I've looked EVERYWHERE on the net for nutritional info for East Side Mario's... I was wondering if maybe it's in the companion book since it's no where to be found on the net. Please help! Thanks

Please bear in mind that not every restaurant on the planet is going to be listed. Consider it a privilege that we even have the scope of information we do. You can guesstimate fairly accurately by comparing what you're eating there w/ foods listed from other sources/restaurants. You will not NOT lose because you over/underestimated a couple of points in either direction in an occasional restaurant meal. Good luck.

I didn't mean to sound rude if you took it that way, I was just asking a question and hoping that somebody had the answer!

Default no apology necessary

Divvy you weren't rude at all. I'd say you got a very abrupt answer. I hope it wasn't meant the way it sounded. Don't stop asking questions please.

Default Not rude at all

Unfortunately, you can't see a person's facial expression in an email. I wasn't being rude, just direct and stating facts. One of our problems (as an enterprise, as a business, and for us as leaders) is that everyone wants the points calculated for every combination of foods they eat -- which is borderline impossible :-). So, what happens is, ONLY when a restaurant is willing to give us nutritional info (which by the way, only fast food chains can do because of cost measures, fastidious quality control, and no one creative in that kitchen :-) can we calculate points. Again, if we were doing this by calories, as in the old days, it would be the same thing.... If you ate in a restaurant, and had to count calories, would you know EXACTLY what was in a food combo? No, you'd do your best to guess, and take it from there. :-)

How about points for Japanese steakhouses? The one I am going to tonite is Gasho's. I found points for regular Japanese restaurants but not the steakhouses.

Anything in a japanese steak house is similar to anything you get in other restaurants. Grilled, sauteed, etc. cooking methods are the same as anywhere... be careful of tempura (battered and fried) and all other foods are appreciably the same. The points system is largely "Guestimation" and not an exact science. Use your resources to help you over the hurdles and you'll be fine. Use your knowledge to order wisely... fish, chicken rather than beef; veggies, etc. Have a good meal.

You might also try www.dottisweightlosszone.com; she has a very large listing of restaurant points--MUCH more comprehensive than WW. The WW Dining Out Companion is fairly useless to those of us who don't eat at fast-food joints.
