Hi everyone,

I'm starting WW at home. I did the program a few months back so I have everything I need....Do you guys think the WW online is beneficial as I have all the materials. I want to lose at least 50 pounds, and I this time keep it off, by making this a lifetime change.

I really like the online option. I have all the books but can't always find the points for food items I want to eat. The online journal has almost everything and allows you to save your favorite items that aren't listed as well as calculate points and save favorite recipes. The online points calculator is also more accurate than the cardboard thingy and they have menus with shopping lists and recipes. I love it!

I'm also doing it at home on my own. I used to attend the meetings, and as I have all the material, it has been quite easy... for now... Hope to make it this time and keep all the extra weight off Sometimes I miss info exchange in the meetings, but hey, that's why I'm here!

Good luck marymary, I know you will make it!

I attend meetings, but I use the eTools to track my points. I absolutely love it. It is so easy and when I go on travel for work I always have access to it and can look things up ahead of time before I go out to eat. Good luck!

I agree with finding some good materials on Ebay. I lost 52 pounds since the first of the year totally doing it on my own with the WW materials I have. I have never attended a meeting in my life either. This just "feels" natural, ya know?

I'm finding it very difficult to do... it all seems too complicated for my mind lol. How do you calculate the portion sizes? I would be really greatful for your help... or anyones for that matter.

That part is hard. I end up eating a lot of Lean Cuisine type of meals, but once a day because I'm just that lazy. LOL I try and use measuring cups and spoons for those things that require measuring. But for the most part I "guess-timate" my portions. I think like a fist sized portion of any kind of meat, which may equal close to 3 ounces--that kind of thing. It's a struggle sometimes.
