Hi everyone! I too am in the same situation. I really want to go to the meetings but can't afford it and don't have time. I have two little ones at home. work full time, and school part time. I have the material for last year and have re-started the program at home. Even the online program is super expensive!!

I absolutely HATE going to meetings, so at home works for me just fine.
I weigh in in my jammies first thing Wed morning and then go online and tell everyone how well or how bad I did while drinking my coffee! :-)
There is a LOT of support online, even right here on this board. Much more than you will ever find at a meeting.

Default WW at Home

I do WW at home without meetings as well. I have never been to a meeting but I think that I would be uncomfortable weighing in front of everyone and discussing what made me not eat a donut yesterday. Anyway, I did WW at home a couple years ago too and lost 48 pounds. But, I didn't stick to the program afterwards and am now up 58 pounds!! All that work for what? Today I restarted the program and have done fantastic! I still have 2 points left for the day and I even exercised!

Hi: I was just visiting and read your posts and thought I would suggest a website where you can find WW points for foods and for all restaurants. You may have heard of it already but for the ones that haven't, it may help you with points. It's called www.dottisweightlosszone.com.

I usually post on another WW thread and recently joined 3FC. I used to go to WW meetings and loved them. I was weighed privately and the leader was very entertaining and the meetings were lively and informative. I lost quite a bit of weight. Then I went through a terrible divorce that lasted a couple of years and gained the weight back because I stuffed down my feelings with food. I used food as a coping mechanism for my anger and the loss of a 20 year marriage and didn't really care about anything for a while. I weigh more than I have ever weighed and decided I need to get real about myself and take care of my health. I thought if I killed myself from obesity then my ex would win.

I had to meet my family for a week long reunion last month in Tennessee. My 8 brothers and sisters are all slender and so I was the fat one in the group. I was dreading to go and tried to lose a few pounds before they saw me but what's a few pounds when I need to lose so much. I was embarrased and disappointed in myself. When I came back home I thought about losing weight for a few weeks and finally decided I had to break my bad habits. So, I'm on a new journey to health. I can't afford the WW meetings right now either and will do the program at home using the WW materials I already have. Reading and posting on 3FC seems to really help me stay motivated.

Oh, if you can't get to the gym and don't have a treadmill or stationary bike in your home, you can pick up a tape by Leslie Sansone called 'Walk the Walk". There's a 1 mile, 2 mile, and 3 mile. You can get them at Wall Mart or Target. I used them when I couldn't get out to walk and before I got a treadmill.

Good luck to you all.

Default WW at Home

Hi everyone, I to used WW at Home a few years back and lost weight. Now I find that I have been diagnosed with Pre-diabetes and have to lose weight. I cannot afford to go to meetings so am going to try doing it at home again. This time I must make sure it stays off. I find the first few days really hard and tend to break out at night. I live in Australia. I belong to another site at 3fc so know the ropes.

I have so been struggling to do it on my own at home for the past 2 months! I do really good have gotten down to 185 and now am back to 195! I think I might need to try to find it in my budget and time.
I just can not seem to find the time to excercise. I get up every morning at 5:30 and get ready for my day at daycare. ( I do in home daycare) then the last child leaves at 5:00pm and we are off to soccer or baseball Monday-Thursday until almost 8pm. Then it is home dinner and water plants, kids showered/bathed and put to bed. I keep trying to wake up earlier but that just doesn't happen! Any great quick tips for excercise. We are also always eating on the fly so usually it is McDonalds. I keep thinking I just need to suck it up and pay the fees and go back to meeting but I was there for 6 months before and I really went no where with my weight loss and had a hard time making it to a meeting! Any advice positive or negative is appreciated!

Hi, just butting in here.. I just registered here today, and I'm glad to see there are so many others doing WW without the meetings. I had subbed to the web site (kind of expensive for what you get, I thought) and a friend had extra materials that she gave me. I get WW magazine, but don't know if I'll renew it.

Anyway, I don't have time or extra $$ for meetings, either. But I've been following the plan and lost 8 lbs in the last 4 weeks, mostly because of online support. I'm glad to have found this site and this forum, because it looks like lots of us are in the same boat. I just want to learn to eat sensibly and sanely and take the weight off at a reasonable rate, so I can keep it off and (Hopefully!) not end up with too much loose skin when I'm done.

Have a great day, and keep counting those points!

I plan on starting at home b/c I hate going to the meetings here! Me and my aunt both were on the plan 2 years ago and I lost 30 lbs in 3 months, but I've gained it back since then, so I want to start it again because I know this plan will work.

Welcome! I've now lost 13 lbs in 6 weeks. Slow but steady, right? Glad to see more people here.

hi Ladies, I too am to poor at this time to do WW meetings. I am trying to lose 20 pounds by september 22. That is my birthday and I want to look better. I need to lose about 60 pounds but will settle for 20. I am hoping I can do this without the meetings. Looks like I am not alone in this!
