Cool Starting WW AGAIN!

Okay...it was totally depressing to move my weight tracker back up to 155. Last time I was on here it was 145, but I actually had gotten to 141 at a point. My clothes aren't fitting and I've managed to sabotage myself again. I planned on starting WW today...so last night I binged on cookies, chips, coke, wendy's frosty, fish sandwich, fries, etc.....this has got to stop!

Everytime I start a "diet" I obsess over food and binge eat a bunch of junk. I just can't seem to get out of this mindset. I know everyone says WW keeps you from feeling hungry all the time, but not me. I feel hungry constantly on WW. So far I have had 2 cups of coffee (little coffeemate in it), a piece of low cal toast and an egg made with cooking spray. I'll be on here often for motivation.

I really do look like the michelin woman again....bikini or not!

I've been there! I restarted ww in January, and although it's been an up and down ride on the scale, overall it's still down!
The thing that keeps me full is tons of veggies! They're free, which is nice, so include them everywhere.

Well I too eat what I call a ton of veggies but there are days when I can't seem to get full and I do obsess on what I am going to eat each day. So we can all support one another from one food junkie to another....keep up the veggies and for those days when chocolate has to be there I rely on my sugar free pudding with fat free whipped topping

I am not a member of WW but believe that have a good program. I count calories and not points. I can tell you I am never hungry calorie counting unless I choose to be. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Just remember you are not alone. You sound like me. I am starting over again trying to lose the same ten pounds that I lost last year and gained back ugh! It is one day at a time. And it really is not about the food, though it may feel like it. We are using food to fill the void and we have to learn to conquer that one moment at a time....

Well...day 1 over...I kept at 22 points. Very difficult since family had hamburgers on the grill...I had to starve all day to have one. Also, DH decided to snack most of the night and drink sweet tea. It is so hard when everyone else around me is eating constantly....all junk food at night too.

yeah! you made it through day one...

I am where you are at 22 pts a day and it can be hard to stay within the points but remember you have your flex points too! So don't starve to have that one hamburger. I play little tricks on myself for example when we have burgers on the grill- mine will be a turkey burger on an english muffin 4pts
Sweet tea? I use splenda, snacks at night mine are micro popcorn, dill pickles, suger free choc pudding with fat free whipped topping...the list can go on an on and no one in the family gets to eat 'my' snacks

Good job with the points! If you are really craving snacks-try those 100 calorie packs-they even have cupcakes! I too have a huge problem with binging junk--especially at night when the kids are in bed and I swear my kitchen taunts me. But, be strong. You are already well on your way

Thanks for the tips...I like the idea of having my "own" snacks. It would sure beat sitting there hungry watching everyone eat....I know it is a lifestyle change...I just need to get in that mindset. I kept within my points yesterday too and have all my food planned out for today. Gonna go get some Cherry/Vanilla Dr. Pepper for treat drinks...they are actually pretty good!

I too am back on the weight watchers wagon and am trying to do it alone instead of going to the meetings, since $$ is a bit of an issue. I lost a lot of weight the first time I did weight watchers, but it has all crept back.

I also have days when I feel hungry, but I'm learning that it's not for lack of points. I think I have a fear of success issue, and when I think change is really going to happen, I begin to sabotage myself and eat poorly. How ridiculous is that???

Staying full: The keys are making sure you're getting veggies, which it seems you do. And Increase your fiber in take. I have essentially wiped our house clean of low fiber grains.. No white bread. rarely does DH get bagels in the house or white bread! And once you get used to the increased fiber, you really won't be hungry as much!
I look forward to seeing your progress!

omg...that's me...anytime I commit to restarting my exercise and diet plan..I BINGE on everything! WHAT is the deal...

I also do ww at home on my own because of the $$ issue...I love this plan..it's not as anal as counting every single last calorie..however it is effective..and nothing is restricted...

I can't yet do 22 pts...I can do 26 and I was losing weight last year on it, but I gave up???? I am 7 lbs more than what I was last year on it...but I think I can get a handle on it and do it again! I need support though.

Jendiet: I hear you! The $$ is a major issue for me and I like WW because it is all my own food and I don't have to pay out a bunch of money for something that will temporarily work. I actually considered the "cookie diet", but decided against it because I knew I would gain weight once I went off it. I'm looking for something long term.

I'm just starting to realize that every happy event in my life from childhood up always centers around food. I was always the skinnny girl who ate everything and anything...until about 5 or 6 years ago! I've got to get out of the mindset that food=happiness. Hard to reprogram!

Proud to say that I have stayed within points everyday so far. I'm not allowing myself to weigh until Monday...but I can tell I've lost a little

I had a new job starting March 30, but just got the call yesterday that I may not have it! That was one of my motivators for getting weight off.

I loved the pudding and popcorn advice.. I bought some and it is a really yummy snack solution! Thanks

I have been on and off of WW a million times..... for that reason I thought of going back to it b/c it works if you let it...... but I too have a problem with the $$. I am getting married in Vegas in May and I don't want to spend money I could have used on something else on something I know how to do. I have lost quite a bit of weight on my own..... kinda. It has been a combination of things, but I took 1/2 prescription diet pills, I have a treadmill desk that I walk THREE hours a day on, and I started out doing a modified WW. HOWEVER, I lost weight FAST, and I do not recommend that now. I work for a physican that gave me talking to about what it did to my body for losing the weight so quickly. Anyhoo..... I said all that to say this.
I am trying to finish it up the "right" way. I have learned a lot these past few months and I believe this weight loss is going to stick.
The whole deal with being hungry, I learned if I eat "real" food such as a chicken breast instead of chicken nuggets or strips with veggies-- I am not hungry. BUT if I have nuggets and fries, I am bound to be hungry. The only adivse I can give you--- and it is hard for busy moms and women is plan, plan, plan. Cook ahead and if you are hungry force some veggies in.
