need at the time.

Hi there!
Make a nice hot pot or six of caffeine free tea -- it is warm, filling, gives you something to do (you have to hold the mug or you'll spill it!). Have 3 or 4 large mugs of tea, then re-evaluate. Then make more tea!
This works for me. I drink the fruit teas or the herbal teas because they smell fruity and it makes me feel like I'm having a treat.

Ohhh yes, I have to save points for snacks, I go to bed at 10 but the time between 7-9 is the worst. I've tried doing the big pot of tea thing which I love, it is so satisfying, but the problem with that for me is if I drink too much liquid after about 7 p.m., I'm up in the middle of the night running to the washroom, lol. Sooo, I snack on smartpop popcorn, with a little seasoning and butter spray, and I also do the pudding thing, but I add a whole bunch of canned pumpkin (sweetened with splenda and spiced like pumpkin pie) I put the pumpkin at the bottom and pudding at the top. If you reeeeeeaaaaallly stretch your imagination, it ever so vaguely reminds me of pumpkin pie. More importantly though, it's super-filling and pumpkin is super-good-for you. Also, those 1 pt mini-bars, choc mint are da bomb! They're expensive tho
